This is the second time I came here and had horrible service. I came here 4/12/2024 at 8:49 pm I was ignored for 25 mins while a bartender mumbled under his breath profanities and rude comments about guest. Two women sat next to me he immediately perked up asked them what they wanted and just for entertainment I waited another 5 mins just to see if he noticed me right next to them before I finally asked for a dirty martini. He looked at me as if I hadn't been in front of him the entire time and said "sure" then asked me if I wanted anything else and I politely said no thank I will close out, he mumbled under his breath "so it's just everyone else's fault? Sir I'm paying 20$ plus for a martini , you're the one who ignored me and yes , it is you're fault that YOU the bartered ignored a guest sitting in front of you for 25 mins. Then to top it off he poured the stingiest pour ever out of spite. I'm blown away by the rudeness the hostility and the sheer unprofessional behavior. Just plain nasty and rude. As an industry worker I have no words.
Be the first to ReplyI had the most amazing brunch experience at The Imperial!
I had the most amazing brunch experience at The Imperial! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was inviting and the service was top-notch. The variety of food options made it hard to choose, but we started off with the flavorful crab claws, though they could have been a tad warmer. However, the taste was impeccable. The mimosas were flowing, and while we had to remind the waiter a couple of times, they were always prompt and accommodating. As for the main course, the burger was outstanding - tender beef, crispy fries, and a bun so soft it practically melted in my mouth. The Imperial is definitely a must-visit spot!
Be the first to ReplyGood Wellington beef, good service.
I like this restaurant. And the environment is fine .

I really enjoyed brunch at The Imperial! The interior of the restaurant was beautiful and light. The service was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the legs n eggs with the Maryland seasoning/scrambled eggs and it was delicious. I heard several tables around me also ordering the same! The crab was tender and easy to remove from the shells. I felt very comfortable dining alone here, and was even offered to have my tea refilled after paying my check so that I could stay longer. Easy 5 stars! Looking forward to coming back and trying other things.
Be the first to ReplyThe food & service was so good.
Thank you Chris & sorry I can't remember the other very good servers eho helped. We got the tart & puffs appetizers. Delicious & light. I mean the tart was buttery & savory. The puff was crispy edged, sweet peppery goodness and that sauce could go on a rubber band ball and still taste delicious. The mushroom risotto was the creamier I've ever had. Yes I added scallops. Perfectly done, perfect amount. My only complaint is I didn't have any to take home & I never finish my food. The duck was offered rare but medium was an accepted change. Anything more and you don't like duck. It had a little char on the edges & tender. We chose the wine cellar to dine which has a completely different vibe than the bright & airy upstairs. It was a much more chill & comfort vibe. The sauvignon blanc wine was good with the risotto. The neggiomo red wine was so good with the duck. The prices were great & the portions were reasonable. Definitely coming back.
Be the first to ReplyCame here for happy hour on a Sunday.
Not too crowded. Hnfoetunately as of Sprinf 2024 happy hour no longer includes ousters. Staff super friendly, food had small portions but was tasty. The sandwiches were the best deal on HH menu Lobster roll - 4/5 delicious and perfectly buttery but very small Beef Au sus - 5/5 not pictured Blue crab claws - small portion Beef wellington - 3/5 again small
Be the first to ReplyWe went for happy hour yesterday.
Drinks, service, and food were all good. I want to go again. I would probably recommend going earlier, or at least when it's less busy
Be the first to ReplyWe wanted to check out this spot for their restaurant week
We wanted to check out this spot for their restaurant week menu for $40 per person for a three course prixe menu isnt too bad. Althought, the service was great and the ambiance was esthetical pleasing the food just didnt match to it. We ordered one of each of their appetizers and salad it was just okay. Nothing different that we have tried at other places. The dessert was the best dish out of the whole menu. The most disappointing part was the entree we ordered a Beef Wellington and the Pan Seared Rockfish. The beef wellington was way too chewy for our liking but had good sauce that came with it. The rockfish was way too fishy with the miso which we had to send back and instead ordered the chicken. Even the chicken wasnt that impressive because the creamy spaetzle had no seasoning as well as the chicken itself. When it comes to the drinks it was okay could be better. Overall the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful and the service was great! We are a food vlogger on Instagram and we will be posting a food reel for you all @ja.deliciousfoods
Be the first to ReplyBeen here twice for restaurant week - dinner in August 2023
Been here twice for restaurant week - dinner in August 2023 and brunch in January 2024. Both times I've been really pleased with the quality. The Restaurant Week brunch deal was the best I had - an espresso martini included with 3 meals. I don't understand why it has an overall 3.5
Be the first to ReplyExcellent bar service, happy hour and aesthetic.
Such a gem in DC. I want the interior designer of this restaurant to design my home. The bartender was so lovely too. The French onion dip was chef's kiss!!
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance was perfect.
The servers were attentive. It aligned precisely with our food and the quality. We ordered the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and thick cut grilled cheese for entrees and the crème brûlée, and seasonal bundt cake for desserts. We were there with a large party and one of the guest ordered the lobster deviled eggs and ham and cheese croquettes, both of which looked phenomenal and didn't disappoint according to our friends. We walked away pleased with our food experience and customer service.
Be the first to ReplySlowest service, Mediocre food.
The price seems reasonable when you visit but will receive small portions
Be the first to ReplyHonestly, this place was a major disappointment.
The waiter was new - didn't write down the order. He then came back and wrote it down, but missed an entree. The main courses that were ordered came out with the appetizers, so they got cold on the table, and when we told them the 3rd entree never came, it was rushed, but by then. the person that ordered it ate alone. And, to add insult to injury, it wasn't cooked well - the vegetables were overcooked and the meat was undercooked. A disaster all around, food-wise. The staff was polite, but they wandered around without any purpose, and seemed disconnected. A poor showing, at best.
Be the first to ReplyWell decorated, nice natural light coming in.
The drinks here are amazing which is a given. I enjoyed my food as well. Friendly staff.
Be the first to ReplyThe service was slow and staff were dismissive and rude.
No one at the host stand when we came in so the bartender sent us up stairs. When I asked about our reservation at the upstairs bar the bartenders acted annoyed and said we needed to check in with the host. We ended up sitting at the bar, ordered 2 drinks in 2 hours there because the service was so slow and the bartender only came back once to check on us. Won't be going back.
Be the first to ReplyReally bad for groups.
Service was terrible and blamed their inability to remember what we ordered on us. Do not recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI'm a fan! I've been here 3 times now-- one time upstairs
I'm a fan! I've been here 3 times now-- one time upstairs on the rooftop during the summer, another time in their speakeasy downstairs, and just recently for happy hour & dinner on their main floor. They make delicious cocktails, offer happy hour 5-7:30pm specials wed-fri, and daily $2 oysters during those hours too. We ordered the vieux carré cocktail, which if you're a whiskey drinker you'd love. They have a decent wine selection and we enjoyed the oysters and food. We went with the lobster deviled eggs and beef Wellington. Service was very friendly too. I would definitely come back!
Be the first to ReplyWent here for Valentine's Day and it was so much fu .
The restaurant is small, cute, private, and romantic. They had a very nice vday menú along with regular menú we can choose from. They have a bottomeless option for dinner which was nice too!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a great brunch or dinner spot.
The food, service, and atmosphere are outstanding, and the price is extremely reasonable. A must visit if you live in the area! For brunch, I loved the pastrami reuben on a marbled rye. And the dinner options are amazing. The duck is perfectly seared, cooked exactly to medium rare, and served with one of the best parmesan spaetzle I've ever had - a dish I will definitely order again! The boar pie is a really unique and amazing dish. It comes in a puff pastry with the bone sticking out. The rich boar flavor, crunchy pastry, and delicious gravy all go perfect together. Their lobster roll appetizer is also phenomenal - it comes with two pieces, is served on warm house made bread, and really could not be better. And the bread pudding dessert is also really good - it tastes like a delicious french toast. We loved everything we've eaten here!Their happy hour also has some great deals! Worth coming between 6 and 7:30!I can't wait to come back!

