Tam Tam Miami Reviews from The Last Year
Creative Vietnamese food that pleased us all
Excellent Vietnamese food with inventive twists in a casual setting downtown. Reasonable prices for what you get too. There are a few outside tables on the street but most are inside. Reservations were already about a week out, but the restaurant was just awarded a Bib Gourmand from Michelin (meaning excellent food at good value; it is not a star), so it will probably be even busier. Four of us ordered small items to share. We all loved the escarole dish, which I think was maybe roasted! But we also wolfed down the dragon shrimp crudo, the heaping lotus root salad, and the meaty salt and pepper frog legs (yes, they taste like chicken even here). The highlight was the 2-pound whole steamed fish, a branzino, which was oh-so-tender, with a fantastic light sauce. For dessert we shared the soursop pavlova, an exotic twist for this dish. It was nice to see a Riesling Spatlese wine by the glass, as well as an Alsatian Sylvaner. Even thought the restaurant was full, the music was mercifully not blasting, so conversation was easy. With our two charming servers, it was a very pleasurable evening.

Across the street from the country courthouse in a downtown area with fewer options, Tam Tam was a delicious dining experience. Mushrooms, steak tartar and the scallops were more inspired and experimental than traditional Vietnamese but they were each tasty and fresh. In the future I'll need to try the ribs lotus root salad and the escarole.
I have not been able to try the Vietnamese menu at Tam tam
I have not been able to try the Vietnamese menu at Tam tam but the menu for their Sunday pop-up Fratesi was great. The pizza was thin and crispy. They have very unique pizza options. We tried the Ashly which is the girl and boy demon (half and half) and the vodka pizza. I loved the Ashley because we got to taste the best of both worlds. The only problem is that since it is not a pizza parlor they do not have many ovens so it takes at least 20-25 mins to get your pizza. The place is cute. It has a different vibe. The servers are nice. The pizza size is good. The pie is pretty big. I want to come back to try their regular menu.

Worth the hype!! Located right across the street from government center station, Tam Tam is kind of inconspicuous. The decor is pretty stellar though restaurant is rather small so would recommend making a reservation well in advanced. We got the pork belly situation and goat curry, and wow spectacular. Def recommend pork belly situation! Meat was wonderfully tender and impeccable flavors. Goat curry was also great, though not a must. Highly recommend!

After seeing Tam Tam recommended as one of the hot new spots in Miami I had to try it for myself and it definitely did NOT disappoint! Upon walking in, you're greeted by friendly staff and cool, funky decor. The menu is mostly small plates with a few larger entrees. We tried the salted lemonade and jasmine iced tea to drink- both were yummy and refreshing. We ordered the mushrooms, wings, and pork belly situation to eat. The wings were some of the best I've tried, with an incredible crunchy coating and a sweet and savory sauce. The mushrooms were also fantastic. Somehow they were smoky, sweet, nutty and herby at the same time. The pork belly situation was also great and I liked being able to DIY my own bite. It was savory and fresh at the same time. Overall I was incredibly impressed and will definitely come back to Tam Tam. The food was some of the best Vietnamese I've had and the wings will likely live rent free in my head until I'm back. Make sure you go to the bathroom at the end of the back hall for a fun surprise when you visit!

Vietnami fuse style of food! Hooked up in a previous underground club...this Vietnami has all the flavor, spice, and chills that will blow your expectations beyond your paladar's comfort zone. Starting of course with their Tām Tām Wings dipped in fish caramel sauce! So crunchy, and crispy that will make you want to bite it till its bare bone. Accompanied also by the Shimeji mushrooms, with vong sauce and scallion oil that gathers at the bottom of the plate to form a buttery little lake. We literally ended up sipping the leftover sauce with a spoon. To wrap up the starters, we closed on a very high note with the Tamarind Glazed Pork Ribs, with plenty of meat to indulge your canines that will end up soaking the tamarind glaze. As a main dish we wrapped ourselves with the Pork Situation. It includes banh hoi noodles, cylinders of betel-wrapped lamb, some sliced vegetables, a spicy, nutty sauce, slices of Pinapple and lettuce to hug it all up. Not the best dish, so I suggest opting for another one. Finally we swirled our appetite with the curry lamb that was tender enough to shred with the tallarines. Even thought the starters were way better than the main strong dishes, we can highly add this Vietnami getaway in our MUST downtown cousine extravaganza. Service was on point, ambiance is pretty layback and even thought the starters were way better than the main strong dishes, we can highly add this Vietnami getaway in our MUST downtown cousine extravaganza.
Loved, loved the food AND the service.
You cannot go wrong going to Tam Tam! Every morsel we had was delish, those sticky chicken wings were awesome, our rabbit delectably delish, the noodle dish, vegetables, honestly everything we had was good!

