A Thai culinary journey
YhingThai Restaurant offers a captivating journey into the world of Thai cuisine. With its diverse menu, authentic flavors, and warm ambiance, it is a must-visit for Thai food enthusiasts. From the tantalizing soups to the aromatic stir-fries, each dish is crafted with care and expertise. While the portion sizes could be more generous, the overall experience is one that will leave you craving for more of YhingThai's delectable creations.
Be the first to ReplyNice enough Thai food but restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere.
As a Thai food lover I went for dinner on one of my nights in Singapore to "Yhingthai Palace". It was not busy and the restaurant lacked a little atmosphere in my opinion. The menu was via a scanned QR Code (as many are nowadays) and was quite extensive. I started with Poh Pia Thord (Spring Rolls) and then had the Kuay Teow Phad See Eu Mhoo (Rice Noodle fried with Pork). Both were good but I did not like the fact that my noodles were not at all spicy as there was some chilli powder on the side to mix in. Also the portion of noodles was not that big. So I did enjoy my meal, and the service was very good, but the previous night I ate at 'Sawdee Thai Cuisine' which is very close by and in my opinion was far better in the way of restaurant atmosphere and also quality and quantity of foor. Prices for the two restaurants were very similar also. My meal at Yhingthai Palace with a can of Coke Light was SG$42.75 including service and taxes.
Be the first to ReplySlow, indifferent service. OK Thai food
The service was very slow, about an hour after the order, the food arrived. The staffโs attitude was somewhere between indifferent to โwhy you are here to bother meโ. The food is decent, but nothing specular or worth mentioning especially if you have had plenty of Thai food before already. The only positive thing was the price, which was relative low by Singapore dining out standard (we paid S$60 per head for a pomelo salad, pad Thai, green curry, 3 bowls of Tom yum, 3 bowls or rice, abfew beer and a mango sticky rice.) Arrive early to order and set your expectation low you will be okay.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed diner
Highly disappointing meal at Yhingthai palace restaurant to celebrate a birthdayโฆ The food prices were expensive but the high prices could not at all justify the sub-standard quality and taste of the food we ate. I chose to go to Yhingthai palace restaurant because it was ranked as one of the top Thai food restaurants in Singapore according to a number of websites but I disagree and donโt think it deserves to be called one of the top Thai food places, their standard must have fallen drastically. We paid $95 for a deep fried grouper with 3 flavor chili sauce. Unfortunately, fish was so bland and very little chili sauce was given on its sides. Definitely not worth $95. The mixed veggies we ordered was also bland. I think the chef forgot to add salt/thai fish sauce/soya sauce to the dishes he cooked today. We literally had to ask for soya sauce and some garlic (which we would expect this basic Thai dish to have but it did not) to give the dish the flavour it was lacking. To make matters worst, customer service was terribleโฆ they were neither friendly nor welcoming. I commented to the staff on the poor tasting dishes but no effort was made for service recovery either. Would not recommend this restaurant to others because of my bad experience, though I do hope that they can improve on their cooking and customer service.
Be the first to ReplyBest Thai food we've ever had!
This place checks ALLLL the boxes. We went here for a date night, and it was so memorable. Great central location, relaxing atmosphere, helpful and attentive staff...and the food! We had the 5-course tasting menu; it included everything and anything Thai (and we've been to Thailand several times and this was AMAZING)! Honestly it was the perfect meal. I'm still dreaming about the fish! And the wine selection was legit. We look forward to bringing our parents when they come to visit in December. Thank you for a wonderful evening :)
Be the first to ReplyGood food but very poor service
Food was good especially the fish maw soup and pomelo salad, however the attitude of the manager and servers are so bad we will not returned
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Thai Food but No Diners
Chanced upon this restaurant and decided to try it out. Every single dish we had was fantastic, from the pomelo salad, stuffed chicken wing, tom yum soup, green curry, olive rice and the desserts! We had the restaurant almost exclusively to ourselves although it was quite a sad sight that there were no diners during lunch. Hope those who like Thai food can support.
Be the first to ReplyDecent Food, Abysmal Service.
Walking in, there is something special about this place. It invokes feelings of grandeur and should be the first step in a marvellous dining experience. Instead, I was barked at to get my temperature taken. Not a great start, but I can put it aside. Upon getting seated, there was a single QR code for the menu printed on a sheet of copy paper for a menu. The waitress remarked at me, saying that "this is fine dining ah, ah girl"; similar to a fashion that you'd talk down to a child.
Upon the arrival of the food, we were treated to very deep flavoured foods, and the food tasted alright. The curries were decent, the fried rice was balanced, but there was nothing worth a special mention.
However, were rudely told, condescendingly, to leave the restaurant at the end of our meal even though the entire place was empty.
Honestly, this whole experience was very sour. Regardless of how good your food is, or how nicely decorated it is, your first and last customer is a source of recommendations for your restaurant. None of us will dine there again with the attitudes presented to us this evening; not to mention it was impossible to get service as all the servers were just chatting away.
Perfect Combination of Food and Service
Located at the end of a row of shophouses, I have often walked past this restaurant and finally had the chance to dine in one evening.
The tables were appropriately kept distances apart from each other, given the present circumstances. My dinner companion and I were lucky to secure a reservation despite the last minute phone call to the restaurant. The menu boasts the usual Thai dishes we are all familiar with. We chose the Fresh Pomelo Salad as a starter followed by the Green Curry with Chicken and Kang Kong with Garlic. We ate them with Jasmine Rice. They were served quickly given that they are, I believe, easy to prepare. Dessert for me was the evergreen Red Ruby, so refreshing. All the dishes were well cooked and delicious.
The service rendered was excellent too, making it the perfect combination of food and service.
Bib Gourmand, but so unauthentic
Bib Gourmand, but so unauthentic Thai food in Singapore, watered down curries. Overly priced with small portions. How could it get a Michelin accolade???
Good Michelin Thai food in Spore
A fine Thai food restaurant in Spore central area, suitable for entertaining guests and family gatherings. Spacious environment with good privacy.
Excellent Thai food and fresh ingredients. Tasty and delicious. Lightly flavored. Do try the tom yum goong seafood soup, the deep fried pomfret and the stuff chicken wings. The pineapple rice didnt come in a tacky pineapple.
Ala carte and set menus available. For ala carte selections, each person is expected to spend approx US$50.
Excellent food! Portions, though, a bit small
Food wise - in terms of palates: excellent. Authentic Thai food, which you will not regret. I guess the only "issue" is that portions can be rather small, and there one can feel as if the meal was not enough.
Prices are not cheap, though, but quality food indeed.
Service is slightly above average.
Excellent Thai food. Delicious.
Excellent Thai food. Delicious.
The rice crackers served with minced chicken sauce were a nice change.
The clear tomyum soup packed a punch. Beware:)
The green curry was excellent. The red curry was good too.
The crabmeat fried rice was excellent. Not oily. Big chunks of crabmeat. Great taste.
The pad Thai was not strong in โwok heiโ but not oily. Tasty.
Good Thai food
Good Thai food in this restaurant mentioned in the Michelin Guide for Singapore.
I've been coming here for years. The food is always good and authentic! And now Chope makes it easier to make reservations there! :)
I've order the set menu and it's for four person. Quality of food always met our expectation however service side need to be more consistent.
