Testaccio Chicago Reviews from The Last Year
Nice Italian Place
Had a wonderful dinner here on a Friday evening. There are two separate sitting areas in the front near bar and the back. We sat close to the front and it was nice being away from the crowd. For appetizers, we had the Arrosticini (lamb), Baccala, and Artichokes. Enjoyed everything especially the Artichokes. Seems few places serve it. For the entrees, we shared the Cacio e Pepe, Wood Fired Mushrooms and Porchetta. It maybe the first time I've had Porchetta. I really like more of the outer fatty parts with the crunchy skin. The Pepe was simple but loved the firm fresh noodles. The service was very good.
Their lobster pasta alone is worth a visit.
The restaurant is a little off from downtown Chicago, but I wouldn't let that stop me from coming back. The service was perfect and we had a fantastic evening, with incredibly good food! I would highly recommend their lobster paste

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
