Station 16 Sacramento Reviews from The Last Year
came back a little disappointed.
Ceviche was still good. Got the pasta but it was cold so i sent it back but instead of making a new one it reheated. Not sure if i was given a prior order that was seating since the rest of the food for the table came way after the pasta came. I'm not sure i'll be coming back for a while. Waitress was great but seldom came back to the table to check. Not won her since she got the whole bar too.
Great service and great food.
I had the lobster roll and apple pie a la mode based on the bartenders' recommendations and both were amazing. I also had a wedge salad and it was good too.
Delicious.
Finally got back here after about 6 years. The Trident is pricey but it comes with two lobster tails and a ton of shrimp. Can easily feed four people. Be prepared to get a little messy. Next time we will just get the crab and prawns, as it is really good as well and way more affordable. Service was great.
The hosts were fantastic, server was excellent.
Food came out fast. The music is great; the atmosphere is positive and nice. Back bar looks good. Only problem was the food. $136 poorer :/ The corn/scallop app had absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked scallops but the sauce it was in was watery and the corn on the cob was dry, chewy, seasoning free. The fried oysters were good, although we were surprised to receive spicy Rockefeller oysters. The wedge -- nearly inedible. The cilantro ranch is an odd choice; the tomatoes had all gone too far toward their great reward; the copious blanket of ham and thickly sliced onions and egg and cheese made the salad seem more like a Cobb than a wedge. The lettuce was nice and crisp, but I still let them clear away more than half. Can't say I would come here again, unfortunately, despite the very nice and professional staff.
It was my first time in so long having station 16 since
It was my first time in so long having station 16 since pre-covid. Our waitress was friendly, and even let me change my pasta order for my acid reflux ! The oysters were delicious!! Sweet and the sauce was prefect . The pasta was amazing! I subbed for Alfredo sauce because the red sauce doesn't fare well with my digestive system. The lobster and shrimp platter were good with the combo sauce but I think I'd much rather have it garlicy next time. The sangria was cute but also very good and not too sweet . We came in on all happy hour Monday to our surprise, and the sangria was one of the choices in the menu.
I had really high hopes for this place.
However, the service was not good. Our waitress did not listen, the deviled eggs were horrible. They brought me the wrong crab platter. The plaster was just crab, no corn anymore, no potatoes! This is the only time I had. Crab platter with nothing else. The steak was super salty and so was the shrimp. The only thing here decent was the calamari. I am Very disappointed that I wasted my money here.
I recently celebrated a friend's birthday dinner at Station
I recently celebrated a friend's birthday dinner at Station 16 in downtown Sacramento, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. Despite our large party of 18, the staff had the tables set up and ready for us by our 6pm reservation. The service throughout the evening was exemplary; our waitress was attentive and checked in frequently with the birthday girl. Understandably, with such a large group, some food arrived at different times, but it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the meal. When it came time to settle the bill, our waitress was incredibly helpful in separating out individual items. It's worth noting that there's a $20 cake cutting fee if you plan to bring your own cake. Additionally, parking was convenient with a lot right across the street; just be sure to download the app and pay for enough time. The updated decor added to the modern ambiance, and the drinks from the bar were simply delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend Station 16 for any occasion.
I had the worst experience of my life at this restaurant
I had the worst experience of my life at this restaurant last night!!! As someone who has been committed to sobriety for the past six months, my recent experience at station 16 was disappointing and concerning. Despite clearly ordering a non alcoholic drink they served me alcohol without hesitation, mind you I wasn't even carded. This lack of attention to my situation is not only irresponsible but also potentially harmful. The manager was not apologetic at all she came off like I was bothering her! It's essential for restaurants to respect their customers' choices and support their well-being, especially regarding sensitive matters like sobriety. I hope station 16 takes this feedback seriously and implements better protocols to prevent similar incidents in the future.
First time trying this place for Sunday Brunch.
The food was excellent. However, the service could be better. The restaurant was not busy the entire time we were there so there wasn't really an excuse to have to wait for our server to just take our drink order. When we would ask for something (condiments, straw, refill on a drink) it would take a while to get it - if we got it. We spent a lot of time waiting for small things. I would come back for the food. But will lower my expectations as far as the service. The ambiance was comfortable and the music was not loud. I hate going to restaurants where I can't even hear the person next to me.
The host, Andrew, was super smiley and kind.
Though after I sat down it did not seem like I was clearly assigned a Server, I had waited probably 15 minutes before a bartender took a drink order, and about 25 minutes until I placed a food order (which ended up being through the Host). Afterwards I suddenly got check ins from 3-4 different Staff Members. The bartender was very interested in finding a drink that matched my preferences, and very willing to share the kind of drinks that can be made. He even let me have a tasting of different spirits ahead of committing to an order. The tv's play all kinds of sporting events(I think it's the first time I spent focused time watching bull wrangling while watching gymnastics, while watching seated derby racing, while watching hockey), but the music is more like club/house. A really confusing vibe The drinks were nice and balanced, within what I would want. For food I ordered the shrimp ceviche and the pot stickers. The shrimp ceviche is cooked shrimp (I prefer raw and lime cooked but it was still good). The potstickers also paired well with the soy sauce mix on the side. After I had finished the check took around 15-20 minutes, and I sort of seemed to have been forgotten again. Very mixed experience.
