I have lived in the Cotswolds for 10 years now and at first we visited this pub all those years ago. It was a place that served good food and offered a beautiful setting. Today it was the same venue but the horrific arrogance of the staff made the place ugly. It was overpriced and although we were sitting in what felt like a conservatory, the table next to us was supposedly in the bar and they were allowed their barking dog at the table yet we were not. All a bit pathetic. When I died if I could bring my dog in to the empty space and just our table eating in the area I was greeted with rudeness and arrogance from what I think was a jumped up waiter. At best the manager. Surely not the owner?! give them a few months before it fails with staff and owners like that. I’m in the hospitality industry myself and they should know better after covid and the difficulties that brought to us all. They are arrogant instead of being grateful a customer gives them their business. It won’t be repeated. I’ll spread the word to my extensive social and business connections in and around the area and London where I also live part time. Their loss
