Me and my husband choose this restaurant for date night and it did not disappoint. The food and customer service was A1. This is a place we will definitely come back to. The manager Pillar checked on us frequently. They all made us feel special. Thank you all so much for a wonderful experience.
tasteless
I stay at Princess 2-3 times a year and loved Bourbon steak but on my most recent stay 3-8-24 something changed. They used to have the best charred/grilled oysters with red miso butter and was soo looking forward to them and they were horrible tasteless , and soo small like pea size. I tried their signature chicken but again tasteless. chicken was cooked nicely but..... I kept going back 3 nights in a row but it never got better. According to Manager chefs have been there for 5 years. What happened i'm not sure but want them to go back to being awesome

I'm actually not a steak eater, but came with a larger party for a birthday. The whole experience was great and they had plenty of other excellent choices for a non read meat eater. The vibe was great. Drinks were great. The rest of our party raved about the steaks. I ordered several different apps that were all excellent.
Awful
Worst expensive dinner ever. Salads were ok Rare steak was over cooked and dried out. I ordered the Maine lobster pot pie. Left 3 pieces of lobster to take home. Sent the crust and shells in a doggy bag. Manager essentially said I was lying!! For $500 go somewhere else! Never have complained and been treated this badly. Unfortunately we love this resort but won’t be back!!
We ordered a steak medium rare.
It came very well done and dried out. On our waiter's recommendation I ordered the Maine lobster pot pie. It was pretty underwhelming. I left 3 pieces of lobster meat to take home. They sent the shells and crust. Save your $500 and go elsewhere!
Our waiter was terrific.
Love how the wait staff work as a team. Food delicious. A bit pricey overall.
Amazing Experience
Decided to have dinner at the bar on my own after meetings at the hotel. From the start the experience was top notch. Great opening cocktail, amazingly tasty complimentary duck fat fries trio to start, and a superb main course of Wagyu flat iron steak (medium rare to perfection). All the while guided to the best wine pairing by Alicia. Can’t wait to come back.
Don't book here.
If you try and cancel less than three days they want to charge you 50% of what they think the average bill of your party is. Who is say what that is. Rip off.
Wonderful evening with friends .
We had amazing service and spectacular drinks & food. From the poached shrimp, tuna tartare & wedge salad for appetizers to filets & lobster pot pies everything was delicious. Thank you for a memorable evening .
A fine steakhouse dining experience in Scottsdale.
Had the Chef's Selection of nice meaty oysters and a few sides with a perfectly prepared and presented American Wagyu Filet Mignon Steak. It's been the best steak in my recent memory.

We got one steak that was (very slightly) undercooked for my date's tastes (I prefer mine as close to raw as possible), and the team was OUTSTANDING. They cooked a new Filet, the manager stopped by to bring a soup taster, wine pairing, offered more Apps, etc. It was a Perfect dinner. Kudos to the staff for working Xmas Eve and showing up professionally. I will be back
Christmas dinner was amazing here at Bourbon steak.
I ordered the ribeye it was delicious just to say the least. All of the sides were great that we ordered. The cocktails were very good our servant Keaton was amazing and with the extra bio for every little detailed items that we asked for, it is located right in the lobby of the princess hotel so all the festive lights and groundwork and everything was really beautiful. I am absolutely going back to this restaurant on a regular basis because everything was excellent. The servers everybody was wonderful, very friendly, and very helpful. Location 5/5 Food 5/5 Food Quality 5/5 Service 5/5 Parking 5/5 Atmosphere 5/5 Management 5/5
We went to Bourbon Steak for our daughter's birthday.
We have been here before and enjoyed our experience 2 years ago. I ordered the lobster pot pie. It was to have a pound and a half of lobster. It was at the most 1/2 pound. The vegetables were supposed to be mushrooms, onions and potatoes in there too. I got 4 potatoes (fingerlings), 1/2 a small onion and no mushrooms. It was mostly the gravy. That was it. It wasn't even close to what I've had here before. The server said it would feed the three of us. My daughter and husband both ordered steak. We were going to order 2 sides. The server said one side was plenty. We ordered cream spinach. It looked like one serving. My daughter asked 4 times for horseradish sauce with her steak and never got it. The main server never checked on how we were enjoying our meal. He asked us if we wanted dessert which was good. I got served what was supposed to be hot tea through out the meal. It was always lukewarm which cooled very quickly. The ambiance was great. The service was definitely not. The food was subpar. Very disappointed in this experience especially at a 5 star restaurant.
Fantastic Staff, Everyone was professional and fun.
Lets be real there are so many places in the area that serve up a good steak. The staff at this place is what sets them apart. Yes the food was amazing. The Rib eye was perfectly prepared. Chilled shrimp 5/5 Wedge Salad 5/5 Rib eye 5/5 . Decor 5/5 . All around fantastic birthday dinner for my wife.
Food was really good.
Service was outstanding. Ambiance was cool. I live in Chicago. We have our share of good steak houses. Few have this good service. Will come back.
What a beautiful restaurant in one of the most beautiful
What a beautiful restaurant in one of the most beautiful hotels. The good snd service was so great. The side orders are exceptional. Steak is sooo good. Highly recommend. The chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream with hard shell top was the best i have ever had

