This is our favorite Indian restaurant in Vancouver, B.
C. We have been to the Delta location several times and were delighted to find the Yaletown location after visiting Granville Island. Both are beautiful inside, have excellent servers and the food is always outstanding. We have lived and traveled in India, so know our Indian food. Some of the food we had there wasn't this good! Don't let the hokey, unsophisticated name fool you. Maybe it offers a measure of authenticity. We ordered a couple types of naan, basmati rice, butter chicken, Kadahi lamb, Vegetable korma, dal makhni, and lassis. All were excellent. My favorite was the butter chicken, but I loved it all. A trip to Vancouver means Tasty Indian Bistro for us!
Be the first to ReplyThis is a nice restaurant with a very club like decor.
We got the paneer tikka that came on a sizzler and the sev puri which came with yogurt. The food was pretty good but our hostess was the sweetest!

Great Indian food. Good service.

Oh man, i have been to so many indian restaurants in the Bay area and in LA that is had very low expectations although my Vancouver friend highly recommended it. Also, being of Indian origin, my expectations of Indian food is very high given that I make amazing biryani and non-veg food at home. But boy, was a pleasantly surprise. First, they take reservations and expect you to be on time. When we arrived, we were immediately seated in our table for four, high marks for that. And then the decor was very eclectic and modern and very unlike the usual Indian restaurants where they have pictures of Indian villages and Ethnic clothes and ethnic music instruments, had too much of that. So this was a very pleasant surprise when the decor was all modern. The menu was large and usually with large menus. None of the dishes are good at least that's our expectations but again boy, every dish on the menu was Freshly made, served hot and it was very tasty. For drinks we ordered the sangria which was pleasantly strong, and then for appetisers, we had the Samosa. And also the Tandoori fish. Watch the video of the Tandoori fish which was served. Hot, the fish was juicy and soft, and without asking we were given the peripherals of raw onions, green chilies, which is a staple for Indians who like spicy food. After the Tandoori fish for main course, we had the garlic naan, lamb Rogan Ghosh, Dal Makhani, and finally the prawns pulao. Each One of those items were served so hot, so fresh food and extremely tasty. I can write more and go on and on, but suffice to say. This was probably the best Food I have eaten outside of Home in a long time. Please do visit this place if you're visiting Vancouver.
Be the first to ReplyTasty Indian Bistro in Vancouver exceeded my expectations
Tasty Indian Bistro in Vancouver exceeded my expectations and came highly recommended by multiple Uber drivers, emphasizing its popularity within the local Indian community. As a fan of Indian cuisine, I was delighted to find that it lived up to the hype. The ambiance is simply exquisite, making it an ideal setting for friends, a romantic date night, or even a solo dining experience, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Starting with a smooth and subtly flavored chai, the pot generously provided enough for two full cups of this delightful tea. Moving on to the main course, I ordered lamb vindaloo, white rice, and naan. The naan, though thinner than what I've had before, maintained its signature light and flaky texture. The lamb vindaloo was a true highlight - tender and mouthwatering, the sauce was a perfect complement to the white rice. What added an unexpected twist to my experience was the lively music selection, featuring artists like Mindless Behavior and other hip-hop songs, creating an upbeat atmosphere even though the restaurant was relatively empty during my visit. The friendly server provided excellent recommendations, and I left wanting to party. The vibe of the place is so pleasant. Tasty Indian Bistro is a must-visit for anyone craving Indian cuisine in Vancouver.

The fried shrimp appetizer at Tasty Indian Bistro was disappointing--lacked flavor and too costly for what you get. Other curries weren't too great either.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Punjabi taste.
Don't forget to order Daal makhani. Wait time can be more if you visit without reservations.
Be the first to ReplyBe careful they charged us 18% gratuity for a group of 4.
This is a big scam. Ask them beforehand about GRATUITY. Service was good, but the d quantity is small for the price. Quality is reasonable. I think the price has gone up, and the portion size has come down. Ambience is reasonably okay.was

By far the best Indian cuisine I have ever had. Service was top notch from the appetizer to the main course everything was amazing.
Be the first to ReplyI'm still thinking about the food a week later.
Incredible food, and hands down the best service I've ever had at a restaurant. The staff were attentive without being overbearing. This will be a go-to restaurant from now on!

This is my favourite place to get Indian food in Vancouver when eating out. I've heard that it's as authentic as it gets in the city, while the ambiance of the restaurant is upscale and trendy. Service is also always great and my personal favourite is their unique and exotic cocktail menu!

