Great experience and amazing staff!
We stayed at Hotel Saint which is the attached hotel, and had either breakfast, lunch, or dinner here on various occasions during our trip to London and I could not recommend it enough. Especially the hosts and wait staff, they are incredibly courteous, kind, and accommodating. Kishor, one of the staff, was our waiter on more than a few occasions, and he was one of the best! Incredibly kind, funny, and personable. 10/10!!!

We visited here for breakfast after staying on site at The Saint hotel. Greeted by friendly staff, service was good for a Monday morning. Fresh and well presented food. The breakfast wrap was really tasty. Would certainly visit here again.

Sree and Edmond are some of the loveliest people I’ve met made the best cocktails and had a great evening
Be the first to ReplyNice place
I had lunch with three other people. We enjoyed our food and drink and the service was fine too. They offer an all-day breakfast and also lots of lunch items. I had some excellent buttermilk pancakes, one friend had a very enjoyable full english, while my other friends enjoyed omelettes. Everyone was happy. The prices weren't bad given that we were on the edge of Central London. On the edge of the City. Also worth noting that this place is open 24 hours.

Amazing food, service and value. Eat here twice during the visit. Best spaghetti bolognese ever! Would highly recommend if in the area, not obvious from street but walk down the side of the Dorsett Hotel and you will find this gem

I came with my friend 2 Friday ago around 7 pm and we were accommodate by a lovely, really nice, lady with colorful hair that let us sit in one of the table at the end. Unfortunately we saw her leaving quite soon. After that we were trying to get the attention of someone for quite long time, and at the end one young guy, really polite, with reddish hair, told us that he will send someone soon to take our order. We saw one Indian guy, (probably the manager because he was dressed different), that he was standing in front of the screen doing nothing, only looking around. We were trying to get his attention but he completely ignored us. We called him, he saw us but he didn't come. We saw the young boy that he told him that we need to place our order but he didn't move. All the restaurant was empty. There were only other few tables in all the restaurant! We asked at least the young boy to took our drinks order, 2 cocktail. When finally he came at our table (at 7:25!!) he took our food order (in a really unprofessional and rude way, like someone else supposed to do this job) 2 starters and 2 mains, we asked to get starter first and main after (obvious thing to do) but, when we got our food (really fast), everything came together. We were served by the manager and the boy and when I explicit ask the reason why we got the food together and if we could eat the starter first the manager reply was "all the food is ready now. It's not possible to take it back". Unbelievable. Never again. If this is the way to run a restaurant. Good choice of management.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, friendly staff
We came back several times during our stay, for breakfast and dinner. the kids enjoyed the food and so did we. It is open 24/7. We especially liked the friendly staff who made us feel most welcome.
Be the first to ReplyTERRIBLE SERVICE
Bouncer was irrational and rude, ignored us completely. Disgusting service and horrible staff, waiting in the queue and refused service without reason.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic Breakfast
I and my boyfriend had breakfast here and the service was great, in particular the girl with the blue hair. We had a lovely English breakfast!
Be the first to ReplyGood restaurant in the city
Friendly staff, good coffee and very fast service. They provide with 24hour breakfast but it can be really busy early in the morning (7-9am).
Be the first to ReplyDisgusting place
Would never ever recommend this is the worst ever restaraunt , the manager mannish was disgusting. He was so rude and I would have sacked him if I owned the place, he doesn’t deserve a job and has 0 customer service. Please please fire him now !
Be the first to ReplyPre-made food with horrible service. Come here if you’d like to waste your money and have no one care.
Absolutely horrible and I don’t even know where to start. We stayed at the Dorsett City London and everything started well at check-in but turned for the worst while trying to order room service. I call room service using the “room service” pre dial button from the hotel room phone (see attached photo). The line was either busy or no one answered, so I had to keep trying for over ten minutes. A male finally answers and seems agitated— he explains that there is no room service but he will transfer me to the restaurant. A female restaurant worker answers and says I would need to come down and order/wait for food. This was extremely odd because this hotel is allegedly a “four star restaurant.” I have never been to any other hotel, let alone a four star hotel, that did not have room service, especially since I found out about “room service” from the hotel information on the TV (see photo attached). Anyway, I go downstairs and place an order from the menu that is on the “Dorsett City London” website (see attached photo). The lady looks at me funny and says they don’t have any of that food. A male then approaches and says the menu we were using was from another hotel. Thinking I made a mistake, I double check and it WAS from the same hotel/restaurant we were at. We end up ordering from the restaurant menu (higher pricing than online menu)— steak sandwich, burger, dirty fries, and two milk shakes. The food was ready in five minutes as we were told it would be. The food was mediocre at best— steak sandwich was over cooked and contained very little meat, burger ok but soggy, fries were old hard fries that were just loaded with toppings, and one shake was just liquid chocolate and definitely not a milkshake at all (the other was very watered down but had some ice cream in it). For what you pay at this restaurant, just go to a fast food place down the street— it’ll probably have better service and food. I don’t know a single restaurant that can have a steak sandwich/burger/fries ready in five minutes, which means VQ must have their food precooked and quickly put together. This was not four star quality at all. I end up calling down to the restaurant because the liquid shake was undrinkable. I let the male worker know the issue and he calls me a liar, and that he finds it very hard to believe. He tells me that I could not get a refund for the shake and have to come back down and get another shake. At this point I’m very upset at being called a liar over the phone and return downstairs just to show them the purely liquid drink that they called a “shake.” I was over this entire experience and just left the shake without getting a new one, or a refund. For background— I work in the customer service industry and have attended the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center Course for private businesses. THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT ANY CUSTOMER. It’s not right at any McDonald’s let alone a “four star” hotel. You don’t offer services on your hotel monitor/phone/advertisement that don’t exist, serve horrible food, call your customer a liar when he informs you about it, and then let said customer leave this upset. It’s honestly a joke in the customer service industry. I will never come back to this hotel and I’m not surprised it has so many 1-star reviews for lack of service. Very disappointed and in shock. I would give zero stars if I could.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service!
Visited VQ Aldgate a few times with friends. Service is always good- the waitress who has served us a couple of times is particularly friendly & attentive! I don’t recall her name but she has tattoos and I think she is Italian. Will be returning & would recommend 👍🏻

