The location can be a pain especially on weekends but the service is top notch! From the front door to housekeeping. This team loves their job. Thank you!

This review is for The Ned Hotel and adjoining spaces (including The Ned club access and the lobby restaurant Cicconi's). First the hotel.... I had stayed here numerous times when it was called The NoMad Hotel. It was shuttered for most of the pandemic and then last year reopened as The Ned NoMad Hotel under new management and in partnership with Soho House. Although I was always assigned a gorgeous and roomy suite in the past, this time I received a more traditional NYC style room that must have been around 500 SF - although it was laid out with a much more spacious feel. Oddly both the shower and toilet were situated in their own rooms set behind an Asian style screen that took up approx 1/3 of the room. Although at first it was quite odd to see and experience, it actually worked out to be quite comfortable and cozy. I can't imagine two people in this room style however it's perfect for one person. The room featured two very large windows overlooking Broadway and a typical sized closet and space tucked away to fit the minibar, safe and additional storage. A cozy armchair and decent size working desk complimented the room along with a super comfortable king sized bed. I found the room/hotel experience to be ideal and one that I'd quickly return to again in the future. The only issue was the sound leakage from the hallway as most sounds swept through to my room. The hotel product itself seemed to be the smallest part of the business here with more emphasis on The Ned club (formerly the hotel restaurant, library bar and hotel bar). Thankfully hotel guests get full access to these spaces - if that ever goes away, I would not stay at this hotel as it would seem too small otherwise. Staff were accommodating, helpful and informative. The Ned bars were wonderful as ever although redesigned since the new ownership took over. Plenty of space and what appeared to be very welcoming cozy spaces and menus.

Joined the Ned membership for a year and here's the takes: Love that the membership experience upon checkin, making reservations and especially the London Ned experience was exceptional(not related to this location despite sharing the same name) The club is quite limited in space and entertainment spaces. Only one event venue (magic room) for all kinds of talks, special events and meditation. Club dining menu was limited on the main level and upstairs. Sat down a few times at the table for brunch on Sundays, and the service was lacking and most of the servers lack the normal level of hospitality knowledge of food/drinks (fyi young new hires that just landed NYC withinin 3mo) Price is ridiculous for EVERYTHING! I had to ask why the price does not match the menu (so rude and uncomfortable for me to even ask!) I had such a pleasant experience at London Ned as the price was way more appropriate compare to the Nomad one . I'm already paying $5k in membership and why do I have to pay overpriced liquor/food! We dine and party out in nyc all the time and price is a bit insulting for Club Members here! The cool ppl are not there any more (figured that nyc ppl are smart :) the daily music at main room was pretty good every time we go but the crowd has been thinning down significantly recently. The level of club event in recent months has been lacking, again compare to the London location. No gym, no pool, no spa... dining options and special dining experiences are very limited again compare to 7 restaurants in London Ned and weekly seafood Sundays... So we are not up for renewal.

Overall, this place left a bad taste in my mouth simply due to how unattractive the staff acted and boring it was for such a new place. 4 of the 5 workers that I interacted with were trying too hard to make people feel inferior. I have some theories on why they acted how they did. 1.) They are enforced by management to act like that to make their place more appealing and to seem exclusive. This is common in the NYC scene. As a fairly new place, maybe they feel that they need to follow the trend to gain attention. Therefore, if so then it's just an eye roll at this point. If they did something different then maybe they will have people coming instead of hiring low-quality models to sit in. The atmosphere was so weird. I've been to so many venues in NYC and this one was just off. 2.) They may be overworked. It is possible, but when I was there there was barely anybody there to make them act like that. I will give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. 3.) Those specific staff members are just insecure and feel that this is a way for them to leverage themselves over people that they are intimidated by. It is also a common thing with insecure people. I say this, especially about the woman, who was not conventionally attractive, working the door after the magic show. She was dismissive and was trying too hard to make herself feel the superiority that she never had until being the door lady that she is now. The bartender downstairs did not say a word I tried to say how she is doing, and she looked me dead in the eye as if she was actually dead. I am a member, yes I paid the membership fee, and was still treated like this. I am an NYC local so when I go out I do play the part by dressing nice, looking good, and being nice to others. I point this out because I know it's not me. This place is questionable but has so much potential. The place was boring and dead, but maybe that is because it is new, I don't know. The main issue is the staff and/or their management.

