GOOD VIBE AT THE INK
Really good meal for an initial visit. The beef dumpling appetizer was especially tasty. Entrees we’re also excellent. Service was friendly and courteous.
Be the first to ReplyTrendy new asian fusion in Hudson River Valley area of NY
Spacious restaurant and bar with open kitchen featuring asian fusion cuisine. Dinner service late into the night. Reservations required. Nice views. Tasty food and good service. Prices seemed above LA or San Francisco comparables. A good choice if in this area of the city.

I start this review by saying overall we had a good (ish) visit to wild ink. Its got a great interior, great views, good staff, but, on my visit I was somewhat disappointed with the food, it was very average for the price tag. We shared some dim sum starters, these were fried not steamed, and were essentially deep fried balls of crispy thick batter with a little savoury filling, and were just about OK. I had the "golden chicken" main. For $37 i expected more than a chicken breast smeared in a bit of sauce. As a side, I ordered the "roasted fingerling potatoes". These did not arrive with the main, i had to remind the waiter of the order, which i assume had been forgotten about as about 5 mins later some undercooked bland potatoes arrived, they were hard, and im not sure where the truffle coating/seasoning had gone. I told the waiter who then got the manager to come over, I told him I could make better chicken at home, and asked him to try the potatoes to see if that was how they were supposed to be, he declined and told me "well sir, that is your opinion" about them being undercooked and bland. They did offer me something else from the menu. The manager dealt with my complaint in a courteous manner, so i cant really ask more than that. But I cannot believe that the food i was served had been created to be like that. For balance, my wife's food was very good (Scallops), so maybe i just made a poor choice on the night. If you want an insta worthy place, then this is for you, if you also want good food to go with it, then choose wisely.

Fantastic gem of a find on the 5th floor of shopping centre overlooking Hudson River and The Vessel. Had the fixed lunch menu with crispy pork buns and red snapper - both fantastic and glad we chose this for our last lunch in NY.
Be the first to ReplyDecent with Room for Improvement
Despite several not so good reviews, this place was decent. The view was nice, the food was better than expected, vaccination status is checked and service wasn’t too bad. The menu is quite limited and the restaurant seems to struggle with opening on time particularly for dinner. We arrived 30 minutes early for a 5 pm reservation (the restaurant opens at 5pm for dinner) and we were seated around 5:15, after others that arrived 30 minutes after us. We never could figure out why there was a delay of opening with a good number of employees standing around. I’m not sure that I would visit on our next trip to NYC especially if we have a show to go to after dinner.
Be the first to ReplyDISREGARD FOR COVID
COVID AWARE - tried to cancel a reservation at Wild Ink because my husband was sick with what we hope is only a cold, but we don't know yet, and was charged $90 dollars. It is an incentive for sick people to share their germs and a complete disregard to the safety of other customers. Could not believe it when the reservationist told me we had to honor the reservation or pay the charge, sick or not! I am a frequent customer who up until now liked the restaurant.

Newish place on the top floor of the eating/shopping mall in Hudson yards. Great views of Hudson River sunsets so try to get a table with a view of that. Or else sit at the counter and watch the open kitchen at work.
I almost titled this Asian fusion but with items called black angus bavette or berkshire pork dumpling maybe just fusion is right. Mushroom steamed bun sounded interesting but was weird.
Most of the items were overspiced and over salted so the flavor was lost.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I made a 12:30 reservation and the restaurant decided to change my time to 1 and just inform me 30 minutes before my arrival. Who does that? It's pity you don't have enough customers dining there during lunch time, and might be struggling with lack of manpower. But don't make me part of your problem.

Be the first to ReplyWonderful brunch!
Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at Wild Ink. It is located in Hudson Yards in NYC and the restaurant overlooks the Hudson River. The food is delicious! The Berkshire Pork dumpling and the calamari were so tasty. The vibe is upscale, elegant and relaxed. The service was excellent. HIGHLY recommend!
Be the first to ReplyClimb new culinary heights at Wild Ink!
There are two works of art in Hudson Yard. One is The Vessel and the others is Wild Ink. What an amazing experience from a culinary perspective but also for the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Especially Kousonh who was our guide through the amazing menu. Climb The Vessel first and then let this restaurant take you new heights.

If you want a quiet dinner do not go there. Music os as loud as could be. Food is good, though. Waiters quite nice.

We had lunch here and it was absolutely AMAZING. I was worried when we walked in because it looked so pristine and expensive I didn't think we would be able to afford it. The seating was roomy and comfortable and there was an amazing view across the Hudon River. The staff were well presented and very attentive. The food was out of this world and really reasonably priced. TBE BEST DINING EXPERIENCE I HAD IN NEW YORK, thank you to all the staff.

Met friends for brunch and was very pleasantly impressed with the delicious food, ability of staff to accommodate allergies, while providing non-intrusive amazing service.
