Venue and atmosphere was pretty fun but towards the end of the night the security guard attacked me for no reason. I am a woman and this security guard threw himself on top of me and dragged me out of the club making a scene in front of everyone. Multiple people came up to us and told him to stop assaulting me while it was happening. He was short and told me he was Mexican. The staff informed me that they record everything from the employees so hoping this one was caught on camera so evidence is confirmed and this security guard pays for the abuse and unnecessary assault he executed on myself. I am very upset that this man has this job and thinks he has the right to assault women in the venue. No worries this will be getting escalated and again glad there's security cameras to confirm. I would also like to mention that the manager came out and tried to talk to him but he laughed in my face. This venue assaults women and manager laughs when I say this will be escalated to authorities.
Be the first to ReplyI often get really excited to visit a place that's hyped up
I often get really excited to visit a place that's hyped up to see what the hype is all about, and yet so often I get disappointed. Especially with new establishments that try to be the up and coming new hotness, trendy and different. Chasing Rabbit falls under this category. While I can appreciate the novelty of dining in a Library, I was underwhelmed by the size of it upon entry. I was expecting something more grand based on the website picture. But the tall ceilings help give it a more spacious feel. Also would have been nice if you could actually "check out a book" to read while you're there. The Arcade has a fun vibe as well. The real disappointment was in the food. The quality of gourmet cooking and craft cocktails did not match the ambience or live up to the hype. Let's go through the list... * Their most popular drink the winter dragon was a bit too syrupy for my taste. I recommend the "Flight to Sardinia" over that. * The ricotta appetizer was tasty but too rich and not as fluffy as good ricotta should be. The first bite was great but quickly became a bit much especially for just two people. Tip: if they offer you more bread politely refuse unless you feel $7 extra is worth it for a few slices of bread. * Warning on the rabbit bolognese, it's cooked al dente. Had I known I wouldn't have ordered it. But if you like al dente, then you might like this dish. In terms of sauce there's nothing to write home about though. And if you've never had rabbit (this was my first time as well), the closest comparison for it is dark meat poultry. You're really not missing out on anything with this one. * Saving the best for last... the one saving grace was the skirt steak. Tender and tasty. And the small tart salad it comes with complements it well. There's a reason why I gave this place 4 stars and not 3 ;) Though presentation of this entree does leave something to be desired. Two words to describe this place: Gimmicky and Pretentious. It can get a little stuffy. I'm more a fan of authentic. But if you are in search of FIRST class food, go to Vin 48 in Avon. While their small plates may not be kind on your pocket book, it's money well spent when you wish to splurge. (I am in no way affiliated with Vin 48. I just know quality food when I taste it and I like to spread the word when I find it.) Of course there's also something to be said about going into a place without any expectations. Maybe my experience would have been more satisfying if I had gone in with no expectations. I might try that at the next new hyped up establishment ;)
Be the first to ReplyAnother solid restaurant in Vail.
I was not impressed by the arcade, but it's not meant for me anyways. The food was pretty delicious throughout. Ambiance is good. Also very conveniently located.

It's such a good vibe. I love all the different rooms and games to discover. While drinks are at a premium, it's worth it for the atmosphere and vibe. They also have lots of different programming throughout the week so be sure to check out their website/social for what's going on when!

Brilliant place! Service was exceptional, hosts were very nice and helpful and the food was one of a kind. I had the octopus as a starter, salmon and roasted mushrooms as main and their cheesecake for dessert. The presentation of the dishes was pure art and everything tasted phenomenal. Sully, Alexia and Flor at the entrance welcomed me kindly and definitely went the extra mile to make my experience special. Management in the restaurant is on a very high level and the wine selection is incredible. I can easily say there is no other place that can compare with Chasing Rabbits in the region. I highly recommend dining with them. I also recommend visiting the arcade bar and speakeasy bar.

