We rarely venture out from our local takeout thai places, or our favorite Somtum Der, but wan wan really impressed us with all the dishes we ordered. Most of the group started with mocktails that are included in HH pricing til 7pm! (Sunday scaries.. ok??) We shared about 4 apps, 1 main, and 4 noodle/rice dishes between the 6 of us. and we were all full by the end. It seems like a lot, BUT the dishes are quite small!! Favorites of the night:- poh pia ped: duck springrolls, which were recommended by the restaurant. It only comes with 2, so I'd suggest ordering one more if you have a big group. I was happy with half, but wouldn't reject another half! They're quite plump and filled- yum hoi: tempura scallop salad. Very light and refreshing with a bit of a kick from the chiles. I believe there were only 3 scallops, so we had to share those- chu chee nua: braised short rib in a curry sauce. wow fall off the bone super tender beef- mee hoon ped: stir fried vermicelli noodles w/ duck. I loved the flavor of this noodle dish! Not many thai restaurants serve vermicelli noodles, but I'd definitely order this one again- pad kee mao: only comes with fried tofu as the protein, but you can add others. SUPER flavorful but a little on the salty side. This was an elevated version of pad kee mao I usually order and we were here for it! While all the food was delicious, the price point is quite high for the amount of food.. but more worth it if you come in a large group and can try different dishes!

We had Lobster noodle, shrimp fried rice and duck spring roll. The lobster was over cooked. Fried rice was mushy. The duck spring roll was tasty and the only thing that we liked.

Having been to Wayla, I had a pretty good idea of what the vibe might be here, but this spot actually surpassed my expectations. Food was incredible and perfectly spicy. Saw Chinese Thai fusion dishes that I've never heard of before too which is always exciting! Good atmosphere and decor as well. Because it's a newer restaurant, it was easy to snag a res, but I imagine that soon this place will be packed every night.

Not sure what the hype is for thai diner bc this place is way better and closeby! Creative flavorful dishes, good vibe, great /friendly service, boozy cocktails with thai ingredients
Be the first to ReplyFood was very good but service was lacking.
I did not get the dish that I ordered and the waitress insisted that I did.

A really beautiful interior with these beautiful shades of deep green and mauvey pinks to set the tone. Hats off to whoever was on aux as well, because their playlist was incredible. Just nice vibes all around. We had to start off with a Thai iced tea, I mean how you could not? It came poured over a heaping mound of crushed iced which I feel didn't do it a favor as it got watery and thin pretty quickly. The first third of the tea was pretty rich and flavorful though. Just gotta drink it fast, I guess! Or ask for less ice. The food also came out surprising quickly (probably within 10 minutes of ordering). For appetizers, we got the broccolini xo and the beef curry buns. The broccolini was DELICIOUS. I love me some good xo sauce, and their was homemade with all the right flavors and spicy profiles. When the broccoli was finished, I was literally eating the leftover sauce on its own because I couldn't stop. The beef curry buns, on the other hand, weren't very impressive. They really didn't have much flavor at all, and the beef was really dry. When I see curry as an ingredient, I'm expecting something thick, wet, and rich. These buns were the opposite. I'd skip this item. We also got this pot pie with massaman curry where the "pie crust" was roti. The roti was soooo good. Flaky on the outside and deliciously doughy underneath. Perfect for dipping into the curry. I would definitely order a side of rice though, because the roti will run out very quickly and you'll have nothing to eat the curry with. The curry itself was super flavorful, and the chicken was incredibly tender. Overall a wonderful dish--I would definitely order again! We also got these noodles with pork (so sorry, but I can't remember the name and none of the items on the website menu look the same LOL) but I really enjoyed it. It came with a side of soup which we kinda splashed onto the noodles, but we ate the noodles dry which I liked. The pork was also nice and tender and was marinated so well. I'd come back to try some of their other items for sure (and to chow down on some more broccolini)!
Be the first to ReplyGood vibeGood service.
The lobster Tom yum noodle comes with a whole lobster which I think is a bargain. All the dishes are yummy, fresh and with great food quality A great Thai food choice in soho
Be the first to ReplyFirst, a note: one of the drinks has Lemon Grass.
You can't eat lemon grass. Also, if you ask the waiter "can I eat that?" You'll look like an idiot.Second, another note: fried pork belly is different spare ribs, and doesn't taste good. Third, a final note: if you make the first two mistakes on a second date you'll look kinda dumb
Be the first to ReplyNot worth the time and expense.
I thought I would just try this place but I am not sure Nikita needs another expensive Thai place. Thai diner is sufficient and the food is very authentic. I would walk one block away and eat there instead.

found a new lunch spot in soho!!! So goodddd southern curry over rice is my favorite. So rich and spicy . Tom Yum noodle soup is very authentic as well. Well I love spicy when they hit the spot I definitely recommend. Service is always attentive and friendly. Now I found a new spot to hang in soho. Love WanWan

