Delicious but rushed brunch experience
I made a reservation for two to catch up with my friend. We were asked to leave one hour after our reservation, they could have handled themselves better from the onset with this request. It took me longer to travel here. This is maybe a nice neighborhood spot but absolutely do not spend time or money traveling here. They will rush you throughout the whole meal because they overbooked their brunch reservations and that will be your problem - not there’s.

Dropped in with the wife for a weekday dinner. Hardest part is finding parking around there. Food is very reasonably priced, we both really enjoyed our entrees. She had ribs, they came with fries and a unique cole slaw (no mayo, pickled cabbage--really good). I had a steak salad which was great. Saw couples, friend groups, a big table having a casual business get-together. Enjoyable ambience inside. Also they have a side bier garden.

Get reservations if you are able, as this place stays busy! My husband had the half chicken and my daughter and I had the cheeseburger. All was perfectly cooked and delicious with a side of our favorite grilled vegetables. We also enjoyed the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and their Pilsner beer. Lots of great service from the hostess, waitress, and all servers who brought parts of the meal. Would recommend and definitely return!

I’ve heard great reviews about this place and it didn’t disappoint. My husband and I were lucky to snag patio seats on a 70+ day in Chicago. The vibe is super cool outside and even better inside.
Drinks: they made my husband a mock tail mojito, which he enjoyed. I had a Bloody Mary that had a beer chaser. It was thick and spicy. I liked the beer back.
Starters: we had 4 lobster deviled eggs. I love that our waiter asked if we wanted to add a 4th egg since it only came with 3. They were messy, but very tasty. I love the sweetness of the lobster paired with the sharp taste of mustard. The cheese curds were huge! I love that they fried the giardiniera. You needed something pickled to cut the fat of the fried curds.
Main: we split the tuna salad. The ahi was perfectly cooked. I loved the ginger dressing with hints of mango and avocado in the salad. The pickled ginger was great too.
Overall, this place is awesome and we would definitely be back!
Great food and drinks
In town for a short weekend . This place was recommended by a local and did not disappoint. Great craft beer , delicious food , very friendly waitress and really cool building. Will definitely go back next time we are in town.

My mother and I picked The Perch off of the map when we were indecisive and hungry after wandering the restaurants around The Robey hotel a little over a half mile away. We called ahead to make sure our jeans and sneakers were acceptable and were delighted to find out we would not be awkwardly underdressed.
First, the ambiance was perfect. It was a tad industrial, mostly modern, and overall warm and inviting. It wasn't too dimly lit; I loved the green tiles on the bar; the bathroom wallpaper was fun. They had a cozy-looking covered patio, but we had been wandering in the rain so we chose to sit inside.
Next, the food was delicious! We got the cornbread and the lobster deviled eggs (based off of google reviews) and they did not disappoint. I was a bit wary of the lobster deviled eggs, but it was a pleasant combination. For dinner we had the half-chicken with mashed potatoes and the seabass (on special) with broccolini. We didn't want to stop eating, but we had to or we would have had to have been rolled out of there. The Perch also is their own brewery, but neither of us were interested in beer the night after a family wedding, lol.
Finally, our server was awesome. She was polite, funny, attentive, and provided expert recommendations.
Definitely check this place out!

I’m an East Coast guy and have eaten seafood everywhere. Strange that one of the best Mahi Mahi Sandwiches I’ve ever had is in Chicago at The Perch. Great service, easy in and out.