This is a review of the arcade / club area on a Saturday night. $25 cover to get in, which I find ridiculous for pretty much anywhere, let alone a ski town. I could already guess that it wouldn't be my kind of place, but I will give it props for the people watching opportunities. Such an odd mix of crowd - some richy riches in fur coats sitting in VIP, another group in spandex mini dresses and stilettos (who packs these on a ski trip?! lol), some dudes in faux fur and cowboy hats, then a bunch of us wearing casual clothes. I felt very underdressed. The house music was dull, no one was really dancing, just kind of standing around bobbing back and forth. We stayed for a few drinks to people watch then moved on. It is a cool space, with lots of fun photo ops, and it would probably be fun to go another time and play the arcade games.
Be the first to ReplyFood was amazing.
Great portion sizes. Bartender in charge of drink orders made every drink to perfection! Staff did an amazing job at explaining every dish, and helping us select our dishes. Overall I highly recommend this restaurant while on your vacation to Vail.
Be the first to ReplyI can say i have now tried rabbit for the first time.
.. ordered the rabbit bolognese and it was actually quite good. the ambiance is great and there are cool designs as well as chairs. Food came out pretty fast too. Fun spot to try for the night if you are adventurous and would like to try rabbit
Be the first to ReplyIn a word: FUN.
tried this place on our ski trip to vail on a whim and I'm glad we did. Different rooms have different vibes and styles. The food and drinks were pretty good but the arcade bar area was such a cool after dinner spot to hang with the kids over a drink. Frankly I'd go without them with the fun retro arcade games. Servers were attentive. Host seemed genuinely excited to have us there. I can't wait to go back.
Be the first to ReplyI had an exceptional experience at Chasing Rabbit
I had an exceptional experience at Chasing Rabbit Restaurant during my 30th birthday celebration in Vail, Colorado. The ambiance was perfect, creating a delightful atmosphere for the special occasion. The service was outstanding, and the staff went above and beyond to make our celebration memorable. The speakeasy bar added an extra touch of charm, offering a great selection and a cozy setting. I highly recommend Chasing Rabbit for anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in Vail. Five stars all the way!

An amazing bartender that makes the arcade a fun venue to visit. She was attentive, knowledgeable, and really made our experience too/notch. We will be back just to visit her.
Be the first to ReplyWe checked this place out while in the area on vacation.
Amazing service, food, and overall atmosphere. There are many areas within the restaurant including a game room, full service bar, and a speakeasy. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and offer great advice on pairings. We had the hanger steak, chicken, kale salad, and ricotta. Everything was perfectly cooked. I would highly recommend stopping by if you are in the Vail area!
Be the first to ReplyI was so excited for this spot to open as Vail is in
I was so excited for this spot to open as Vail is in desperate need for something new and unique! I was not disappointed when I finally headed over. They have done an incredible job with the interior and the different spaces to suit different preferences. The restaurant space is gorgeous and the staff was friendly and helpful from beginning to end. The food was quite exceptional, and the staff was very knowledgable and helpful in their recommendations. The chef does not only an amazing job with his preparations, but also his presentations and each dish was as beautiful as it was delicious. Looking forward to going back!

