Easter brunch in Mardavall
I can highly recommend Easter brunch at Mardavall. A wide selection including lobster, oysters, sushi, eggs Benedict, various roasts, desserts and a selection of cheeses. Very friendly and attentive service. A walk through the garden afterwards is a lovely way to end the meal.
Be the first to Replybest experience of life
Since I visited in the off-season, there weren't many people, so it was easy to use the resort facilities. Aside from the butlers Henry and Sabina and the max manager in charge of rental cars, all the staff are very friendly.
Be the first to ReplySimply TOP
We spent four nights here shortly after the season opened. The hotel is sensational, wonderful garden and top rooms. We weren't able to visit the equally great spa too much because of the nice weather, which is a shame. The location is ideal for excursions by rental car, you can be on the motorway in 5 minutes. We have rarely experienced such positive staff as at the St. Regis. We ate dinner in the hotel four times and were served warmly and professionally. Special thanks to Marina! High risk of repeating this!

In mid-November we celebrated my birthday in Mallorca and enjoyed the amenities of the hotel. Great setting at dinner, great service - and brilliant: we were able to have breakfast outside in the beautiful garden and later lay by the pool. A great, well-maintained complex! We immediately booked again for the Easter holidays in the new year and are looking forward to it! Thank you very much for the wonderful experience 🙏
Be the first to ReplyWonderful!
Incredibly friendly and courteous staff! The house is a bit old but clean and very well maintained. Your every wish is anticipated. There are lots of great attentions for babies. Delicious breakfast! Very nice location and great view!
Be the first to ReplyDated, giant hotel, terrible service.
This hotel is terrible. Giant, dated older Marriot-type hotel with St Regis prices. Do not come here. There is no beach access, service is slow and rude, food is honestly the worst I’ve had at a st Regis. The staff has no idea how to rectify service issues. The rooms are in need of a massive renovation. The hotel lobby looked like a cruise ship from the 1980s.
Be the first to ReplyAlmost raw chicken!!
Just at at the beautiful beachside restaurant and whilst the food was full of amazing flavours, I was very disappointed with our treatment. My chicken, though delicious, was really undercooked (almost raw in places)! The lights were dim and atmospheric, so I didn’t notice until near the end of my meal. When I pointed this out they said “sorry madam I will get you a fresh one!’” I didn’t want another as by this time I was full but I was shocked that when the bill arrived, they had charged me for the chicken!! There was no apology at all and it was only after I complained that they offered to take the price of the chicken dish off the bill. Very poor service which made me feel undervalued and unimportant. What a shame!!
Be the first to ReplyGreat luxurious stay.
The best, most luxurious, beautiful hotel. Excellent location and amenities, great big room with large balconies and great view. Has a really nice spa with different saunas.the front desk is very professional , special thanks to Rico for being so nice to me and my sister we had a great time and stay at your hotel. The food is great we tried all their restaurants and lounge bars and were not disappointed. My favorite is mare restaurant very good seafood restaurant. The Michelin restaurant on site is another experience. The concierge is very helpful. Special thanks to alessa for her help and knowledge. Rent a car on their premises which is an added convenience. You will need it while you are in Mallorca. I loved it their, will sure return when back in Mallorca.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent presentation and service but actual product poor
Coffee making needs some training as had to get mine replaced which was embarrassing as a guest of friends with whom the hotel came highly recommended Presentation excellent but no point if product lacking
Be the first to ReplyPass this up. There are far better options at far better prices. Marriott has killed this brand.