Loved going here for a family brunch - mostly till try out their seafood tower. The food was fresh, service was excellent, and ambiance was elegant but not pretentious.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious experience.
Wonderful cocktails and great food. I highly recommend the Brie. The New York sour was fascinating. I have not had wine and whiskey together before :)

Be the first to ReplyReturned with some friends who had FOMO after telling them
Returned with some friends who had FOMO after telling them about my Seafood Tower experience. Well that, and I left my puffer vest there over 3 weeks ago. I called 12/31 and spoke to Mason the hostess and she assured me that it would be there whenever I returned... and it was there with a note!! Thanks Mason!!My friends were pleasantly pleased with the Imperial Tower that the 3 of us shared. The 1st time I had it, it was more than enough for 2ppl but I can honestly say that while huge, it's not enough for 3 seafood lovers!! They ended up ordering additional sides and one ordered dinner from the restaurant week menu. Thee our server took really good care of us and was extremely knowledgeable. Overall it was another good experience.
Be the first to ReplyWent here for NYE dinner.
Enjoyed the Grand Tower. The vibe and decor are upscale. The have a basement bar with tables as well. I'd go back! Nothing exciting stood out, but also nothing negative to say about the experience.
Be the first to ReplyPlease read: food is delicious, service is MEH.
What a disappointing NYD brunch. First, they advertised seafood towers, but only had 1 type of oyster. Odd when the restaurant also had a "raw pop up." The bartender on the first floor told us about an Ardbeg Bloody Mary so when we got to the cellar we asked for one, the waitress asked us "what's is Ardbeg?" (Isn't this a whisky bar?). The cellar also advertised live jazz from 12-4. It was 12:30 and nobody was playing. Sigh. Really enjoyed the fried chicken sandwich and the beef Wellington. We also ordered a dozen of the only oysters they had, they were good. Food always delivers. Maybe they can fix the glitches.
