Long line, long wait for food especially since they have order pickup, but nice staff. Best cubano I've ever had. Chicharrones were very crispy and not oily. Flan was on the thick side and not soft/jiggly. Would definitely come back for the cubano!

We ordered the classic Cuban sandwich from here and I thought it was good (in particular the portions were huge, with a lot of meat and filling inside and one sandwich could easily feed two people in my opinion). However, I probably wouldn't wait in the very long line again as it wasn't significantly different than other Cuban sandwiches I've had before from the area. We did really enjoy our coffee milkshake which was excellent and a perfect compliment to the sandwiches on a sunny day. There is a very tiny plaza with a few parking spots in front which was jam packed. Thankfully we found a parallel parking spot nearby and walked from a few blocks down the street.

We ordered the beef sandwich, which is their second-best seller after the Cuban sandwich. I really enjoyed my sandwich because it had a lot of meat and cheese. The green sauce was also delicious. We also ordered croquettes, which were really tasty. They come in pairs. . We also tried their sweet potato fries, which is the only fries option they have. However, I think they were overcooked. When I told the staff, they said that was how they were supposed to be. But they were kind enough to make me a new batch that was less burnt, and I appreciate their great service. I went there in the afternoon because there's usually a long line out the door, but the turnaround time is pretty quick, and we got a seat. I wish I had ordered the Cuban sandwich, but I'll save that for my next trip."

Tried the Cuban because I was looking for the best Cuban sandwich in all of Miami and boy did this deliver. Everything, from the bread to the meat to the mustard was absolutely outstanding. Also did the pan con bistec which, again, incredible. Flavorful, savory, just an outstanding sandwich. Portion size was solid and a good value for the money. Sanguich offers a walkup window and indoor dining, so don't necessarily be fooled by the line outside. If you want to get it to go, you can generally get it quicker if you just do walkup versus waiting for a seat. I can't speak to the ambiance inside specifically, however the staff was very friendly and wait times were not all that bad. Really enjoyed this place, and will definitely be returning.

One of my favourite restaurants around town.

The croqueta preparada was to die for! Definitely will be back & strongly recommend! Service was fast & served with a big smile. Ambiance is great! Maybe need to expand the spot & make it a lil more welcoming room instead of peeps standing indoors & outdoors in a big line.

This was our favorite Cuban Sandwich, we tried in Florida! The store was busy, the three of us sat at the bar and had a great view of the kitchen, where the sandwiches are made. The atmosphere was nice, We tried a traditional Cuban sandwich and a croquette sandwich as well! They were both perfect!
Be the first to ReplyIn my opinion the perfect Cuban sandwich! Perfectly pressed
In my opinion the perfect Cuban sandwich! Perfectly pressed bread with the freshest cuts of meats. Usually I would say pickles are pickles but these pickles alone are on a different level of fresh crunchy and would say homemade. Great service, great ambiance and right on Calle Ocho in Little Havana!
Be the first to ReplyI want to go back to Miami so I can have this sandwich.
It is the best Cuban I ever had. It's the perfect combination - the pickles are made in house, pork is juicy and flavorful, and the bread has the perfect crunch. A friend had the pan con lechón and it was amazing as well! Loved the coffee too. I can't wait to come back here.

When we got to the restaurant, there was a short line for takeout and for dine in. We waited about 40 min to place an order and another 20 min to get our food. Overall a pretty inefficient process as there wasn't too many people in line. We got the Cuban sandwiches and two ham croquettes which were both delicious. The ratio of bread, meat, and cheese was perfect and the flavors were not too overwhelming. Would come back and dine-in to try their other food!