Give this place a pass. Beyond the fact that this is the farmed plain salmon from a personal chef of luxury resort we encountered a variety of failures and issues and a general incompetence and total lack of training on their own facility amongst the staff. The butler was energetic and friendly in a false, say our name back to us 18 times in 3 minutes way, and then both failed to deliver in the very small request we made at the start (honey for the tea to the room) and generally said she did not know in answer to almost any question and directed us to other staff who typically gave us the wrong answer. They failed to reconfirm our hard fought for reservation for our 30th anniversary sunset dinner across the island so after a half hour drive we were refused at the gate of the truly beautiful and luxurious Cap Rocat. This was eventually sorted after an hour wait but through the entire ordeal the only apology came from the manager of the restaurant at the Cap Rocat. Never our sub par hotel. Big. Sterile. Lack of attention to finish details. A sad state of affairs for a brand that sued to hold some prestige and clearly not appropriators to the cost (1-1.5k). and even just getting to the room is an ordeal as they managed to design the garage to Bosse t the hotel so you must go down then up then take and elevator. I have never needed anyone to show me to my room but here it was required. And long and inconvenient.
Be the first to ReplyMost amazing experience for family travel
I would highly recommend this hotel, especially if traveling with small (or big) children. This hotel was the most family-friendly and accommodating hotel and we are huge fans! Everything we needed was anticipated and accommodated for in supporting our family. From the moment we arrived to checking out, we received the most incredible service. During our stay, we received consistently amazing service from everyone. Huge call outs to Miri and Bastian at the kids club and Mariana at Terra who made us feel like we were family and provided such warm and exceptional experience. We can’t wait to come back!
Be the first to ReplyAn extraordinary stay at this resort
Writing this review honestly brings a smile to my face as we visited the St Regis Mardavall for the first time at the end of Sep to celebrate my partners birthday. From the moment we arrived until we left we felt well taken care of. It was such a relaxing, faultless stay and I highly recommend this hotel. Check-in started on the terrace with a cold glass of champagne and some water and accompaniments. After we proceeded to our room where our Butler showed us the room and resources available to us. Later at sundown the Butler brought some balloons for my partners birthday which was also along side some petit fours and a bottle of Champagne. We honestly couldn’t believe their generosity it was very well received! There was always plenty of room around the pool and complimentary water can be found everywhere. The food around the pool is good enough with the option to also dine at the Resturant where breakfast is served. Make sure you visit the Spa. There was one morning with less sun so we spent a lazy am there, but in fact it has a large indoor/ outdoor pool area with service so works as a good option. They have a suitable kids club with a small pool area. We came child free but I took a look and plenty of activities take place to keep the little ones occupied. The breakfast is to die for. Again your usual high standard of all the continental items and plenty made to order. I am a fan of pancakes and eggs Benedict which was all created to perfection. I didn’t want to mention any names because everyone is a standout member of the team in my humble opinion. Thanks Henry, you did always seem to be on Reception when we asked plenty of questions. They have an electric boat that can be hired for a romantic or family day. Also, why not take the bike down to Puerto Portals…I hired a bike for a few hours and it was lovely. The electric scooters are useable if you download the app to match. All pretty impressive. Don’t forget there is an electric car charger, so if you have a rental you are well looked after. If you have any other questions about the hotel I’d be happy to help. Instagram @travellingwithgem. Thank you Team Mardavall, you truly are the most luxurious resort on the island. See you again!
Be the first to ReplyGreat kids’ amenities, but mixed feelings otherwise
We stayed here with our two children for three nights at the end of September. The weather was still warm enough to use the pool, which was a nice three-level infinity pool. The location is absolutely beautiful; we walked down to the beach everyday. I am not sure if the dock is for use for guests, but we swam off the dock everyday and were never told otherwise. Not a lot of people seem to want to take the trek down to the rocky beach, but we really liked it. The room we were upgraded to was lovely, it would definitely have been over our budget to book that room outright at over $900/night (we booked the military leisure rate for $340/night, for a standard room). I knew this was the case, so I used suite night awards ahead of time to ensure we could have the family suite. Further to this… I think it was known that we were on a reduced rate because the level of service we got compared to others was vastly different! We saw our “butler” once when we arrived…and never again. I attempted to call three times during our stay for various needs and no one ever picked up the phone. Lol. I got a 50-min massage (140, not bad) at the spa on-site and the massage itself was great, but the spa seems like it could use a little renovation. In my experience, when you arrive you put on a robe, are offered a drink, wait in a quiet room, etc… but this wasn’t the case here. I got there and just went straight to the massage room and wasn’t offered any of the other spa amenities. It was a little odd and not a real “spa experience.” Some things that I loved about the resort is that the kids club is included in the room rates, and kids eat free breakfast, lunch and dinner. Breakfast is something like 8 AM to 11 AM, Lunch from 12 to 2, and dinner from 6 to 8. The food at the main restaurant, Aqua, wasn’t necessarily the best, I did expect more from the St. Regis… but hey, it’s always nice to have free kids meals! They also gave our children really nice goodie bags upon arrival, and kids sized robes, so that was a much appreciated touch. Overall, I think I expected more, we still had a good time, but I don’t feel the desire to return.
