Loves the tea service, the "speak easy" vibe! The rooftop has a great bar, great views of DTLA, and good food. Great for a summer day outing!
Be the first to ReplyFood was good .
Variety of drinks ! Didn't have any issues with parking down the street
Be the first to ReplyI stopped by far a bite and a drink.
It was just what I was looking for in a rooftop bar and eatery on a sunny day. The views were just right.

First let me start off by saying our server Ann was very capable & personable, my review is in no way a reflection on her. When I made the reservations the website offered buffet brunch for $69, I emailed the restaurant & said we would doing buffet & if they had bottomless mimosas? I never heard back, I emailed them twice. We were celebrating a birthday, and I was willing to pay for brunch, then I get an email that I have to leave my cc to hold reservations... no problem. I called an asked for a view & the attendant who answered said he would make note of request, but no guarantee...understood. When we arrived we were sat in a corner with no view...we were a party of 6. When we arrived there were maybe 4 other parties there. NOT CROWDED AT ALL!! NOT BUSY AT ALL!! We ordered bottle of champagne $64, 3 appetizers, 5 meals,1 of which was shared by 2, 2 cocktails =$480 gratuity included. The food was bought out at different times, we all were eating at different times. Unacceptable!! They tried to make it right by giving us 2 orders of beignets ... I don't mind paying for a view, ambience , atmosphere or food but this was a very disappointing & expensive outing. I wanted an experience and all we got was an astronomical BILL... I would not recommend this ROOFTOP DINING EXPERIENCE... NO BUENO...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY...BTW ,parking was $20
Be the first to ReplyThis is a beautiful restaurant bar located downtown LA.
The restrooms were filthy. The service here was excellent. The food was not great I got the Crab cakes They were over cooked and flavorless. I also had two mock tails they were delicious, I forgot the names of them. Overall if you're looking for a restaurant with a view this is a good place to go to. The food is soso. This was my second time here. And I will probably go back.

We stayed the night here (cute, trendy hotel, but tiny rooms) & had appetizers & drinks at the rooftop. The food was amazing! We tried the Baratta with tomatoes & the crab cake bites. Highly recommend both. Drinks were good too, I had a Martini & my daughter had the LA Girl. The view is mostly of neighboring rooftops, but the space itself was very comfortable & nice. The service was excellent. A little pricy, but I would go again.

Really satisfied with the service, food and drinks ! Kid friendly. Brought my daughter for her birthday on a Monday. The lady at the entrance is the kindest person, didn't get her name but she has blonde hair and glasses. Made us feel welcomed and was attentive. One sign was my favorite drink, not any place can make it. The Hennessy Sidecar is a miss at most places. They got it right here ! Main entree was the steak and huevos. Honestly really satisfied with the quality of the food. The guacamole from the chips and guacamole wasn't really good. It was too creamy, would prefer real avocado. Other than this place is a gem. I hope the quality remains because I would like to come back more ofter. The ambiance is great, the music is at a good volume and they have heaters to keep you warm and creates good lighting for the place. Very nice view of surrounding buildings.

The attendants at the front desk did not have a clue what customer service customer service should look like, the room had spider webs and dust in the ceiling and was extremely small, they don't even provide parking space in the facility. I would not come back ever. The rooftop bar had horrible customer service and the drinks where just super sweet and not good at all. Our burger was $30 and not worth it at all

Be the first to ReplyFirst time coming and it was a great experience.
My husband and I did the Rooftop Executive Chef brunch experience and it was great! Everything in the menu was delicious...the menu didn't disappoint at all, every meal in the menu was worth it!!! Everything portioned properly, it wasn't over-filling, it was just right! The day was perfect too because the weather was awesome to be in the rooftop, especially after the rainfall we've had for the past couple of months!Definitely will be coming back for dinner and/or happy hour, would love to see how the vibe is at night when the brunch was awesome!

Don't waste your money! Food is bad, drinks are trash & service was pathetic. Not worth the view.
Be the first to ReplyThe view is the only positive thing about this place.
Our waiter was odd & didn't know what he was doing. We were a party of 10. Our food came out at different times, so we did not eat dinner all together. Never got any refills, even though we asked. We asked about FIVE times for the bill & never got it! Asked another waiter about 3times for the bill STILL never got it! So we had to get up and look for a manager to pay, which was a huge inconvenience. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Food is bad, drinks are PACKED to the rim with ice, service sucks & over priced.
Be the first to ReplyIt's okay, don't think I'll be going back.
Had reservations, made us wait 20 min and it was empty (wonder why) and Menus where so dirty. Food was good had the chicken and waffles and the creama. Service at the table was good and attentive.

Spectacular views of downtown LA with classic American cuisine. Gigantic burgers and great selection of drinks to set the tone and ambiance. Even if you're not staying at the hotel the staff is welcoming and it's a great stop to grab food during golden hour with friends. Stay Eatin!

