Food is fine, but I mobile ordered pickup for first bake so I could grab it on my way into work, and it said it would be ready at 9:10 and I received it at9:40
Great restaurant, great service and amazing food
Fantastic service and an amazing waiter. All our dishes were great. Good value and very tasty. Kids cleaned their plates and wanted more!
Came here upon a recommendation from a local.
This restaurant Is off from the main area in Georgetown down by the riverfront. It's a cute restaurant with fun decor. It's spacious and welcoming. We were greeted immediately and escorted to our table. The waitress was so friendly. The restaurant wasn't packed but it took a good amount of time to get our food. That's when you know it's good. I ordered the spinach and tomato eggs Benedict. This was hands down the BEST eggs Benedict I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly, every ingredient was fresh. The flavor was incredible. I devoured it in no time. My friend ordered biscuits and I tried them. Wow! So good! When in Georgetown I'll be back!!!

We were excited for the bottomless brunch, but it became clear that a table of two women was invisible. Our waiter would walk by our table several times to service the table next to us while our waters were empty. We'd try to get his attention and he wouldn't even glance our way. I sat with dirty plates next to me because he didn't come take them. It's a buffet - beverages and dirty plates are kind of his main thing? And we were told that staff would come around with fried shrimp or sushi / but not once did someone us anything. He'd go to the big table next to us and then wander away without looking our way. Food was good but not good enough to overcome the service, especially at the price.
Stoped by for a quick lunch between the water taxi rides.
The ambiance was great, right outside near the fountains. The hostess was accommodating and seated us at the first row of tables outside. The menu is diverse and there is something for everyone. We ordered the margarita pizza, excited to try the special crust with the 72h proofed dough. The salmon sushi rolls and the small Drag through the garden salad. Food was ok. The pizza had a pretty bad soggy bottom for the most part and it was hard to eat, the tomato sauce was very tasty. The sushi rolls had mayonnaise on the bottom which was absolutely unnecessary. The small salad was very tasty although inconsistent in quality - the 1 rib of lettuce was chopped very inconsistently- some very small some very large pieces. And most of the ribs had brown spots, those should h e been thrown away and not served.
Recently stopped by for breakfast to see if they would
Recently stopped by for breakfast to see if they would redeem themselves from my last visit, which was terrible. Well, they definitely redeemed themselves with this delicious breakfast. Note however, that I removed 1 star because the biscuit was dry and salty. I mentioned this to my waiter and later ordered the Apple walnut bread, which was STELLAR! I wished that they packaged this bread and sold it because I would be first in line to purchase it lol. Summer in DC is always a dream and summer nearby the water with great views and good food is an added plus. This place offers just that! A beautiful view of the Georgetown waterfront, fresh air, and great eats. Compliments to the chef for preparing what I would say were the best egg whites I've had. Paired with a juicy and well done chicken apple sausage, along with a tasty hash brown-I was in Heaven! Aside from the dry biscuit, my only other complaint was that my waiter did not check up on me until the end, to which he apologized and explained that he was working busy tables indoors as well. Totally appreciated that. Overall, I would return for lunch and take advantage of the outdoor seating again because it was simply beautiful. What I would push for is to have a waiter that can manage heavy workloads without making guests feel deserted. I mean, nobody likes waiting so long for a refill or table needs that you ended up not ordering it. But nonetheless, I love that this place seems to be picking up itself from a few bad encounters.

While not a hidden gem, Founding Farmers lives up to the hype. Came here with the family while on vacation in DC. Everything is made from scratch, including sodas, which were great. We had the garlic knots, and tuna tartare to start. Both were fantastic. There is no kids menu, but our kids got a small pizza, which they liked. What the Cobb salad with crab meat, the crab meat was fresh and delicious. Everyone else got seafood and liked it. For dinner I got a key lime pie, maybe the best I've ever had!

The spicy tuna poke was more sour than spicy, and definitely had a smaller portion for the size. Truthfully I was a little disappointed with the pricing. However, I'm very grateful to the service staff for handling my large group with ease.
Every time I visit DC, I make it a point to go to Farmers
Every time I visit DC, I make it a point to go to Farmers Fishers Bakers. We visited Farmers Fishers Bakers for dinner Friday evening. The staff was incredibly flexible and helpful, and they not only moved our reservation by an hour but also switched us to outside. We were served by Abel (spelling?) and he made our experience smooth and seamless with a friendly demeanor and excellent service that was perfectly timed. The best service I've had in DC. We enjoyed two fried seafood dinners, which were fresh and delightful. The blackened catfish was perfectly seasoned and delicious. Finally, the Hot Honey Fried Chicken was perfectly cooked, curated and presented. Delicious! Our dining experience outside was beautiful, and it really felt like the whole team understood every need of the guests, with heaters keeping us warm externally and mixed drinks warming our bellies. It became really busy when we finished our meal, but the patio had less people and was calming.

We had a great Easter Brunch(get the waffles or French toast!) While sightseeing for spring break. As a matter of fact we went back a second time for lunch later on that week. Not because DC hasn't any good choices, because they do....we just enjoyed our brunch, service and vibe so much that we wanted to try it again. Our Air bnb host recommended this restaurant to us. We were very happy here.

