Food is great, but they don't seem to care about open table reservations, even if you show them where you made them, which was really frustrating. Service is inconsistent.

Seated promptly. It was a busy night. Felt a little rushed after each course. The chef wasn't the friendliest. Cocktails & wine were pricey.

Unfortunately, at the end of our meal the waiter came to put our food in to go containers and as he does so a COCKROACH comes from under my plate. Was very appalling especially since it was AFTER the meal. I am under the impression that the ROACH was stuck under my plate the entire time. The waiter notified the manager and the manager did absolutely nothing to accommodate to my meal. He did not bother to come out and speak to us directly with no apologies whatsoever, he told the waiter "if we need any accommodation or wanted to speak to management to let the waiter know". Very very poor service on managements behalf, who wouldn't want to speak to management after this experience? I spent the rest of my night very uncomfortable trying to keep my food down as I am 7 1/2 months pregnant. This will be the last time we go to this location. Save your time and money and go to Tyrone location as it is much more cleaner.

I am only giving a one star for this establishment because I don't have the option to leave zero stars. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from this location and the manager paul. I placed an order through a "third party" aka uber eats and my order was incorrect. I was missing items that I paid for. When I called to speak to someone at kobe's I was placed on hold for several minutes then eventually connected with the manager paul. I explained the situation and all he could offer me was to investigate the order and call me back which I wasn't holding my breath for. He explained the process for how they package orders through uber eats/doordash. He said both the restaurant and the delivery driver are supposed to check the order before the bag is sealed and on its way to the customer. If that was accurate I am not sure how my order was incomplete. He proceeded to push the blame onto my uber eats driver that delivered my order. I then chose to drive to this location to get the missing items and ask for a better explanation. I originally spoke to the young lady at the to-go counter and she was happy to give me the missing items. However I did ask her to explain the policy for when it comes to uber eats drivers picking up orders and what she told me was not accurate with what the manager had explained over the phone. As I waited for a separate order I decided to place, I witnessed first hand the process of a delivery driver picking up an order and he never was asked to check the contents of the bag before the kobe's employee sealed the bag. So again it did not match what the manager had explained to me over the phone. At this point I asked to speak to paul and he was rude and borderline argumentative. He continued to put the blame on the ubers eats driver instead of taking care of the customer in front of him. After this entire ordeal I returned home to my cold meal and looked through the additional order I picked up and that order was also missing an item. Absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. THIS LOCATION HAS LOST A FREQUENT CUSTOMER.

Their hibachi is excellent.
Their chefs are engaging and do a wonderful job. We eat there frequently, and have never had a bad experience. Wonderful place to eat, with relaxing atmosphere outside & inside.
Horrible service.
They pack them in take your order and you never see the waiter again. 18% gratuity is automatically added to the check so there's no incentive for there to be good service.

Absolutely fantastic dinner experience here! The unique part about Kobe's is not only a show and a meal, but interacting with the chef and your table. It's very loud environment inside which we expected. But if you're bringing infants, it's something to consider. We did not expect much from the drinks we ordered but we had the best old fashion ever! It had some type of spice that made it smell incredible, we could not stop talking about it!
Convenience Fee???
No complaints with waitstaff….dinner prices very expensive. Receive the bill thinking gratuity would be added on because we were a party of 10, but no…was told there is a “convenience fee” on there & we could add the tip on top of that. You’re looking at a 33% tip when all said & done. We won’t go back. Establishment needs to stop being GREEDY, you’ve CF is in your food prices.

Let me just say I'm upset I forgot to take a picture of my food! But I did get a picture of my man's . First and foremost, we arrived around 9 pm with 8 people and their listing showed they close at 9:30 pm. Now I hate being that customer that comes before a restaurant closes but we're from out of town and my family hadn't eaten yet. My nephews wanted teppanyaki (sp?) as well and this was the closest one from where we were staying. They were so accommodating and nice. We waited for them to get a table ready so we went to the bar and had some hot mango sake. I prefer sake hot so it was a hit. The mango syrup was all at the bottom (not mixed in well) so I would have rather do without that. We also had some Moscato which was so good and the right amount of sweet. Our cook Pedro was absolutely amazing. He was entertaining and funny. I'd definitely give him a 10/10 for his service. Now for the food.. I had scallops and shrimp and the scallops were a bit overcooked. They served fried rice and noodles which was a really good combination because most places only serve one or the other. I also had some zucchini and they were probably the best I've had. I do like them a bit charred which they were! My man had land and sea combo which was steak, shrimp and lobster. He stated his food was cooked perfectly. The food could have had a bit more flavor or seasoning but I think it was overall a good experience. If you're in town, ask for Pedro. I promise he won't disappoint.

Great entertainment and tasty food
My family, especially my young grands, love dining at Kobe. This time I took 8 of us to celebrate my oldest granddaughter visiting from CA. We each loved the demonstration by Pedro. The onion volcano always a scary hit. My favorite is the fried rice. The 4 yo thinks they fry the eggs just for her, so we order one for her. The 9 yo devours the youth steak and all the fixings. The teriyaki chicken is a favorite that we adults had with either shrimp or steak. One had 2 orders of sushi. She’s from CA so said it wasn’t that good - the tuna seemed spongy. One thing is they serve so much food that we each had take home containers. Yum. The drawback is the sound. It’s just too too loud in there to carry on conversation which means we feel like we race through dinner and have to reconvene just to chat. Love the fish and that my grandson could feed them (food provided). It’s our go to place for a fun evening with tasty food and a show.
Here's the thing...
The good: We had a great server, Monica, and a masterful cook, Rocky. We enjoyed their playful but not patronizing personalities. Friends and I all ordered the filet and shrimp combo; that filet was perfectly cooked medium. All of the food - from the soup/salad to the rice, veggies, noodles, and meats were delicious hot off the grill. Plenty of leftovers to take home. At this point, my rating for Kobe would be 5 stars. The bad: When the check came, a 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill. I had no problem with this, as that is a customary charge for tips for large groups. My rating would still have been a 5. However, Monica explained that the 18% charge goes to the restaurant staff and any additional tip goes to her and Rocky. We received excellent service from them. How could I not tip in the moment? But really dudes, just increase your menu prices to cover your employee overhead and leave the tipping for the servers. Tipping 38% of a bill is a hard pill to swallow.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