Tam tam has become one of my favorite restaurants in Miami.
If you live here you already know finding a good (non-fusion) Asian restaurants is a rarity. They have a rotating menu so there will be new items every few weeks and the flavor profile of their dishes is diverse and amazing. Service is attentive and the vibe of the restaurant is more on the casual side, but also such a cute spot for dates or getting together with friends.

After hearing rave reviews about the wings from one of my favorite Miami blogs, I couldn't resist stopping by to try them out for myself. Let me tell you, the Tam Tam wings did not disappoint, especially with that unique fish sauce caramel they use - truly something special. Although takeout isn't typically an option, the manager kindly made an exception for me, which I greatly appreciated. The rest of the staff assisting me were also very friendly and accommodating. As for the ambiance, it exuded a laid-back vibe, and the decor was refreshingly different from the usual Miami glam. It felt cozy and inviting, almost transporting me to a different setting altogether. Plus, the menu looked incredibly intriguing, so I'm definitely planning to return and sample more of their offerings. One unexpected highlight was the bathroom, which featured karaoke - such a fun touch that added to the overall experience. Parking was a bit of a challenge, given its location in the heart of downtown, so I ended up opting for street parking. However, it was well worth it for the vibe and the delicious wings. All in all, I can't wait to come back for another visit.

We arrived at 10:31 pm and one of the servers said that they stopped services at 10:30 and they wouldn't seat us and we noticed many tables which haven't been served their food yet. Note that they close at 11 pm! Customer service here needs to be improved!

Loved it, some dishes are too salty though so if you don't like too much salt ask for dishes that aren't that salty. The papaya salad was amazing!

Very cool hipster kind of hole-in-the-wall spot with an eclectic and vibrant interior. Since we came in a group of four, we decided to get a few of the smaller and larger plates to share--Tam Tam wings, tamarind glazed pork ribs, grilled whole squid, and sizzling pork belly situation. The food all came out quickly and the service was excellent. I don't think we tried a single thing that we disliked, but the whole squid and the tamarind pork ribs were the standout dishes for me. The ribs were super tender and fall off the bone and the grilled squid was perfectly cooked and juicy. Squid, in my experience, is not a super forgiving food to cook, but this was done perfectly with both a nice charred complex flavor and juicy tender meat. Definitely will be coming back to this place next time I'm in Miami!

Came with a friend for dinner at 6:30 on a Thursday and the place was almost full but there were some open tables. Food was excellent across every dish. We had the chicken wings, ribs, broccoli rabe, and pork belly situation. It's definitely heavier on the dressing / flavor but in a good way. Service was friendly but it felt lightly staffed as it took a bit longer than usual to get our order in and food out.

Despite pouring rain outside when we went, Tam Tam provided warm shelter and incredibly delicious food in a nice you'd-want-to-dress-up-for-the-occasion-but-not-forced-to setting. Although one of our dishes never came out and service was a little slow, the epic makeup and flavors of each dish compels me to say that Miami's needed this restaurant. Everything is masterful yet not pretentious with some sprinkles of quirkiness. We ordered Steak Tartare, Crab Crackers, Soft Shell Crab, Tam Tam wings, pork ribs, quail, chocolate espresso pie. We would not hesitate to order any and all of these again. Making my next reservation right after I write this...

This was my first time trying Vietnamese food and I must say, it was a good experience. The restaurant had a great ambiance and what made it even more fun was the karaoke in the bathroom. The food was really tasty with its unique flavors. However, we had to wait for at least 40 minutes before we could be seated. When we finally got a table, the waiter informed us that their popular dishes were sold out so we had to order something else.

Good question. Currently the bidder will have to include the prepaid dinner price plus bid to secure the reservation. AT is currently working on an upcoming release where the prepaid amount and the bid amount are two separate transactions. Happy Bidding!
