I've eaten there only twice but, both times, the food was way too salty. Comfortable environment. Good wait staff

Everything is good with the service, but the food shouldn't be called Italian at all; it's fake and too salty.

The Lemon Dill Salmon with Spaghetti Aglio Olio and Asparagus was amazing, along with view outside. The vibe was relaxing. It was a nice experience. My server Deziree was nice, attentive, friendly, and provided prompt service. My birthday was on Thursday, im celebrating my birthday through the weekend. Thanks for the great experience

Our first visit was in May of 2001 13 years before we moved to Federal Way from Ohio in 2014. Since then, we have returned 13 more times and have always been satisfied. Usually we visit about twice a year but our last visit was in 2021 so this was sort of a reunion after we moved from Federal Way to Des Moines. Not much has changed. The indoor atmosphere is still upscale with white tablecloths and nice dinnerware. We were celebrating my wife's 79th birthday with our daughter, so-in-law and 2 grandsons (11 & 13). I do not usually order mixed drinks in restaurants but decided on an Old Fashion and it was one of the best I have ever had. I ordered the house wedge salad and it was unique with bacon, blue cheese, candied walnuts and bacon. My son-in-law ordered a large one as an entree and enjoyed it with a side of beef tips. While we waited for our entrees, we consumed 2 plates of the wonderful fresh bread they make in their pizza ovens. My wife and I and one of our grandsons each ordered the Fettuccine Neptune. The rich Alfredo sauce was delicious and beautifully complemented the generous portion of seafood. My daughter had the Pollo Marsala and the sight of it made mw wish I could have ordered 2 entrees. We finished off with cannolis, chocolate lava cake and cheesecake for desert. All 3 were as good as we have had anywhere. Sayda's service was professional as it has always been on previous visits from all the wait staff and the view of the setting sun over the sound was lovely as always. All this wonderful food and service comes at a price. This is an upscale restaurant and pricing is comparable to similar restaurants downtown or on Ruston Way in Tacoma. Our grandsons ordered adult entrees and we had a bottle of merlot so the total bill was $375 plus 20% tip (required by the restaurant for parties of 6 or more) and tax for a total of $496.56 or about $83 a head. The bill included $45.96 tax and I could not understand why it was not 10% of the food or $37.50. I checked with the state of WA and found that gratuities that are not optional must include sales tax. In essence, the gratuity is treated in the same way as if the restaurant had raised prices 20%. While I disagree with this policy I see that the restaurant had no choice under the law. What they do have a choice on is making the gratuity optional. I find this policy deceptive. They forced us to pay a 22% tip including the tax. I will not return again with a party bigger than 5.

Chicken Parm was good but y'all's tortellini dishes need some WORK fr. Stay trill though. 5 stars.
I had the clams.
One of the best clam dishes I've ever ordered. Broth was really good. Wine + lemon + garlic + chili flakes + herby bits! Really flavorful, clams were perfectly done; no broken shells or unopened clams, meat was tender! Came with a lil freshly baked bread that had great chew and a whipped garlic butter! So good...

We went out to dinner at our good friends, favorite local restaurant. Definitely worth a try, if you've never been. From the beginning, the service from Tommy was amazing. He's not only the server, he is a performer, describing each item on the menu, thoroughly describing the specials, and all aspects of the preparation. The ambience in this place, is excellent. Very traditional, neighborhood, comfort food, excellent vibe! We each tried something different, I had the chicken parmigiana, my wife had sea scallops in a bed of arugula with a bacon or fig jam. Our friends had the vegetarian puttanesca and one of the evening specials, short ribs. Check out the photos! The only one I missed, was the short ribs, as my friend dug in immediately and started destroying them. He couldn't wait any longer. Taste, seasoning, preparation was excellent. I could only eat half of the chicken parmigiana. It was a lot! We also had some of the Italian red wine, I believe it was a Chianti. It was recommended by Tommy, and it was very good. It was a very modest price red wine. Looking forward to visiting again, SOON!
We went to Verrazano's for a team dinner.
First off, our waiter was spectacular. He was full of energy and we were all joking with him that we need to hire him. He was absolutely spectacular. We ordered may hors d'oeuvres and all were very tasty and plates were becoming empty. The main dishes came and everything was 100% on point. The salads and soups were great. The beef medallions was fantastic. The seasoning and flavor was perfect. Our experience was so good, a friend of mine and I wanted to go to dinner and we were looking for things and we just said, lets just go to where we know the food is terrific. So, two nights in a row. Great food and service. I highly recommend trying Verrazano's once. It may not be the cheapest around, but the quality of the food and service was awesome! Lastly, if you are lucky, you will get a sunset like we did during dinner. It looks like a painting is it so stunning.

Checked into Verrazanos and my last review was exactly a year ago. Think my fiancé and I have made a new tradition. Verrazanos for Christmas Eve dinner....plus many other nights throughout the year. Thank you to everyone working on Christmas Eve. Not once did I feel we were a nuisance and the service was, as always, warm and welcoming. Ordered the Tortellini Alla Caruso despite me typically ordering the Chicken Parmesan. Very flavorful and was happy with my choice. I regret eating all of it because I now don't have any leftovers. Merry Christmas Verrazanos.