Great venue, Super Great Service and Excellent food!!! It was a Fri. eve. and jam full, yet the servers were prompt, polite, attentive. They checked several times at the table to see if we had any needs. I had ordered a non alcoholic specialty drink and took a couple of sips and just didn't care for it. I ordered a coke and mentioned I just didn't care for the drink. The manager came to our table to ask what I didn't care for in the drink and was happy to comp us!
Lackluster in every respect
We went for a weekend brunch and were underwhelmed. We were seated over 30 minutes late, the buffet was generally not stocked, and the flavor was disappointing. I didn't know, for instance, that it was possible to make bad carrot cake, but Founding Farmers has done it. After nearly 30 minutes of waiting and being told it would be right out, we were told that the bruleed grapefruit were "done for today" (1.5 hours before the end of brunch service). Despite focusing on comfort food, most of their food was bland and unappetizing. The tableside service was extremely slow; the cinnamon rolls took about 45 minutes to arrive. Our waiter was attentive and apologetic, but the other staff and kitchen all seemed overwhelmed.
Best Brunch in DC/Georgetown
Farmers Fishers Bakers is one of my all-time favorite restaurants. However, this last experience with them was over the top. I had family in from New York and Miami and Jessey, the service manager was amazing. She made sure that the kids were able to eat and go ice-skating and the adults were able to stay behind and enjoy their food without long waits a break in service or any other type of stress. This is a manager and a restaurant that knows how to serve clients. Thank you Jessey for making our New Year’s Eve a wonderful experience with family up and down the East Coast!
Lackluster. The place is not what it use to be.
Lackluster. Food average at best. The over 100 reviews already that are poor or below is telling We ordered breakfast on menu. 20 min after ordering the manager came over to tell us the cereal bowl item was not available. The staff seemed lazy and apathetic. The person in our party does not eat dairy. They offered little options. The restaurant has lost its touch. Did not refill coffee or ask.
A big disappointment
This restaurant was a big disappointment. They didn’t have the turkey BLT my sister ordered so she had a Reuben instead. The meat was poor quality and even the bread had little taste. The end of the pastrami was included in the sandwich - not good - and her drink never arrived. The vegan/vegetarian dishes had small portions that we would describe as ok but we could make better at home. Battered chicken and fish and chips had the same batter, which was spicy for children. A child’s menu would be a good addition. All of the above wasn’t cheap, which made it feel worse. The great location didn’t compensate for the disappointing food.
Great location
Excellent location and food. Our server Jacy was awesome! Went on a Saturday night and wait wasn’t long at all. Sits on the water and has amazing views!
Great Choice for Modern American Food in Georgetown
This is a really solid choice if you find yourself in Georgetown. We had a nice lunch from the menu. My Fizzy Lime Ricky was good and tart. Nephew enjoyed a good cider with a pucker punch. Husband had a straight up but pleasing Vodka Martini. The Crab and Artichoke Dip with homemade bread was and excellent starter that is plenty for three people. Steak and Enchiladas is a really good entrée if you are hungry. A perfectly prepared skirt steak with chimichurri topping. (Really loved the surprisingly tender and well-seasoned steak) The enchiladas of spinach, cheese, and chicken were also good, but it is a lot when you put it altogether. This was a class A entrée choice. Nephew had chicken fingers which were way better than average. We liked our server a lot. She was upbeat and gave honest suggestions based on our preferences. Afterwards we enjoyed the waterfront views just across the grand plaza, followed by a 2.5 mile walk through Georgetown before picking up the Bus 31 to head back to our hotel in Foggy Bottom. This was the perfect place to begin a good afternoon in Georgetown.
AMAZING BRUNCH EXPERIENCE!!!
FF & B has become my go to location for weekend brunch in DC. Their brunch buffet is totally AMAZING! So many wonderful items to choose from, and the price is very reasonable, considering they're in Georgetown. I've been twice since June, and both visits were awesome. Charlise is a wonderful server. She remembered us from when we visited back in June. She is so sweet and very entertaining. The Manager on Duty, Ed was very cordial and informational as well. Of course you can't beat the location, with it being right on the Georgetown waterfront!
Great experience
On October 14, myself and a few friends decided to visit Farmers Fishers Bakers in Georgetown for a quick bite and drink. The atmosphere was nice and quiet due to the heavy rain. This didn’t spot us from getting great service. Upon arrival, we asked for Charlise who is extremely knowledgeable about the brand and consistently provides a high level experience. She recommended the Maple Bourbon Smash. This was a great spin to a bourbon drink. It was sweet but not too sweet yet strong and to the point. The others in my group enjoyed the seasonal pineapple mint soda which is also a in-house drink. We then enjoyed the Farmers Pressed Old Bay Crab Sushi. This is always a hit, I’m becoming a regular and this is a must. During my visit, we were also greeted by the manager who was walking around the restaurant. She was very personable, and checked in to make sure everything was going well. I believe her name was Jessy. This place is truly amazing.
Pricey but good
Delicious but pricey. $130 for a brunch buffet is excessive, even if it is “bottomless.” My family of four couldn’t eat enough to justify the price.