This has been on 'my list' for years so finally we planned a day trip to Miami and made it a point to stop here for lunch. We parked on the street but there is a small parking lot for the plaza. We knew we were there when we saw the line at the take out window. We opted to sit inside, there were 7 2-seater tables and 9 seats at the counter. We lucked out and got a table. Although our order took a little while, overall, the tables and chairs turned over quickly. You order at the counter then they bring your order to you. I couldn't figure how they knew who to deliver the orders to as they didn't ask our name, nor did we have a number on our table, but they got it right, thankfully because I was really looking forward to my Cuban sandwich. There were at least 10 employees working behind the counter. It was truly like a well choreographed symphony, watching them all complete their tasks. The atmosphere is truly Cuban, a Gloria Estefan song played over the speakers when we were there. Our order included a Cubano, a Sanguich de Miami and an order of the plantain fries. I am a plantain purist and prefer them prepared the traditional way but that didn't stop us from finishing our order. The 3 dipping sauces served with the fries were all delicious. Our plantains were served quickly we ate them all before we got our sandwiches. The sandwiches were served warmed and pressed. The bread was more crispy than I like but obviously fresh. All ingredients were fresh. We both brought 1/2 home. All the employees were friendly and appear committed to servicing all guests When on Calle Ocho give Sanguich a try!

Drove down 45 min to a friends house 2 blocks from this restaurant and tried ordering on line several times due to the parking restrictions and was unable to place an online order. I tried calling and no one answered. Called multiple times no answer. I was very disappointed of the lack of attention to take out orders. Won't be back.

I heard from numerous sources that this is the place to get a "REAL" Cuban sandwich. We went there late on Saturday afternoon 45 minutes before they closed at 6 pm and saw a window and a door. The line for eating inside was longer than the pickup counter line, so we decided to get the sandwiches to go. We started talking to some of the people waiting for their sandwiches and learned that they were not taking orders at the window and that we needed a special app to order. Some of the people waiting for their food were waiting for almost an hour. It seemed like the employees, friends, or locals were getting served, and the "tourists" were waiting and waiting and waiting...... The whole mess was completely unorganized. No signs or guidance from anyone. The worst part was that the employees ignored any questions and only talked in Spanish to the people you could tell they knew. We tried to order with the app, but it seemed like the site was shut off 30 minutes before closing without notice. We decided to go somewhere else because we were so disgusted by the way everyone except locals were treated. This place is located in a dirty trash filled strip mall. The employees acted like they were giving away steak and lobster instead of a high-priced glorified ham sandwich. When we left, the people we met when we arrived were still trying to get an employees attention to get a refund so they could go somewhere else. There are a few delicious alternatives down the street in a better part of Little Havana. However, if you like being ignored by arrogant employees and you enjoy standing at a window for an hour or more, try this dump.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a surprise.
A "sandwich" shop in a strip mall on Calle Ocho. But it's a high end specialized restaurant with marble tables, brass handles, seating about 10 at the bar and maybe 12 at 6 2-person tables. A high end sandwich shop. Menu is perfect. Have appetizers, a few sandwich, batidos/smoothies, coffees and a few desserts. By 10 am there was a line out the door. We ordered two Cuban sandwiches and a sandwich Miami to go. I'd go back!
Be the first to ReplyI don't know why I thought Sanguich would have a local deli
I don't know why I thought Sanguich would have a local deli vibe, I did not expect it to be the high-end classy sandwich place that it is so it was a nice surprise. Came on a weekday lunch and there was already a huge line out of the door. It's kind of confusing to know where to order so here it goes: If you're ordering take out, you order at the big window (yes there's no menu or prices), and if you're sitting inside you actually go into the restaurant and order at the counter.I ordered the Sanguich Cubano (waited around 20-25 minutes) and the flavors really surprised me. I thought it would taste kind of like a Monte Cristo but I was pleasantly surprised with the mustard as it added a lot of complexity to the sandwich. I was also a bit worried that I might feel kind of hungry later, but the sandwich was huge and honestly just half of it could be one full meal as they really pack the meat into the sandwich. I appreciate the slightly crispier outer edges of the bread and the warm insides. Also, I ate this on the beach which was such a dream, would highly recommend.Overall, not a bad sandwich at all. Would definitely come back, earlier this time (before 11am) and order them to-go as the sit-down line seemed to extend pretty far. Sandwiches and beaches, name a better combination?