Be the first to Replyouch! do not book here if you want to sleep.
the music went late and was unbearably loud...even on a high floor. it was rough to pay money for sleep deprivation. they need to remove "hotel" from their description...this is a loud club with rooms. i loved the old nomad...so stayed here without reading the reviews. my mistake. also, this was the first time ever, when checking out of a hotel, the front desk did not ask me how my stay was...i assume they already knew the answer.

Had the privilege to attend a private event in the magic room & got to explore the library and other areas of the club. The bartenders were all amazing.
Be the first to ReplyGood vibes.
..I'm not sure if it was because Meek Mill was there the night I went, but it felt like an exact replica of the 1OAK crowd/energy, just placed in NoMad. Friendly staff, same people from the scene, fun music. I would come back for a "night out" but not necessarily a chill drinks night.

It wouldn't let me and my friend in unless we bought a $5k annual membership on the spot. Which we didn't do. Little Ned around the corner is fine for a drink but nothing special. They like to take really long to makes drinks and big into putting stamps on your ice cubes. You can really taste the stamp as it melts into your drink.
Be the first to ReplyA very versatile spot with many options.
I definitely enjoyed sitting in the lounge and listening to the jazz band downstairs. Although when it came time to take the party upstairs, I was a bit bored personally. It's definitely and older crowd and not necessarily the type heavy into dancing. It seems like a great date night spot but not somewhere to spend your Friday night out.

Wow. I left this place speechless. Havent experienced such good and professional service in a long time (since Covid started) in NYC. From the minute we sat, till we finished our dinner the service was excellent. We started off with few drinks and bread. OHMYGOD the bread! And the butter! Insanely delicious, especially the pretzel bread. It was warm, it was soft, it was fresh, it was everything your taste buds can desire of. Butter - creamy, salty, flavorful, almost ice cream effect butter. Then shrimp cocktail and crab cake arrived. Shrimp was as fresh as it can get. Crab cake was a bit too salty for my taste. For entrees we ordered salmon and chicken Kiev style. For the record it wasnt original Kiev style chicken cutlet lol.l and it was ok. But salmon dish was unreal. It was perfectly cooked, very delicious, soft, oily and what not. Overall loved our experience here.

When traveling to NYC, I used to regularly stay at the NoMad Hotel which closed during the pandemic and re-emerged as The Ned. I was very excited to try this new iteration as the new design looked exceptional... Well, that is about the nicest thing I can say about my stay.It was awful. I'm very sympathetic to being short-staffed due to Covid. This wasn't a short-staffing issue, it was a customer service issue. Almost every staff I encountered bar a few were downright rude. I hosted business breakfast and lunch at their restaurant. We could not get a cup of coffee to save our lives, it took nearly an hour to get our food and most of our orders were wrong. Not only that, you get the added benefit of being made to feel inferior that you are asking for a menu or a glass of water. Like the other guest review, we stayed during Fashion Week. I was checking in about 1am due to an incredibly delayed flight. I literally couldn't get in the hotel as there were a mob of party goers trying to get into the downstairs club (I guess the hotel shares the same entrance). I finally got the attention of security who realized I was a guest and was able to *physically* pull me inside. When I got to my room, I might as well have just thrown the towel in and gone downstairs & ordered a drink* It was basically like being in the club. My windows were shaking, music was blasting and this went on until 4am. The front desk was not sympathetic. I was also told by another staff member, "Well this is NYC" Listen. I lived in NYC for a decade. I also travel on business here at least 4x a year. Don't pull that on me. Every guest I encountered the next day traded notes on how horrific the night was--it didn't seem to matter if you were on the highest or lowest floor, the noise was intolerable. With all that said, I realize you're a new hotel and kinks are to be worked out, but the condescending way we were treated consistently by staff (minus the doormen and room service who were lovely) was really disappointing. People have a lot of options of where to spend their hard-earned money, and The Ned won't be one of them for me.*Except you are not welcome to go to the club, even as a hotel guest who is spending hundreds of dollars a night.

If you have no career or connection to New York society; want, yet are unable to, remedy that; and are oblivious enough to broadcast it, please: quarantine here and away from the rest of us.
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely do not stay here.
It's 2am Tuesday morning, and the music is blaring. The walls are literally shaking from the bass at the nightclub outside my window. Call the front desk and hear them tell you that the noise is coming from outside (when your room faces an interior courtyard and you see the people partying out your window in the Ned club). Dishonest people at this place give it negative stars. This room should not have a bed. It's a false advertisement. You couldn't sleep here if you were dead.
