This was some of the best food I've ever had.
The gnocchi was especially amazing and the risotto was a recommendation from our server that did not disappoint. I will come back here any time I'm in the city. Plus the decor was beautiful which made for a perfect place to sit and spend some time.

This place was so yummy! I will say it's also very happening as when we went it was busy. Make a reservation! The ambiance definitely had us feeling we were else where. I found this place ok tik tok and it didn't miss!

We came here for brunch on a rainy Saturday and loved this quaint Italian restaurant! Though it was empty when we were there, it picked up a bit by the time we left. The servers were wonderfully attentive and provided excellent service. They even gave us some bread to munch on while we waited for our food. We ordered bottomless mimosas, and each pitcher was enough for 4 to 5 drinks. For food, I went with the breakfast burger which came with a side of delicious fries. The burger had fun inclusions such as bacon and a sunny side egg. It was super filling and I was happy with my choice. My partner went with the prosciutto Benedict which came with a fresh side salad. Overall, loved our time here and would definitely come back again! I saw other reviews that describe how busy it is at night, so if you want to give it a try, come for brunch!
Be the first to ReplyGreat little spot for dinner and drinks.
Cocktails were excellent and pizza was fantastic. Atmosphere is cozy and had a cool vibe. Just know it's a smaller place so you might be closer to others. But I still felt comfortable and had plenty of room (and I'm one who would get overwhelmed if crowded by others at dinner). We came here in the spring and are already planning on coming back in the summer when the weather is nicer. Love the vibe of this place. Service is solid, many people (server, manager, and bussers) extending a helping hand.
Be the first to ReplyReally a subpar experience, unfortunately.
The place is extremely cramped. It's impossible not to bump into your neighbor. The host was not friendly or welcoming. Tables are very small, and we almost lost plates several times during a less than hour meal. Our main waiter seemed very sincere, but totally at sea. "How can I help you/ are you ready to order food? " after 5 minutes. we hadn't even ordered drinks. When they came, we were pressured to order again. We did. Tables came in after us and got their food before us, and when ours came, one order was wrong. it wasn't worth the trouble of asking for a correction. Pear salad was ok, the crostini - not what we ordered - were ghastly. While we were eating, I saw our mains go on the bar shelf where they sat for a few minutes, and the server brought them over while we were still eating appetizers. Now, the table really got cramped. The lasagna was meh ( I think it needed salt), the gnocchi were gummy. Then, they add a service charge which I guess is fine but there's no mention of that practice on the menu. Get rid of 1/4 of the seats, get competent staff, and maybe have a better attitude? There are too many good Italian restaurants in the neighborhood to come back.
Be the first to ReplyThis is a cute Italian restaurant in the West Village.
I recently visited with some friends for dinner before heading to an ice cream shop and a comedy club nearby. We had a reservation for 6 people, but when we arrived, they had seated 4 of my friends at a table and told us we'd have to sit separately. Not a huge deal, but the hostess seemed upset that we had a 6-person party. Aside from sitting separately from the other people in the party, the rest of the experience was great. The bread was soft and warm, the pasta was delicious, and the restaurant is in a great location. I had the linguini scampi, and the shrimp were cooked to perfection. The pasta had a touch of lemon, as well, which elevated the dish. If you're in the area, make sure you check out Gelateria Gentile for dessert!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolute disappointment in every metric possible.
We were a party of six and after barely giving us the menus he was pushy with drinks. Later when we were ready to order he ignored us for about 10-15 minutes, almost intentionally as we saw him walking around avoiding eye contact. Eventually we got to order, and when the food came 1 of the order was incorrect. He didn't bother to apologize and after another 10-15 minutes everyone got their food. I got the pizza diavola and let's just say better can be found easily. The cheese and spicy soppressata fell off the flimsy, soggy crust the instant I grabbed it. It lacked flavor but not salt, as it was its primary (and only) flavor. Overall, I would not recommend unless desperate.

3.7 realistic. Food was ok but nothing to crazy. Is a good spot for a date night or dinner with friends. The staff is very nice and accommodating. Drinks are good, pasta is ok, pizza is meh.
Be the first to ReplyThis afternoon I was in the mood for Eggplant Parm.
Looked at the wall menu. Chicken Parm was on list. Questioned man at counter he said Eggplant isn't on the menu. This is the first Italian eatery that doesn't offer eggplant. Wonder why.

We walked in here first because it was so convenient to the Village Vanguard. They were so warm and welcoming so we sat down and ended up with a delicious dinner. The salads were so fresh and the chicken parm fantastic! Other people were stopping by for pizza slices and those looked great too.

Had a wonderful time at the renovated Tivoli Trattoria! This space used to be a run of the mill pizza spot but after a complete overhaul you'd hardly think it was ever a simple pizza spot. We made a reservation for two online and arrived at around 7 PM. When we arrived the seating area space was almost already full. After a while there wasn't an open table! When it came time to order we spit the meatballs as an appetizer. I went with the chicken parm, and we ended up choosing the tiramisu for dessert. Everything here hit the spot! Flavor, savory, and just the perfect portion. I'd advise anyone looking for traditional Italian dishes to come here. Be warned though they sell slices as well so they're might be a lot of foot traffic indoors!

The food is delicious. Chicken linguine was rich & herby with organic chicken, mushrooms & peas.

Formerly Rivoli, this spot above the Village Vanguard is a good place for pizza, salad and a glass of wine. I highly recommend the Tivoli Burger!
Be the first to ReplyI really enjoyed this spot.
We were too hungry to take pics of all of the food. All I can say is that it was delicious the service was great. I would have gave 5 stars but my chicken was a little dry in my pasta.
