Great location, great service
Service all around (from check-in, valet, restaurant, bar, pool) was great. Ernesto was very knowledgeable and super helpful. Everyone was very friendly, room was clean, we had a king bed room with ocean view and it was a great view of the two pools and the ocean. A little noise at times from the hotel next door getting remodeled but only at daytime when mostly not in the room. The free loaner bikes were great to get some exercise on the ocean path. Fitness center was good enough. Breakfast options are good. Location is great, close to many restaurants and lounges, can walk to many of these. A few minor issues during our stay: one time it took about 30 minutes to get our car, valet had gotten the text request but they did not act on it right away, some of the pool towels that cover the pool lounge chairs are "tired", need new ones. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyLoved the hotel and the staff
I went there with my friends for my 70th birthday celebration and had a lovely stay. Our idea of a hotel room had to be adjusted for this Art Deco hotel but once we got over not having a closet per se, we were able to appreciate all that this hotel offers. Manager Victoria is very professional, she listened to our concerns and problem solved in a prompt manner. Concierge Fredrico guided us towards great restaurants, all his suggestions were fantastic. Our breakfast server Sebastian was wonderful and Nicholas our server at the beach was friendly and very helpful. Victoria and her staff made our trip and my birthday a memorable one. We loved this hotel and enjoyed the pool area and the closeness to the ocean and all the fun areas. Highly recommend it

The hotel was nice, the best part of our stay was the hotel staff. They were very attentive and welcoming, got us checked in early and a late check out as well as held our bags while waiting for our departure flight. The hotel room was pretty small and we did experience a few issues with our room but were helped in a timely manner. It's great that they offer beach umbrellas and chairs, and if you need additional ones you can pay for extra. The hotel is placed Ina good location that it allows you to walk around and rent bikes as well. We did not rent bikes from the hotel but rented the Citi bikes as they were more affordable and made sense. The location is pretty noisy but nothing a little TV or white.noise in your phone can't fix. Overall it was a good, but if you needed a larger room would definitely go elsewhere. Thanks !
Be the first to ReplyGreat fun place !
Nice Villa layout and design ! The service is great, staff very friendly, Sara the Bar tender is joyful and very caring. The pool party is very entertaining and good vibes. The live band yesterday night at Centra was great. I highly recommend SLS Miami South Beach !

The location is excellent, the food delicious, the staff was very friendly and always willing to provide the best experience and comfort to the guest. Great comfort and attention on the beach. The restaurants in the area offer a great variety.

We used the hotel valet service and they damaged the car. You would think an high end hotel would provide good service. After pointing out the damage to the vehicle they didn’t want to take any responsibility after months of back and forth. Horrible experience. I had to deal with the damage on my own. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

Location was great and the pool party / night party was great Rooms are pretty small but comfortable for a few days Need to clean the pools more Would recommend for a girls trip Concierge was really helpful and they have a car that will take you to dinner if close

The least enjoyable sun-pool-beach experience in my life. You can't escape the pounding, bad and vulgar music between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m, not even in the elevator up to your room. It was so loud and harsh that my wife and I became physically ill. This hotel caters to folks who can afford nice accomodations right on the beash but opens the doors to its gorunds and pool to hudreds of vulgar young and indulgant locals who party boisterously and vulgarly like there's no tomorrow. Any sense that you have beautiful tropical nature in your midst is comletely lost. Want a calm breakfast and conversation? Impossible! Stay away.
Be the first to ReplyTop notch customer service vs bigger hotels
Fernando top notch concierge in welcome back. Great service and hospitality all around. Outdoor bar/restaurant convenient. Perhaps some of the best fresh squeezed orange juice there is. Hyde beach is the best pool party on east coast. Would return for sure- no doubt vs other sobe options.
Be the first to ReplyYane is great
Yane is everything - best service ever - magic. Anticipates every need, fast, fun, incredibly sweet. She anticipated every need and was always delivering everything with a smile. She’s an incredible human being and makes the SLS special. Love her so much.

First time I ever go to this hotel and restaurant I live in Miami and never been in such a nice place and with such a good service in a restaurant katsuya ask for John if you ever wanted to eat something good
Be the first to ReplyIt is what it is
TBH, I would give it a 3.5 stars. The location is excellent - for the main Collins Ave drag as well as the beach. The pool is magic - both when it's quiet in the early AM to swim laps (saline) or when it's a full on party. The food on site is quite solid but pricey and the service is slow (but isn't that everywhere post-pandemic, when you're short on staff). The rooms are tiny but they are well appointed and the showers (water pressure) are excellent. You're not in SoBe to stay in your room anyways. Like some others have noted, the elevators were out of commission so it was stairs stairs stairs - which I was fine with as I'm trying to get in shape. The wifi was very strong and consistent. The local valet service was useful to go a couple of miles down the block for dinner drop off. Housekeeping was thorough. Yes, you will hear the beats and the bass at least until midnight but if you want restful sleep, this isn't really the place for you. The hotel could use more quiet spots as many digital nomads were trying to get some work done but there's not really a lot of good spots to do so - I saw a lot of people on laptops at the pool or at the outdoor dining restaurant. Ultimately, for a party spot, this is a solid option. For a work function, ehh, not so much.
Be the first to ReplyFirst Visit to Miami and to an SLS hotel
First time staying at a SLS hotel. Booked an ocean view king room, but was pleasantly upgraded to a villa. Was greeted with a Complimentary bottle of wine upon arrival. Villa overlooked pool which was livelier than a standard room would be, but suited us fine. Had a balcony which was an added bonus to be able to sit outside. Hotel overall had a really good vibe, nice areas to sit outside or dine inside. Staff were excellent, from arrival and taking the car, wait staff, bell hop. Used their car service one evening to go to south beach, which was very handy. Was an excellent experience from beginning to end and definitely look forward to returning there again.

