There is no better oasis in Miami.
As a local, this is one of the very few spots in Miami Beach that I genuinely enjoy being in. It's the right balance of relaxation and fun vibes. The rooms are very cozy, the spa services come highly recommended (the facial by Marcia is my wife's go-to), and the pool area is the best in the city to me. I also want to give a special shout-out to Fabian. He's always around and bringing such a positive energy into any space he walks into. You can catch him in a colorful shirt, wide-brimmed hat, and a big smile throughout the hotel. Make sure to say hi : )
Be the first to ReplyThis is our favorite goto getaway in Miami.
On Belle Idle between the City and SB. Very chill vibe. Great little bars in the hotel. Awesome spa and world class service! The pool is the best.

I truly recommend this place for breakfast and brunch

I love the Standard in Miami and visit as often as I can! It's very dog friendly and I love being able to spend time by the pool with my pup (which is a huge reason I always come back and stay here, other than the staff!). I usually book a room with an outdoor bathtub and honestly, I don't think I could do without now. The landscaping is always impeccable and the tropical plants are insanely beautiful. The food at Lido is also great. On my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of meeting several employees who made a big impact during my stay. First, great check-in experience with Paul. Then I had a really amazing detox cleanse massage with Keahi and another amazing deep tissue massage with Meggie. We had several meals at the Lido restaurant where we met Christy who has incredible energy and was overall so lovely. I also want to shout out the housekeepers, Gustavo the bellman and everyone at the valet. The staff really makes this place magical and I can't wait for my next visit.

Very disappointed I had an emergency with my husband and I asked politely if I can come in another day to enjoy the spa. I was told they will charge me. In life you cannot plan things to happen. I find this completely rude for the spa. I am a local and I do come to the standard often. Everyone was very rude and not helpful at all. Very disappointed and disgusted

Love it here so much! One of my favorite hotels on the beach. Super relaxing adult playground (no kids allowed). I had one of the rooms with the tub on the terrace which was fun. We enjoyed the beautiful pool during the day and at night. We relaxed at the spa and on the hammocks outside. We enjoyed zodiac inspired cocktails at the Monterrey bar. Had great food poolside as well as at lido grill. Overall, wonderful experience and would definitely come back!

This review pertains to the booking process and not the actual spa experience. I would say the actual spa experience was very good. They delivered very satisfactory and friendly service. Everyone at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The massagists were also nice and skilled. I felt relaxed (fell asleep), and cared for. The different amenities at the spa are also diverse. The hot and cold rooms as well as lounges offered satisfactory experience and a superb view of the city as well. We spent around a couple hours and had a good time, alternating between different rooms and showers. However, the booking process was a bit of a hassle. There were four of us for the bachelorette party, and the online booking process was a bit complicated so I could not select the service for all of us. I ended up talking to someone on the phone, who was helpful. Note: There is a minimum booking fee in order to use all the amenities at the spa. But the problem was, the day before we flew out to Miami, at 10 pm (!) we received an email from the Spa saying the service has to be cancelled because the technicians won't be there for "unexpected circumstances." I was a little baffled at how last minute was, and I was not sure if I could plan other things in such a short notice. We ended up booking a different service (more expensive!) that was available at the time of the day. It did leave a little sour taste in my mouth though, because the original service had to be cancelled very last minute by them and they did not offer any incentives or help to make up for it. I would say expect fun and nice day here, if you could jump through the hoops of setting up appointment with them.

I don't typically write reviews, but our experience was so unsatisfactory it was worth sharing. No need to post the laundry list of things that went wrong, but don't let the photos fool you that this is a cool and luxurious spa. There were many unprofessional things that happened and we will be going back to the Bamford Spa at 1 Hotel from now on. Side note: If you are not staying at The Standard then I suggest taking an Uber. We arrived to the hotel, where it is "valet only" (only residential parking with permits anywhere in site) but the valet was full and they sent us away unapologetically. We asked how often this happens and the valet told us "every weekend" (and we came during off season). The 10 minute walk in the rain from Sunset Harbour was not a relaxing way to start our spa day.
Be the first to ReplyOverall a pretty bad experience.
Make sure to check all of the items in your mini bar for any damage to the label or seal. I didn't drink a $130 bottle of Moet and they sent me a pic of an unopened bottle of MOET with some of the foil damaged on the seal and charged me for it. The also don't honor if you booked for 3 or more guests through a booking site. They still charged me even though I paid the added fee when I booked.

the spa at the standard is definitely its redeeming quality as I was a bit disappointed with the hotel itself. The spa offers a great variety of treatments and has a stellar hammam, which is hard to find in Miami.

What an amazing experience! I had a 60 minute massage with Maryann (not sure if I spelled right) but she was wonderful. My ankle is sprained, she iced it for me. The massage was amazing. I had a turkish bath with Francisco I believe was his name :( I honestly forgot his name but it was truly amazing. I'll definitely be back.