I recently visited Rooftop Wayfarer, a rooftop bar and restaurant, and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. While the view from the rooftop was decent, I found the food and drinks to be overpriced, and the quality only mediocre. The drinks were okay, but not outstanding enough to justify the high prices.Despite these issues, I will say that the server we had was very friendly and provided good service. They were attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.Overall, I cannot recommend Rooftop Wayfarer due to the high prices and mediocre quality of the food and drinks. While the view and atmosphere of the rooftop were nice, they were not enough to make up for the overall experience. I hope that the restaurant management will take steps to address these issues and provide better value to their customers in the future.
Be the first to ReplyUnfortunately we can't provide a positive review since this
Unfortunately we can't provide a positive review since this is the 2nd time we get charged more for food items than the price stated on the menu. Management Please update ur menus to reflect the correct price instead of trying to be sneaky and adding $1 or $2 more to the food items- thinking we wouldn't notice?& no - we did not substitute for anything so there was no need for extra charges. You tiny portions are already expensive
Be the first to ReplyAfter hearing such amazing things about this place, I
After hearing such amazing things about this place, I couldn't wait to go. I heard they had this great 9 course brunch that included food and drink. I made reservations for myself and 4 other ladies. When we arrived , we were greeted by Elizabeth and she said we could have a seat while she made sure our table was ready . We got seated , umbrellas were moved around .... But I was still in the sun. I wasn't going to complain , after all.... I'm on the rooftop . As we're getting situated in our seating area , we see a table become available , which was fully shaded . We ask our server Adam , if it's possible to move to that table , in which he replies "let me check with the host" . Well, another group of ladies decided to ask Adam as well, if the table was available for them. We overheard them , but knew we had already asked . I'll save all the filler and just let it be known that a group of 5 POC women asked for a table , we were given excuse after excuse as to why the other group of WHITE women were given the table and they refused to let us speak with a manager. Then they sat us all in the same area , but only gave US the option of sitting in the back of the restaurant. At one point , our server Adam claimed to be a manager. At this point , we should have just left ..... because the experience was all downhill from there . It was hot , we were hungry and extremely thirsty, so we stayed . Our 9 course experience , was brought out 3 courses at a time. I believe everybody that was working that day , must of been servicing our table . Every time i looked up , there was a server eyeballing our table . To make it even worse , they told a big party that we were sitting at their table (and that party continued to look in our direction the remainder of our experience. A lady in a green dress looked at our table several times , came in the vicinity of our area a handful of times ...... she was part of the party that would be sitting at the table when we left . This broad even pressed the elevator button for us. Tell us to get the fuck out without telling us to get the fuck out. And since when do you asks guests to move to another table to pay the check ? When did servers start leaving checks their guests said they were not ready for??They dropped the ball in all aspects. If good food and discrimination is what you want , The Rooftop at The Wayfarer is the place to go.