Be the first to ReplyI was a little worried to celebrate my Birthday here after
I was a little worried to celebrate my Birthday here after reading so many nasty reviews. However I am so glad we went anyway!! From the beautiful hostess that took us to the library for dinner, to our delightful server Annie G, we couldn't have had a better experience. Annie personally escorted me and my husband to the speak easy where we scored a table & enjoyed the most amazing cocktails! They were also showing Japanese black and white movies which was quite interesting. After we made our way to the arcade/disco & really enjoyed the ambiance. Overall this facility is really doing big things. It's a must when in Vail. Bravo Chasing Rabbits well done :)
Be the first to ReplyAccording to my wife, "They need to get their sh*t together.
"Lotta hype, so we went to see what it was all about. We started in the Rabbit Hole/Arcade, which is a nice bar set in the middle of a noisy arcade complete with people shooting hoops and kids running around and we couldn't find anyone to take an order for appetizers (appies). Wasn't my scene. At 7:00PM the "speakeasy," called Moon Rabbit opened up, so we thought we'd give that a try. The website said that they had their own menu. Turned out they weren't serving food because of (fill in the blank), but we ordered a $50 drink that served each of us about 1-1/2 glasses of a very delicious Tequila cocktail. That wrapped up our first visit. The next time we made a reservation at the restaurant because wifey read that they had our favorite, whole bronzini. About 10 minutes after seating us at a comfortable table with a wrap around couch on two sides, the hostess came and apologized, being new and all, but said that she seated us at the wrong table. Seeing that I was about to say something rude, my wife gave me "the look" and told the hostess that it was no problem. We were then seated at a similar table about 10 feet away. When the waitress came over, we told her that we'd like to start with some appies, then go from there. She told us that she had to put the entire order in at the same time, so we ended up ordering a couple of appetizers and bronzini for each of us.Perhaps as consolation, she told us that our receipt for dinner would get us into the comedy show happening in one of the other rooms. The sardine appetizer tasted like the sardines I get at Costco, only warmed up. The octopus, my wife's favorite was just OK. The first bite was interesting, but it went downhill from there. My wife loved the bronzini, said it was the best she ever had. Personally, I like it served whole, with the bones intact and not a lot of goop on top. This one was deboned, flattened and smothered in cabbage and fennel, or something. For dessert we had a pistachio something with what looked like shredded wheat. I'd give that a 5 or 6 out of 10.Oh, yeah. When we went over to check out the comedy show, a very rude lady told us that we had to pay, that the waitress was wrong about our receipt getting us in for free.I'm no restaurateur, but I do frequent restaurants and entertainment venues of all types and if I was in charge, I would have honored the waitress's promise, whether or not she was mistaken. After all she represents the restaurant. Which may tell you all you need to know.On the way out, my wife (a few drinks in, by this time) told everyone who worked there that they needed to get their sh*t together.
Be the first to Replythe rabbit hole was kind of disappointing.
the games were fun but dont go for dinner
Be the first to ReplyBuyer beware.
This place is garbage disguised as something special. Love the rabbit motif, but that's all they've got. Drinks are a zero. Staff is rude. Hosts are clueless. They've got all the ego of a first class spot, but nothing on the follow through. Amateur hour.
Be the first to ReplyThis review pertains to the "speakeasy" and bar/arcade.
Absurd $25 cover charge for an awful ambiance, rude and disinterested servers, exorbitant and bleh drinks, and an overall terrible vibe. Even the video games are a ripoff.
Be the first to ReplyHeard this was a new spot in Vail and came to check it out
Heard this was a new spot in Vail and came to check it out with my family! This expansive restaurant has 4 components- a dining room for traditional sit down dinner, the library which has the same menu as the dining room but a different space, a speakeasy for cocktails, and arcade with bar food and games for families with kids. You can make reservations for only the dining room and library. The atmosphere in each of the rooms is very different but very cool- the dining room is upscale, speakeasy is swanky, library is cozy and arcade is high energy. I do think the atmosphere is a bit pretentious ($3000 to join their club for a year??) and it seems like they're trying too hard to be an elite entertainment spot. The staff were friendly, prompt and helpful. We sat in the dining room. The food here is a bit pricey but on par for Vail. The menu has a wide variety of items. We had 3 people and ordered 2 appetizers and one shareable entree and it was more than enough food! At our server's recommendation we got the bread with ricotta spread which was great, but they give you way more spread than bread, so we asked for extra bread and were unknowingly charged $8 extra for a single loaf, so be aware. We also got the octopus at our server's recommendation- the seasoning was tasty but obscured the taste of the octopus, which was also overdone. It could have been chicken and I wouldn't have known the difference. Finally, for shareable entree, we got the branzino, which was delicious, well seasoned and plenty for 3 or even more. Overall, I could see myself coming back here- it's a cool spot, very different from all other restaurants in Vail and has solid food.