First of many visits for brunch! I have been here a few
First of many visits for brunch! I have been here a few times and the vibe is always just right. It's a place where it could be packed but it's never loud. It's not too bright and there's a lot of natural light. It's a place you can go solo, with some friends, on a date, or with the family! I also recommend the happy hour!
Tried this place for the first time.
The food was good, the service was just slow. The server was also the bartender it looked like, which was surprising they'd staff that way for a brunch hour on a Sunday. I'd try again though!
I went to Station 16 on a Friday night.
I waited for an hour and half to be seated. The restaurant is located downtown so parking was a hassle. I ordered the lobster roll, it was a 5 out of 10. I've had better. The lobster roll cost $29. The fries were seasoned good and the drinks were good. This was my first time at Station 16. I wouldn't mind going back and giving it another try.
Had brunch at Station16 today.
It was our first time there and here is our experience. When we first walked in we noticed the floor was really dirty as was the seating in the waiting area. My husband said the men's room really smelled like urine and the floor was sticky. Ew. It took our waiter about 10 minutes to take our drink order at 11 am the coffee had just started brewing so it took another 15 min or so to get coffee and the saddest smallest $18 Bloody Mary. It took another 20 min or so for our Cajun oysters to come out, which were good but at this point we were not feeling it. Then our entrees came out. The sausage biscuits with gravy was so sad, completely cold and zero seasoning. The crab eggs Benedict was ok, but there was some slimy arugula, and it too was cold. We shared with our waiter that our entrees were cold and he said they were sitting for a while because the oysters took so long to come out. I also shared that the Bloody Mary was not the $18 one I have seen on social media, it was basically in a juice glass! So it was removed from the bill. Overall it was disappointing and for $100 for 2 people for brunch, we will not be back.
Amazing! Food was delicious.
My husband & I seen someome post about the food here & it definitely did not disappoint. The steak plate & the seafood platter was so good, actually everything was. Service was great & on top of it. Inside was super cute. I don't think I would have ever chosen this place had I not seen it on IG.
The food was good, but the service sucked!!!, they had us
The food was good, but the service sucked!!!, they had us sitting at the bar for at least 45min, then said we could not order our food until we all sat down at our tables, felt like we was playing mumusical chairs, then about time the food got to us it was also cold....So no i don't recommend this place to no one!!!
What a great place to celebrate my 69th Birthday! The
What a great place to celebrate my 69th Birthday! The service was top notch we had a wonderful waitress who suggested great dishes for us to try, the place was beautiful, great Atmosphere and every dish we tried was good and seasoned to perfection! We will be back!
Tried their new take on lobster roll.
I like the old recipe better. The bread is too thick. The lettuce, thick bread and sauce drowns out the lobster. Don't really taste it. That bread makes it a mess. Fries were good. The mangonada needs more mango flavor. It felt more like a shot of tequila. A touch of mango. Lime juice. Water and tajin. Service was okay.
The server was no where to be found.
The food took forever to come out. Like forever. Then to ask for check good luck with that. Once again she's no where to be found. Flagged down the hostess and she brought us the wrong check. So what happened that's right another hour to flag down our server just for her to get lost again. Mind u it wasn't busy at all like probably 6 tables out of like 20 they have. Got a salmon BLT. The bread was too small the salmon was huge and Kept falling out and it was just a mess. The Mac and cheese hellllla hellllla over season.
Where to start.
This restaurant is not your regular NO STAR restaurant, it's below. If you read their website, you'd think you're getting what you read. You have no idea... they reserve the right to "surprise" you, in any way they want. If you have a DAIRY allergy, DONT go. Apparently, EVERYTHING is mixed with butter, even the 'raw' seafood! Personally, I never heard of raw seafood platters "cooked" in butter, but we got a definitive COKED IN BUTTER from the waitress tonight. Needless to say she seemed bothered with the inquiries and completely clueless, I'm sure she never even went back to actually ask anyone whether dishes used butter or not. This restaurant caters to idiots and it's definitely not a quality place. It's a health hazard and a deceiving place. Please do yourself a favor and try a nicer place. If ratings says it's low, trust the ratings. I should've.
Never again, they’re lazy and lousy…
The service was terrible. I ordered my food online and I arrived after the time it was supposed to be ready. It wasn't ready when I got there and the lady from the bar was running around asking questions. She finally came to me and asked what I had ordered. I showed her my receipt. She left and came back after like 7 more minutes and let me know that it will be like 10 mins until my order was done. I asked if they just started on my order and she said yes. The worse customer service ever. She didn’t try to make up for their wrong doing or anything. She left me sitting at the bar for 20 mins and asked if I wanted a water. Crazy right? I know.. My food comes out and she hands it to me and tells me to have a goodnight… I’m irritated so I’m just like whatever. I’m really appalled at the lack of customer service here. Then I’m at my car sitting and a Asian lady, whose been eating at the bar for most of the night not assisting and just answering questions, came to my car with like 3-4 more people and said the tab wasn’t paid. I said okay, let me pay it but your employee said bye and goodnight so don’t try to make it like it’s my fault. Y’all dropped the ball tonight and the only thing you could do was come to my car disrespectfully about this bill. And I told her that she should be taking money off got the inconvenience but she didn’t want to hear that. She blamed the kitchen. I told her that is not my problem because it’s not. And I told her I would not be coming back. Too much money to spend on gold where people are rude and don’t know hot to correct their wrongs.