I wanted to reach out to you regarding my visit / experience on August 7th, 2022. I want to start by saying the food was delicious and my hat is off to the chef. We originally found you restaurant on Tik Tok, we had some friends visit your restaurant a few months ago and decided because some of us had never been including myself, it would be a great place for a lady's brunch. The experience my party and myself had with your staff was unprofessional at the Least. Myself and 3 out of the 4 women in my party arrived at the restaurant about 12:10pm our reservations were at 12:15pm. The hostess confirmed all five would be dinning and we were asked to sit until our table was ready. There were two women seated on the opposite couch waiting to be seated during this time. The hostess seated these women first and then we were seated. While the hostess seated us, we noticed there was a lot of sun at our table and the umbrella did not cover the table which left one of the women in our party in the sun. The hostess attempted to adjust the umbrella, but she was unsuccessful and walked away. A table in the corner with plenty of shade became available. The rest of the party for the women that were seated before us arrived and Adam the waiter came over to greet us , during Adams greeting our table asked could we be moved to the table with shade in the corner , Adam states he would need to ask the hostess , during this time one of the women in the party behind us stated she had "skin allergy to the sun" jokingly and that there was too much sun where they were seated and walks over to the hostess ( now I can relate to this as we just had the same issue ).The women from the other party walk back and so does Adam (waiter). Adam states the women that were seated at the table prior to us already had the area we asked for reserved, now you can only imagine how perplexed we were at the bold face lie Adam just told us as they were seated prior to us at a table behind us. (This poses the questions: if the table was reserved by them why weren't they seated there to begin with).Immediately we ask to speak to manager and Adam stated he was the manager and that he could accommodate us by moving us to the back of the restaurant. Immediately I asked for someone above Adam, and he stated there was no one else available. Adam (the manager/waiter) says he would go see what else he can do and returns with his options from the hostess for our table. We could be moved to the back of the restaurant, or we could be moved to a 15-party area which had more shade, neither option was provided to the other party of women who already had been seated.Seating five people at an area sized for 15 people didn't seem to make sense as that would slow revenue for the restaurant, but this was the option the staff came up with. Of course, we did not want to move to the back of the restaurant, so we were moved to the oversized area for our party of 5 ... when we were moved to this area, we were told there was a large party arriving @ 1 pm and we were being seated at 12:30pm. We asked would we be rushed and were told by Adam; he would handle it.There was five of us and we each ordered your 9-course menu and additional drinks which brought our bill to 500 plus dollars... each of our courses came out 3 at a time (I'm sure this wasn't because your staff was attempting to save time on our stay and of course it wasn't due to large party that had a reservation at 1pm right?). The wait staff kept coming to look over our table to see if there were any way things could be moved along (again this isn't a form of being rushed right?)Now after a rough start and a rushed meal, as we were preparing to pay the hostess Elizabeth came over to our table and asked us blatantly could we move because she had a large party to be seated there. Here we are confused again the table of women that were seated in the area we asked for first was not asked to move, but we were being asked to move? When Elizabeth came over, we had cash in hand to pay for our meal and exit the restaurant. We explained to Elizabeth the hostess we would be moving as soon as we could put the money down for the bill, she then proceeds to asks can we complete the bill at another table, I am not in the food industry, but I am sure she could have spared a few more moments! to allow us to complete the transaction without us having to move all our things. My group was a group of women of color who all come from professional backgrounds and instead of being treated with respect, we were lied to and asked to move to the back of your restaurant so that a group of women not so ethnically diverse could sit in the area we asked for first. not even an apology was given from the staff based on what happened. Thank you for taking the time out to read my message.
Be the first to ReplyI was excited to visit The Rooftop at The Wayfarer! When I
I was excited to visit The Rooftop at The Wayfarer! When I first walked in the hotel it was such a pleasant ambiance! Lobby smelled amazing and the gentleman there was very welcoming. I thought to myself, 'Oh its about to be lit!' Arriving to the top floor! First thought 'Owww it's a little hot up here'! Nevertheless I knew the experience would make the heat worth it! Ouch! I was wrong. After arriving to my seated party everyone looked distressed! They brought me up to date how we were discriminated against not stating in which way but provide the scenario and you decide. In short my party of 5 POC woman asked for a table that was free. Then shortly after a party of 6 woman non POC asked for that same table while already seated. Unfortunately, instead of acting ethically they gave the table to the the latter party of 6. Denying my party stating the latter party asked first. How? When my party heard the latter party asked after them. Then Adam our server/ manager stated that they asked first and that they had a larger party. So you decide what type of discrimination we were given. Out of convenience the sat us at a table of 15 party that had reservations at 1pm and it 12:30pm. Nice right wrong!Next, after the bumpy start we tried to smooth things out and just enjoy the 9 course adventure because that's what we really came for. Also, people are human and sometimes drop the ball. Unfortunately , that's didn't happen either they brought out our courses 2-3 at a time making us feel rush and not able to enjoy the full experience. Finally, after given the bill Elizabeth our hostess with the mostest walks up and asked us to move while we have money in our hands to pay the bill. She says that the other party want to be seated. Ha! Really! So our bill of $500+ is nothing? My finally thought is Let's do better! Always remain ETHICAL over anything! Please get some fans or water mist device for elevate the heat a bit! My Advice STAY AWAY until they get some act right! Spending $100 on a breakfast brunch and feeling like regretful after ain't worth it! To my POC support your own and build up where you can!
Be the first to ReplyThe experience we had at The Rooftop is deserving of zero
The experience we had at The Rooftop is deserving of zero stars but in order to write the review, I have to give at least one star. I've been to the rooftop brunch before so I knew exactly what to expect. What was unexpected was the blatant mistreatment by our server, Adam, and the hostess, Emma. Totally disrespectful, inconsiderate, and discriminatory. Our party of 5 was seated at a table in the sun then noticed a party leaving from a shady area of the restaurant. We immediately asked our server if we could move to the shaded table. He left to ask the hostess and in the meantime, the party seated next to us asked their server to move to the exact same table. For clarification, we asked first. The person in their party that requested the move wasn't there when we asked for the table. She arrived after our request, noticed the shaded area then asked their server. Although we asked first, we were denied the table and lied to about why we were denied the table. Adam told us the party seated next to us had reserved the table. How is that possible if they were already seated and we heard them request the table after we requested it? LIE! Then Adam told us it was because their party was bigger. LIE! They were a party of 6, we were a party of 5. ONE person does not make that much of a difference. Then we were told that the other party made "accommodations". What does that even mean??? They simply did not want to give us the table and wanted to give it to the other party. I don't want to make this racial but we were a party of 5 women of color, and the party that was granted the table were NOT people of color. They accomodated us by seating us at a table for 15 that was due to arrive at 1pm, it was 12:30 when we were seated. Our 9 course meal was served 2-3 courses at a time, which made us feel very rushed and anxious. Then to top off the horrible experience, we were given the bill and asked by the hostess to move from the table because they needed it for another party. We were all holding cash in our hands to pay the bill when she asked us to move out of the way. It was beyond obvious we were preparing to pay and leave but Emma would not leave and would not stop telling us to move from the table. The party that was given the table we originally requested was not asked to leave, nor were any other guests, so why did we have to leave so abruptly? Discrimination maybe? Or maybe just really, really, poor customer service and management. We asked for the manager and Adam said he was the manager. LIE! With a total bill of $500+ you would think we could have stayed a few more minutes to finish our last drink but we were not so lucky. IT WAS AWFUL ON SO MANY LEVELS!!! There are so many other, much better, and more delicious rooftop brunches you can enjoy. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!
