Think American meets Mediterranean. Whatever description that you believe the food will be, take that completely out of your mind. They are very descriptive in the menu, however after visiting many, many restaurants I can say it wasn't what I expected. That wasn't to say it wasn't good. Just not what we expected. If I were to revisit, I definitely would try something different based on our experience. We ordered the crab cakes - no fillers. It's not lump crab cake, just crab. The roasted red pepper hummus, was good as well.Short rib ragout (special) - Very flavorfulMonte Cristo w/ orange marmalade - This was different yet flavorful.

Ambiance = 10Service = 7Food = 4Have come here a few times now because the location and atmosphere are so good... Hoping each time that they had a off night on the food or i just didn't order the right thing... each time it's been a let down because the food is all so bland... steak and cheese was bland... meat had little flavor, chicken pot pie was super bland as well. Love the atmosphere and wish the food matched.

We just ate there last week for the 2nd time in about 3 years. I don't understand the rave about the food. I had the Seafood Cannelloni and it was mediocre. It did not have a lot of flavor and the serving size was very small and no sides, not even a salad. My husband had the Prime Rib and he said it was okay, nothing to rave about. I doubt we will try this place again.

It's horrible Sysco frozen reheated food. Here's what we ordered:Our two appetizers: AhiTuna - this was tasteless and clearly a frozen pre-bought fish. Bland and not worth $17.00. The Buffalo Shrimp was a small, weird, pasty bowl of what they call shrimp - I would call it inedible. It was reheated and had a side of petrified carrots that were clearly about a month out of date. The bottom of the bowl was filled with bits of fried flakes - it's like they dumped the bag of frozen shrimp into the bowl and threw it in the microwave. Entrees: Wild Mushroom Risotto. This was a horrible dish of rubber mushrooms over glue-like rice with zero taste and some unpleasant cheese 'ish something that they tried to melt but couldn't. There was a topping of anemic, mushy, out-of-season tomatoes that were just like, WHY? It. Was. Awful. My husband had a Cobb salad and liked it. The fact that we paid for this hospital-inspired food was sad. The service was good - we sat in the bar area. The waitress never did ask us if we liked the food, I think she knew better. The light above our table was blinking the entire time. Just like you get at the hospital!
Be the first to ReplyI never ate at this restaurant before but ordered
I never ate at this restaurant before but ordered thanksgiving package from them because I've heard such good things about the food here. My family and I were very disappointed. Some family members have eaten at the restaurant before and were the ones recommending we get thanksgiving from here. Unfortunately, I will never order from here again. First, when I called to inquire about the thanksgiving menu the person who I was speaking with was not knowledgeable about the menu and wouldn't bother to check. It's poor error on their part too because the menu didn't specify details like listed ingredients. For example, one item was sweet potatoes au gratin so I asked to make sure if it had cheese in it and the employee said "I don't think so" and I said usually au gratin is a cheese sauce baked something in that fashion. When I picked up the food it was packaged poorly as they put the softer items on the bottom and heavier on top which resulted in some liquids spilling based on the arrangement they handed to me in the bag. Other restaurants strategically use a cardboard box for thanksgiving packages to avoid this and know to place heavier items on the bottom. I ordered the package for 4 people but it was enough portioned exactly for four small plates so the portions were very small and not generous. The taste is where we we're ultimately disappointed. Sweet potatoes just tasted mashed with lack of seasoning, just tasted of sweet mashed potato no flavor. Green beans were cheap canned ones, mashed potatoes were terrible just so dry and stuffing was gross. My family actually didn't eat much of the sides because it was so disappointing. The turkey was good but the ham quality was not very good and they put the marmalade already covered on the ham when I thought it would be served on the side. It was unfortunate to be disappointed in this meal when I had high expectations and it was very costly.
Be the first to ReplyWe had a girls lunch today at Tarrant's West.
Easy to make a reservation. The parking is challenging during the busy periods and we had to park on a entrance street which is inconvenient. We were seated right away. Our waitress was nice but seemed stretched thin. We didn't need much but the service could have been better. The food was excellent. We had three cheese ravioli a la vodka, pear and goat cheese salad, turkey blt. Everyone enjoyed their meal. A good restaurant for a relaxing and tasty meal!
Be the first to ReplyI very rarely give a 1 star review, but I unfortunately
I very rarely give a 1 star review, but I unfortunately have to here. We arrived at 11:30 on a Sunday with my 92 year old dad who uses a walker. At least half the restaurant was unoccupied. We were told the only seats available were at a high top table. Dad would not be able to sit there. We asked about the wait and the hostess told us she didn't know how long it would be. Didn't really seem to care either. Really Tarrents? You can't seat a handicapped person at an open low top table? Pitiful. We won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyWe had lunch here.
Had the steak cheese but was that flavorful no seasoning. Fried tomato sandwich was bland too.... Did liked the bread with the oil that was in pieces... but wasn't a fan of much else... inside did look alot better than the outside for sure

I came here twice in two weeks because their chicken pot pie was SO good. Sat at the bar both times, and had the same bartender. She was super sweet, attentive, and made the experience. They make a mean chocolate old fashioned, and I absolutely love the vibe of this place. Their cocktail prices are GREAT, and happy hour is even better. I think this will be a new go-to!