The staff are amazing and so kind, it’s reasonable pricing and the food was so nice. 10/10 100% recommended!!
Be the first to ReplyNice choice for early breakfast
Went during an early early Thursday morning, seated relatively quickly and ordered an English Breakfast with tea. Food was good, not spectacular, bacon slightly dry but the rest was good. Staff were in the middle of cleaning/balancing previous days takings so perhaps were not as attentive as they usually are.
It is 24 hours which is handy for out of normal hours eating, liked that the entire menu was available on offer as well
To be told they were short staffed but we were the only table seated!
Very disappointing.
Booked for our Christmas jolly. Mains came out with starters.
Service was rubbish, asked for the Manager who said they were short staffed. This was laughable as there were only two tables seated.
Nice venue but wouldn't recommend.
Food disappointing
Very medeacre food.
2 different menus - how they decide who gets which I don't know.
Staff arguing outside the restaurant.
Crusted over baked beans
Bacon that was so cooled it was hard.
Cold undercooked mushroom
Cold undercooked tomato
Asked for runny scrambled eggs - you could have used them for modelling clay
And half a breakfast muffin which they couldn't even be bothered to toast or provide butter for.
I will walk on by next time....
Let down by the food
I love the idea of a restaurant serving breakfasts all day (and night - this place is open 24 hours).
So, although I was there for lunch, I had the full english breakfast. Mostly, it was fine, EXCEPT
1. the 'toasted english muffin' was not toasted,
&
2. the cumberland sausage was completely tasteless, and had no texture. (I think it was a richmond sausage. English people reading this will know what I mean.)
Service was good. No complaints there.
The only other thing I'd say, is that the toilet arrangements are awkward. This restaurant is actually part of the ground floor of a hotel. To use the facilities, you need to go into the hotel part of the building and take the lift up to the first floor, and then wander about along corridors . . .
Discrimination
My friends and I visited this restaurant for the first time on the 23rd October 2021 to celebrate a birthday. One of the waiters who was a medium height middle aged man with glasses, was extremely rude. My friends and I being people of colour noticed the way he was treating us specifically.
For starters as we were waiting for our table, we politely asked him how long we have to wait, he proceeded to say “one second ladies” very aggressively”. Secondly as he was handing us our drinks he left out one of my friend’s order. We then politely asked him where her drink was, and he then made an effort to rush and get it after her waiting 5 minutes longer than us. As he handed it to her, he spilt some on her lap, which I felt was racially motivated and was done intentionally. He walked off without apologising which we then called him back to apologise. As he apologised he held her shoulder which looked extremely uncomfortable so I specifically told him to get his hands off her.
Across our table was a table of 3, who were continuously staring at my friends throughout the night which made us all uncomfortable. Almost as if they have never seen black people in their lives. That’s not even the last of it however I’ll end it here
My advice is if you’re a person of colour, please do be careful when dining in this restaurant. The service was bad.
A bit of a shambles
Went here for dinner with friends. The actual venue itself is impressive and funky and the menu is varied. Our waiter seemed inexperienced. But nevertheless he was charming and friendly. We ordered and our drinks were served promptly. However the food service was far from brilliant. Our waiter forgot to put one order in so only three dishes were served. One of which was stone cold and inedible. The last meal was served nearly 15 minutes after the first. We complained to our new waiter, Nico, who apologised for our poor service. We refused to pay the service of over £20 due to the poor service and food. However, I'd just like to compliment Nico on his handling of the situation which wasn't his fault. In an area where there's so much choice, I'm afraid to say I wouldn't return.
Be the first to ReplyAwful, Awful AWFUL, don’t waste your money
Not worth the money, service is shocking, you get your food before your drinks. They can’t even do simple tasks like getting you a glass of water without being asked more than once. Food is poor, could get the same in Wetherspoons for 1/4th of the price.
Everyone seems to just be too busy pretending to clean the tables and playing around with the knives and forks. Had to get up to tell them I was ready to order after being left for 30 minutes. Then had to get up to tell them I wanted the bill due to them being mostly huddled in one corner and not checking on the guests.
Both times we’ve been in there has only been breakfast time due to staying at the Dorsett Hotel. Couldn’t ever imagine how bad it would be to go out your way to have an evening meal there.
Great gluten free & vegetarian breakfast
Very good breakfast with a range of vegetarian and gluten free options! Particularly enjoyed the Veggie Breakfast, which comes with delicious wilted spinach. The omelette (as shown in the picture) was also very good. Would definitely recommend!