This establishment is as pricey as any other steakhouse, but the service was slow. I was seated, and viewed the cookbook to keep me busy for 20 minutes after I received my water... the chef complimentary fried prawn on sour cream and chives was a treat. The steak was seasoned well, I didn't need to add anything to it. The Mac n cheese were tiny elbows, the garlic n truffle flavors were delicious!
If you are looking for a high end steakhouse that is
If you are looking for a high end steakhouse that is unbelievably overpriced for inferior food. This is the place for you! Wow. Run. Go to Dominick's steakhouse. This place is so beyond overrated. My steak was WORSE than sizzler. Really! Sorry, but wtf? As another reviewer stated. Should have burned the 500$ at the valet! I want to take back the star !
I am a local resident and we have enjoyed Bourbon Steak
I am a local resident and we have enjoyed Bourbon Steak twice now. What an amazing place to enjoy a 5 star dining experience. The atmosphere is unique, especially when entering directly into the restaurant with all the wine bottles on both sides of the entryway. Makes for a great photo opp! We are always greeted by the hostess in a prompt fashion. The bar is so colorful with the varietals offered. Our server has always been knowledgeable of the menu and has great ideas of what drink to pair the meal with. We have had the honor of meeting Andrew, the manager, and he always makes sure we have everything we need. From beginning to end, our dining experience has created awesome memories. Thank you to everyone at Bourbon Steak!

It was Christmas Eve, I expected it to be busy but our table reminded me of McDonald's. Stuck in a little corner with not a enough room for a glass of water and a drink if there's an appetizer in front of you. It was a set menu, $130 a person. I am sitting here wondering how two meals and two drinks came to $480. The service was good, I would not go back for the food, and the ambience, well let's start with the table. It was a bench seat so when the people at the next table 2 feet away from us got up for the bathroom and came back the whole seat was bouncing up and down, and they weren't big people. Music was so loud we couldn't hear each other speak. Next time we stay at princess we will Uber out to Steak 44. At least you get what you pay for there and their meat is tasty.
Save your money; it's not worth it.
I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was so horrible I had to share it with other potential patrons because something needs to be said and hopefully fixed. So here goes...My parents live in the Phoenix area and wanted to plan something special for Christmas and to celebrate their 57th wedding anniversary. They got a reservation for Monday the 19th, and we were all looking forward to this place since my wife and I were arriving from the midwest. We know steakhouses and five-star experiences. This was barely a star. A dying star. Now, we are not idiots, and we are not cheap. I happen to know several restaurant critics from the LA Times to New York, USA Today, and much more. We know good wine, and we know good food. Often times I share my experiences over coffee with my critic friends to help with potential reviews and story ideas. And this one was...in the simplest way, HORRIBLE!For starters, there is no need to have bad 90's techno music blaring throughout the restaurant. Save that for the hotel lobby or the bar. This was unacceptable; we couldn't even have a conversation or even hear the waiter, who didn't even seem like he wanted to be there and presented himself rudely after I kindly asked for it to be turned down so we could hear about the menu and wine. They never touched the volume. The sommelier deserves to be fired, bar none. I have never had a worse experience, and I was embarrassed for him and my family. For starters, all the wine was ridiculously overpriced. And it took over an hour and a half to settle with a mediocre bottle of Duck Horn. In all honesty, we wanted two other very expensive Merlots, but they were not available. I seriously doubt his wine knowledge because what type of place has a 53-page wine list but doesn't know what they have on hand? Worse, what type of place doesn't recommend a comparable wine instead of a simple grocery version? We actually joked about how my wife could've driven to BevMo, bought a bottle of Duck Horn, returned, and had it opened in the time that it took for the sommelier to figure out what he had. And the place wasn't busy, at all.The chef deserves to be fired as well. Rubbery cold steaks, with dull steak knives, greeted us. Followed by mediocre sides at best. Cold, salty, soggy Brussel sprouts, soupy mushrooms, and a tasteless potato. Anyone with basic culinary skills could've created better sides with recipes off the internet. Honestly, the chef must have had the night off, and the sous chefs didn't care about what was going out of the kitchen. Even the chimichurri I ordered was weak.We all needed a few liters of water to deal with the tough cold meat and miserable sides. And quit trying to impress others with the water being served out of recycled milk bottles. That's so 90's shabby chic it's pathetic and dated. Be better.Due to the overall poor experience that basically ruined our evening, we wanted the whole nightmare to end and the kicker was when the server told us that he was contractually ordered to ask us if we wanted dessert. What kind of service is this? And my 75-year-old mother joked, asking, 'what planet are we on?'All of us couldn't wait to get the check, and we paid full price when we shouldn't have, but we wanted to be gone! It would have been easier to stand at the valet and light $500 on fire.So disappointed as this place completely failed our expectations on so many levels. I would not recommend and will never return.
Just don't do it.