Enjoyed a meal with a friend here recently, where we sampled a couple small dishes and a noodle dish. The tofu had a sticky/gooey quality to it which was pretty cool, though I think the peanut sauce could have been a little more flavorful or maybe I just needed more of it in general. The ribs were really great, sitting in a delicious sauce, and actually fairly easy to eat, tender and not too many bones. The crispy pork belly was good but I was expecting bigger pieces. On the other hand, the small pieces allowed for more chili sauce to pork belly bite ratio which was worthwhile. Finally we had the noodles with roast chicken, which I was hesitant about since I rarely order chicken dishes at restaurants, but the chicken skin here was so crispy and good, and the rest of the flavors and vegetables in the noodles were quite good together. Overall pretty solid food, great service, and with no liquor license yet, the bill stays pretty low!
Be the first to ReplyIncredible.
This was really amazing -- we loved this about as much as we loved Wayla, which is a pretty huge compliment. First visit, we got the fried tofu, spare ribs, crab cakes, fried pork belly, tom yum lobster, and stir fried duck noodles. We loved every single bite. Among the apps, the crab cakes were my favorite (maybe the best crab cakes I've ever eaten), while my wife (very surprisingly) had the pork belly as her #1. The tofu would also be hard to skip, and we loved the spare ribs too, so we'd have some very hard decisions to make next time around. The entrees were both basically perfect, and while there were a bunch of others that looked great as well, I don't know how we'd skip either of these. I ate more of the duck and my wife ate more of the lobster, but we both loved each. We will definitely be back, and ideally with a bigger group so that we can explore more of the menu.

BIIIG fan of Wan Wan! Super creative shareable tasty dishes with friendly, helpful service. We got their chicken curry pot pie and prawn noodle dish at brunch along with Thai Iced Teas, and everything was delicious. They have different brunch and dinner menus so I'd definitely recommend trying them for both meals.
Be the first to ReplySuper duper delicious.
Complex, rich, deep flavors. The curry was kick-you-in-the-face spicy. Didn't have anything that I thought was less than a 10/10. I can't wait to return.

So glad we found this place, we were in the area and decided to walk in, the food is delicious, (you have to try the fried chicken skin and fried fitters) even the drinks were so good.Special thanks to Booky for the amazing service,
Be the first to ReplyReally cute place, with a great ambiance.
It's not a very large space, and had just the right ambient noise level to where it's lively but still easy to hold conversation. I got the Guay Tiew Kua Gai, which was delicious. The chicken was flavorful and tender, the wide noodles with fried egg were the perfect texture, and the baked kale was crispy and delicious. It came with a slightly sweet sriracha sauce which perfectly complemented the flavors. They also provide a condiment tray with their house chili oil, house chili vinegar, a red chili powder (maybe gochugaru?), and salt. I only ate the first 3. The house chili oil and the red chili powder were classic, and I was pleasantly surprised by the house chili vinegar which added a nice tang to your bite. My friends got the vegetarian Mee Hok Kien (remember to ask to remove the oyster sauce if you are vegetarian), which was a classic , as well as the Guay Tiew Tom Yum Lobster, which was fantastic. It had a good amount of lobster, and a good broth. The lobster dish portion was also huge, so we ended up taking ~half of it home.

New Thai spot alert! This spot opened up in Nolita a month ago and describes itself as an "old Phuket style restaurant where local Thai and immigrant Chinese cooking blend together". The music selection is the first thing that stood out to me, really sets the mood. For appetizers, I definitely recommend the crab cake, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. While the lobster noodles were good, the star of the show was the Mee Hok Kirk, wok fried yellow noodles with added shrimp. We ended the meal with a coconut rice pudding which was the cherry on top! I definitely suggest saving room for this particular dessert!Personally would skip the tofu and strips that we got as appetizers ;)Follow me on insta: mahsaeats
Be the first to ReplyReally tasty food in a nice environment.

Be the first to ReplyStop by this new place in my neighborhood.
It's a southern style Thai restaurant. Server said they are focusing on Phuket authentic food. Influence by Chinese and Indian culture. We just ordered some appetizers and no room for noodle . I'll definitely come back to try their lobster tomyum noodle and beef wagyu noodle . All the tapas plates / i can tell they made with care and great quality. They all delicious. The virgin drink are so refreshing. The service are very attentive, and friendly. I am so happy you guy open in the neighborhood. We definitely will become your new regular.

Came here literally opening week and have nothing but amazing things to say. The service was impeccable; we were only able to get a late-ish reservation so we were one of the last groups seated before closing but everyone was super polite and we did not feel rushed at all! There wasn't a liquor license yet as of our visit so we got mocktails (and might have run to the liquor store around the corner to get nips of Tito's to put in them very discreetly I am so sorry wan wan) but even without the vodka, the fizzy cucumber situation was DELICIOUS!We tried one of everything on the menu that did not contain beef/pork/chicken (and one person who does eat meat ordered the chicken skin and the spare ribs and said they were delicious) and I promise you cannot be steered wrong here.Honestly since we were a big group my only regret is that I did not get more bites of each dish. Will have to go back alone and have a few things to myself next time!