Beautiful restaurant with chic modern decor with an Indian twist. Had dinner with a few friends. As it was a little late we skipped appetizers and went straight for dinner. One of my sons had the paneer tacos which he loved. A couple of the other kids had the chilli paneer, vegetable Manchurian and veggie Hakka noodles and polished them off. The six adults shared dal fry, dal makhani, palak paneer, malai kofta accompanied with naan and tandoori roti. Delicious food, prepared with quality ingredients, and rich gravies. The one member of our party who eats meat order the seekh kabab. He was pleasantly surprised by the blend of chicken and lamb. All in all, everyone left well fed and happy with the decision to eat here.I should mention service was also very attentive and helpful. From the menu we couldn't tell the difference between the Tasty IPA and the Tasty Pale Ale. We sampled both. I liked them both with the Pale Ale tasting a little fruity but preferred the IPA which was a great accompaniment tot he food.
Be the first to ReplyKari Pakora was made from kofta balls and coconut sauce.
Why have it on the menu if you can't follow a recipe? It was inedible!

Tasty is one of my favorite Indian food joints here in Vancouver. The food is great and very tasty. The service is all really good. Over all very good experience. We love going there as a family and we make a point to go there every time we visit Vancouver. Over all I am not a big fan of Indian deserts so I never tried it here.5 for food 5 for service
Be the first to ReplyExcellent authentic Indian.
I particularly enjoyed the lamb vindaloo as well as the sultani fish. Bit honestly everything is really good. Staff is very friendly

If you want to try authentic Indian food, this is your place. Delicious authentic food with amazing service. The waitress, Jen was so sweet and kind. She suggest so many different plates, and she was on point with the our choices. Most of all the atmosphere was epic. Love the feel and modern look. Such a great place. Thank you Tasty Indian Bistro for the great service and food.

The restaurant is upscale and elegant, but the food was just okay. My party of five was rarely helped by our waiter; we had to wait for him to walk near us so we could flag him down to take our order and our drinks were rarely refilled. There were only a couple of other tables, so this was even more surprising. We ordered their chicken tikka masala, chicken korma, devil's drumsticks, garlic naan, and gobi manchurian. My personal favorite was the chicken tikka masala, which is definitely a classic staple, and the drumsticks, which were plated nicely. I did not love the gobi manchurian, mainly because of the texture of the cauliflower. However, the most upsetting part was that rice was not included with the entrees. This is the only Indian place that I've ever been to that charges extra for rice. Other places come with rice or naan, especially if you order tikka masala or korma. We were told that the rice was big enough to share, so we only ordered two, but three probably would have been better. Just for the price alone, I don't think I would come back, despite some really good entrees.

The place is easy to locate. This is a good Indian restaurant with the bar as well. The service was little slow but it was worth the wait. We ordered malai kofta and kadai paneer and both the dishes were extremely good. Must try!

Great food, drinks and ambiance! We tried a few of the signature cocktails and everything was delicious! The appetizers were great, perfect for sharing, and well presented. The decor inside the restaurant was also very nice. Overall, this was a great place to hangout with friends when craving some Indian food!

Best Indian in Vancouver! Knowledgeable staff and food came out hot and fresh. Garlic naan is a must.
Be the first to ReplyFeeling like some Indian food so we made a reservation.
Very nice restaurant with interesting decorations. We ordered drinks and they arrived quickly, delivered by a different waiter. After sitting around for 10 minutes waiting to order, we flagged down a new waiter, who was able to take our order. Food arrived quickly and was very well done. Just the right amount of spices.Would go again.
Be the first to ReplyI really wanted to like this place.
The location and the atmosphere were on-point and I love good indian food! However, there were a few major things that let it down for me. First off, our server was not very good. She was distant, grouchy and honestly just seemed like she didn't want to be there. It was the four of us and she only took the order of three of us before she walked away and our fourth guest sat there in confusion. Look, I get it....I've worked in service for over a decade and a big part of being qualified to serve customers is to be able to check your baggage at the door before your shift starts. The food was below par. It just wasn't fresh. We ordered drinks and with it came old stale limes. With the size of the bar they have you'd think they'd be cutting fresh limes constantly but we got served ....well...check out the pics. The flat bread did not look appetizing at all, and on top of it it was served with the butt of a tomato. My fish Pacora was ok but the veggies on top again were dried out. We also ordered some Masala Fries and that was also disappointing because it tasted like old fries that had been microwaved....soft and limpy. Fresh fries have a crunch and crisp to them and these ones looked and tasted like anything but.Too bad.
Be the first to ReplyI came here to celebrate a birthday.
It was definitely a wonderful experience. Not only did I enjoy the food, they have a good patio for large groups.I had the lamb biranyi and it was one of the best places I have tried in Vancouver. I would recommend it. The rice is also perfectly prepared. I also enjoyed the garlic Naan.I was told by my friends that the butter chicken is very tasty and that while be the next thing I would try.