The Standard Spa is our favorite local spa! People at the counter are lovely and our favorite pedicurists, Karen and Alejandra, are the best! Not only do they make our feet feel and look great but we always laugh a lot too...best r&r experience! Keith and Laurence

Lets just say beware. God only knows what this male massage does to his good looking female clients. Beware
Be the first to ReplyThis review is specifically for the pool at the Standard
This review is specifically for the pool at the Standard and the food, which was from the Standard's in-house restaurant called Lido Bayside.TL;DR - The cabanas are nowhere near the pool, the staff were smoking weed the entire time, food came out overdone and missing items, and the "clean" dishes provided were filthy. As a regular at the Standard in the Village in NYC, I was looking forward to coming here. Our pool is under construction and had guests visiting from out of town, so wanted to book a daybed/cabana at a local hotel pool for the day. We ended up booking this one, which was a gigantic mistake. The pool area is not large, and they cram the space to capacity. You cannot walk 18 inches without running into someone else. People were sunbathing topless (if that's your thing) and smoking. We booked a cabana for 4 for $400 minimum spend. The cabanas, unfortunately, are not near the pool at all, which is not advertised. They are 10 rows of loungechairs back from the pool, set against a wall of ivy, which backs onto an employee area that seemed like a combination of a break area and an area used for prep/staging. They clearly loved weed (no judgment for personal use, but when you're a paying guest, it's kind of unpleasant if you aren't partaking). It was an overpowering smell while we were there, and it was not relaxing as you could clearly hear the employees working or taking their breaks. We ordered food from Lido to the cabana, and the only good thing were the chicken lollipops. I ordered a croque madame with an over easy egg, and it hands down was the worst croque madame I've ever ordered. Very thin piece of ham inside a sandwich, minimal cheese. When it arrived, I was incredulous. The eggs looked as if they had been forgotten on the grill; they were so overdone, no yolk came out when cut into, it was just solid yellow. I ordered a side of "homefries with onion and peppers." There were no onions or peppers, literally just undercooked cubes of potato. My wife ordered an omelette; it arrived completely browned on the outside, severely overdone. The dishes provided were filthy (see photos). And one of the menu quirks -- a 750ml bottle of rose was $80, while a 1.5L bottle was $200 -- which makes no sense. Why would you buy the 1.5L vs. buying two of the 750ml?

Super unprofessional place the renovations not sure if it was this location or another make all the rooms super claustrophobic everything is smushed inside of four little walls besides being able to use the pool and have th e nice view the spa is worth skipping out on as far as massages and professionalism go
Be the first to ReplyStaff was rude .
told me they were going to place a hold on my card for a robe incase I took it . Lots of hidden fees and charges beware . Very over priced for the level of service
Be the first to ReplyThe Detox massage with Maryann (spelling?) was incredible.
Very very detoxing, and she has healing hands. The weekends are PACKED, the saunas, hamam etc are BUSY and we had to get on a waiting list to use the cold plunge in the pool..The reception is not very helpful - they don't offer you robes and sandals at first, you have request them and they scold you with reminders they are $30 if lost - the locker rooms are very basic. No fruit or snacks or flavored water... I would come back for Maryann's massage but the rest, keep your expectations low.
Be the first to ReplyThey no longer offer day passes.
If you want to have access to the Spa for the day, you'd need to make an appointment for one of their services
Be the first to ReplyI'm very pleased with my day at the spa.
I see low reviews BUT I do know the spa was closed/under reno for a while. I probably would've felt disappointed during the reno, too, but that's why I waited! Elenora was fantastic. She gave me a great massage. They were very friendly at the front desk. The steam room and ice room are both fantastic and I felt so great after. My advice is to book early to make the most of your experience. If you book too late, there may be no spots at the pool, and the spa facility may be crowded.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is totally overpriced and the customer service
This place is totally overpriced and the customer service is horrible. I went there because it was a gift from my daughters for my birthday and the fist thing they asked me as soon as I walked in was to shut my mouth in a very rude way. Second, and I don't know how, ??? They asked me for my method of payment when I received an email confirmation for the services, I asked the person if the massage hasn't being paid then I would not take it. She Said NO if you don't take it we will charge the other card... total mess ... why do you charge the original card then?Girls at the front desk are totally rude and unprofessional. The masseuse was kind and quiet. But the rest of the team was a joke.I would rather have a cheaper massage in a envy massage and it would turned out to be better Oh. Lastly others users commented to me on the sauna they also felt mistreated, so the feeling was mutual.

I booked a massage for a Sunday morning with my sisters and a friend. We decided to schedule our appointment for 8am since a benefit of buying a spa service is that you get access to the hotel pool, so we wanted to take advantage of the day!The massage was incredible, the masseuse used hot stones and really worked into my problem areas (shoulders and neck)! There are also cold and hot baths, a sauna, steam room and ice room in the spa that you can use before or after your spa service. I 10/10 recommend the standard for your next spa appointment. It's a little pricey but worth it and as I mentioned you get to use other hotel amenities as part of this cost.

Not worth the price !!I paid $400 for one night , check in was at 4pmI placed the do not disturb sign on the door for the morning they banged on my door by 10am yelling house keeping.Iam pregnant and was trying to sleep in , check out says it's for 1pm. I am super annoyed at the disturbing knocking the house keeper just did. Enough to have to write this review! Also , I ordered food from the restaurant last night and it was not that great. The spa is closed and I did a treatment it felt like it was not worth the price either for it being in a regular hotel room , untill the spa get renovated.I think the only cool thing about the hotel is the bay views and outdoor patio at night .Besides this I will not be coming back.