I’m a return guest and love to call SLS South Beach my home away from home! This property is truly luxurious, sleek and trendy yet comfortable. The rooms are impeccable. The staff go above and beyond — huge thank you to Nick and LaDonna at the pool, Paola and Cierra at the beach! The food and beverage options are also not to be missed. We had delicious meals at Bazaar, Katsuya, and at the pool/ beach. It’s conveniently situated in the heart of South Beach, accessible to the best of Miami and closeby to restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies, etc. I’ve stayed at SLS South Beach tons of times and will continue to do so as there is nowhere I’d rather be when in Miami.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing experience!
The SLS South Beach was such a stylish, high end experience. Their staff is amazing truly going above and beyond for their guests. Especially Denise! Their food is delicious and the sangrias are 10/10. Will be back!
Be the first to ReplyA hotel for teenagers with lots of money
One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in Miami. If you want to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing holiday forget it! It caters for 20-30 years old people. Pool parties all day long that go throughout the night. No chairs available in the alternative pool. Minimalist rooms with windows that can not be opened. No desk. $50/night for valet parking. Very patronizing staff. 2 days with out-of-order lifts. A nightmare.
Be the first to ReplyVery tired and the elevators don't work
So my stay at the SLS was a bit of a catalog of errors. The SLS is in a beautiful Art Deco building from, I guess, the 1950s - but that comes some major drawbacks. I arrived on a Sunday just before 4pm. I was told that my room still wasn't ready, even though check-in was at 4pm. I was therefore put in another room that was ready. Room 402. There are two elevators in the hotel. One was broken and had a barrier in front of it. I waited for the other one. And waited. And waited. With about 12 other people. You see, there is no service elevator, so this one elevator has to serve 12 floors of rooms, and the basement, and all the cleaners and facilities and kitchen. So you ALWAYS have to wait about 10 minutes for it. And when you're waiting on the room floors, it doesn't say where the elevator is, so you just wait. And wait. And wait. Or you give up and take the stairs. Which are very narrow and dark and painted black, so you can't see them, so you might die. But after waiting for 10 minutes for a lift that never comes, it feels worth the risk. What they didn't tell me was that the room I had been put in, Room 402, was the smallest room in the hotel. So much for "King Deluxe", it was more like "King Closet". The bed basically took up the whole room. There was no wardrobe - a tiny hanging rail with room for one shirt. A small uncomfortable chair (whereas in the pictures there's a nice long sofa). And a tiny shower room. Oh and the sheets were nice but the pillows were all cheap artificial foam ones. Ugh. Honestly I was so claustrophobic that the next morning I rang to complain, and was told I could change rooms - but I would have to check out at 12.00, and then check back in again at 4pm. (and no, no refund or compensation for putting me in a cupboard). I couldn't stay in the room, so I took one of the nice pink bicycles round to Soho Beach house for the day and worked from there, returning at 12.00 to check out. Thankfully they were able to move me right away into my new room, room 1112 on the 11th floor. Unfortunately now NEITHER of the elevators was working. Yup, the one on the left was still broken (and by the way it was broken right through until I left the hotel the following Thursday), and now there was someone fixing the lift on the right as well. So I had to take those narrow stairs. Yup, 11 flights of stairs. There was a whole bunch of us climbing the stairs, and a bunch of people coming down the stairs, so it all got rather amusing. Nobody died, thankfully. My new room (1112) was better - small but just spacious enough you don't feel like you're going to suffocate, and at least there was a bit more hanging space, a sofa with a little space to work on, and a bigger bathroom. I still couldn't believe they'd put me in the cupboard room when I was paying $500 per night. But this was a nice room, If only the elevators worked. I got lots of glute work-outs going up and down those 11 flights of stairs. The other crazy thing is that when you take the stairs down to the Mezzanine floor, you either have to go down to a fire escape that brings you out to some weird alleyway behind the building (kind of scary) - OR you can barge into the hotel meeting space, which has nice stairs to the lobby. But those are the only options. As it happens, my company was using the meeting space for our offsite, so we were constantly interrupted by people who were fed up waiting for the elevators and the only way to the lobby was through our meeting room. As if the constant thud, thud, thud of the house music downstairs wasn't distracting enough... So if you're planning an offsite, look elsewhere. To summarise, if you like Art Deco buildings and have the patience of a saint and don't mind going up a dozen flights of stairs every time you leave something in your room, then this hotel isn't bad. The staff are friendly, the location is nice, the pool is great. But please, sort out the elevators... And if you get given room 402, politely suggest that you didn't come to Miami to stay in a prison cell.
Be the first to ReplyGood location … but a little run down
It is a nice place, stylish, interesting designs … but it should really get a special cleaning effort too to bottom. Housekeeping is not doing a great job in this respect across the building. Small rooms … as typical for these old buildings. But functional for one person, but a little stressful for two. Bathroom is super small … even in Deluxe King with Ocean View.
Be the first to ReplyBad experience overall
Bad experience overall. Rooms (Premier Ocean View Double) super small, definitely not fait selling these rooms for 2 adults and 2 children. Beds super small. Ok for kids but certainly not for adults. Level of service terrible for such hotel especially for breakfast. Beach services awful, not even existing. Overall over priced, very bad value for money in South Beach. Good mention though to restaurants services and food in the evenning, both Katsuya and Bazaars.
Be the first to ReplyFernando is Fantastic