Absolutely Devine experience!!! The food and drinks were a 10/10. Everything blew my socks off. My Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The drinks and wine were perfectly paired by suggestion from our server Devon! Also the general manager Andrew said hello to us with a extremely warm welcome. Will 100% be back and bring my friends!! Third time there and each time is just better and better

Highly Recommend ANY of their steaks.
Upscale ad probably caters to business expense accounts
If I didn't have a Groupon, we never would have afforded dinner at this spot. It was absolutely lovely and our waiter was very accommodating and knew I didn't want to go over our allotted amount for dinner so he made good suggestions. We shared a salad that was lovely ($17) and each had a steak which was cooked to our perfection ($48 and $67) and I was glad the waiter told us that the sides were sharable as we got the mashed potatoes french style ($14) and some onions with balsamic ($14) that went perfectly with our meal. Hubby had a spicy crust added to his steak ($9) and we each had a delicious dessert ($14) each. We watched tables over tableside smoked old fashioneds ($95 per drink) and could tell they didn't know each other well so we assumed business dinner. You could really rack up a bill pretty quickly if you add alcohol and go into the more expensive cuts of meat.
An absolute joke!
Are you sitting comfortably? Then I shall begin….. We have been staying in Scottsdale for the past week with my in laws who have been coming here for the past 20 years and therefore have visited many of the restaurants in the area but until last night never this one. We were all really looking forward to this! We were shown to our table and the first red flag was the TV screens in the restaurant showing the football. This is not acceptable in such a ‘high class restaurant’. We agree with other reviews that the wine list was ridiculously overpriced. We eventually decided on a bottle of red that was brought out by the Sommelier. Well, I use that title in the loosest term. I seriously doubt his wine knowledge especially when we questioned the chilled temperature of the Rioja reserva that we tasted to be told that ‘all the wine is chilled at the same temperature!’ Because we were not prepared to pay hundreds of dollars for a mediocre bottle of Cune Rioja reserva, we decided to just have a glass of wine with our meal but with that we couldn’t have the wine that we wanted and ended up with very average/poor glass of red. When my husband was trying to explain what we liked he was basically told to stop talking. To cut a long story very short the Sommelier tried to sell us a way overpriced bottle of wine and then stormed off in a strop when we tried it and said that it wasn’t good enough. He was downright rude! Now for the food. My husband and I both had the filet mignon which was lovely and perfectly cooked. My father in law had the prime rib that was chewy and tasteless. We needed a few litres of water to counteract the saltiness of the Brussel sprout side dish! Due to the overall poor experience that basically ruined our evening we were not happy to accept the full bill. Fair dues to the restaurant that we had 50% taken off our bill. When preparing to leave my husband noticed a guy (obviously a member of staff) watching us and politely wished him a good evening. He didn’t respond and just stood there. Again, just rude! But then it’s gets better. When questioned by my husband he said, and I quote ‘ I don’t need to say anything to you’ and basically frogmarched him out of the restaurant. Unbelievable! In all fairness the front of house guy ( the one who spent time in the UK playing tennis) and our waiter ( the one with the infectious laugh!) were both great. So disappointed as this place completely failed our expectations on so many levels. Would not recommend and will never return.
Excellent!! Milan was our waiter and he was outstanding!!!