Be the first to ReplyNo sea view from pool, not a luxury hotel
Pros: lobby bar, nice welcome, spacious suite Cons: do not be fooled by the waterfront location. You cannot see the Sea from any of the pools due to the high shrubs. The pool experience was so bad we couldn’t last one day and instead left the property. There is a kid’s pool but the kids are at the main pool, loud, splashing and making it not a relaxing experience. There is NO service at the adult pool. Packing service from the butlers is a joke (a total disaster and unorganized). Property needs a major renovation. The most expensive trip we have ever done and my stomach still aches from the awful experience. If you are used to the great service and experience from most St. Regis’, Ritz Carlton’s, four seasons’, do not expect the same class here.
Be the first to ReplyMarriott property
Old hotel near Palma de Mallorca. Why facilities and amenities are definitely 5star, the location is not so good. This is more family place , noisy , with kid pools. You have no privacy at the area. Breakfast is good, but still lacks exclusivity. In general, you can find much better places in Mallorca for this amount,
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful and relaxing break
What a beautiful hotel. Spotless, stunning room and views. Beautiful gardens. Top class service. Nothing was too much trouble. Restaurants were beautifully appointed and food was fresh and delicious. Es Fum is an eating experience we will never forget. Will definitely be visiting again
Be the first to ReplyLovely hotel but with obvious drawbacks
Very attentive and polite staff. Nothing was too much trouble and it was lovely to be greeted with big smiles on everyone from the front door keepers, to the breakfast staff to the cleaners. However the entire hotel needs a facelift particularly the bathrooms that are now dated and dismal. We look forward to returning after the necessary renovations
Be the first to ReplyWonderful hotel
This hotel made our holiday, the service we received was one of the best we have ever experienced. I admit that some of the hotel is a little dated but we were happy to overlook this as it was so clean , and the staff are excellent. The bar is really beautiful, we enjoyed pre dinner drinks every evening and all the staff were friendly . Breakfast was excellent , a great choice of food for the whole family. The pool and the pool bar was also fantastic, food was amazing too, the service is incredible. We have already booked up for next summer and we’ll look forward to seeing the renovations.
Be the first to ReplyWould not go back
I stayed at the St. Regis for one night in August and was disappointed given the price tag that comes along with it. First of all, this hotel is in need of a massive renovation. The “20 year anniversary” sign hanging in the lobby almost mocks the decor and design of the resort that clearly has not been touched since 2002 and looks rather stale. It’s clear that minor enhancements to the rooms have been attempted such as new chairs or lighting, but it looks ridiculous next to decor that again, is clearly from 20 years ago (the desk, beds, armoire). The hallways also in need of a new paint job and the restaurant Aqua could use a spruce as well. One the hotel workers chatting with us mentioned that the resort was only half full- easy to see why. Simply not worth $1200 a night for one standard room. I will say the food at Aqua was wonderful and overall the service met expectations (other than a rather rude receptionist who checked us out and left quite a bad taste in our mouths). I won’t visit again until a renovation is done (or maybe ever?) - feels like they’re exploiting the St. Regis name to charge as much as possible while providing an overall average experience. Save your money!