Little hole in the wall shop on 8th street that has the cutest decoration! It only seats maybe like 10 people it is very tight. But you can order through the window however it is was still a bit of a wait for a sandwich on a Saturday. Of course this place is busy because it has been Michelin recommended. We ordered through the window and had to wait 20-30mins for our orders. I ordered 2 sandwiches: pan con lechon and the pan con bistec. The lechon was delicious! It was moist flavorful and the touch of pickled red onion really tied it together. The pan con bistec, on the other hand, was dry and very plain. The lechon did hold up well for reheating later on. The bistec I couldn't even finish because it was so dry and when reheated it was worse. This place is good to try and experience but is it the best in Miami? No.The Butcher Shop on US 1 wins in the best pan con lechon! Price, flavor, and convenience.

Yes there was a line but it was worth the wait! The cuban coffee was incredible! I thought Italian Esspresso was delicious but that was the best coffee ever! The croquettes were eh but the Cubano and the Bistec sandwiches were amazing! REALLY loved that all the tables had plugs as well as USB charging ports.

Wait in the line, order for pick up, just get it! Sanguich is one of my must stop places while I'm in Miami. First off, what a great name! Second of all, the COFFEEEEEE - La Rosita is basically an iced cafe con leche with caramel syrup. As an iced coffee drinker, I can appreciate a cuban sandwich place having iced coffee and not responding "this is not starbucks" when I ask about it. Lastly and most importantly, the food... wow. If you are dining in the vibes are great. Its a cute little spot with a great wallpaper, and homey feeling. I recommend ordering the cuban nachos while you wait for sandwiches if you're dining in. They are thin/long plantain chips with pork, aioli and pickled onions. Basically, flavorful nachos but they won't travel well if you order to go or pick up. You can also never for wrong with some croquettas! Now for the sandwiches, El Cubano is a classic. Of course, it's a cuban sandwich with your usual ingredients but the pork has amazing flavor and you can order extra mojo to go with it. Running up, is the pan con lechon. I love a good pan con lechon but sanguich add this garlic aioli that is to die for! They also make some unique sandwiches like the Croqueta Preparada. It's basically a sandwich with a croqueta inside. If you are in the area, stop by. Don't second guess the stop or the wait - it's worth it!

It's such a cute little place! This time the word is OUT. There was a line when we got there at 11:30 and an even longer line when we left at 12:30. We ordered cafe latte but asked for no sugar. It usually comes sweetened. I know a lot of my friends would prefer that. We shared a PAN CON BISTEC and CROQUETA PREPARADA. They were both good but we loved the pan con bistec best.

We got in at around 3:45 PM on a Thursday to try out an authentic cubano. We didn't wait at all and most of the few tables they had were open. The service was quick and it was nice to see that the employees all seemed close with each other. We ordered the chicharrones, Cubano, and croquetta. Chicharrones were so crunchy and delightful and was a very good portion. The cubano had a thin bread that was lightly crunchy-- I've never had anything like this! It felt like a sandwich with bread crackers sandwiching the meat cheese and pickles. Sooo delicious and definitely one of the best sandwiches I've had. I will say the cubano and croquetta were slightly similar but both equally delicious. The ambiance was cute inside and felt very vintage and small and cozy. We felt that it was pretty far from where we were staying (south beach) but worth the trip.

Food....Too much Hype and not enough flavor....these sandwiches did not live up to the reviews....let's start with service....do to the fact that this place is small we ended up ordering out....after making our order with smiles, our take out bill was over $100 dollars for 5 sandwiches 1coke, 2 mango smoothies and some other smoothie...to me for that price I was expecting a better tasting sandwich....But anyway when paying the handheld credit card reader indicated if I wanted to leave an 18% tip which was over $20 dollars? I was like what and declined...here is the typical Miami experience on the tourist spots areas etc....they automatically add an 18% gratuity to your bill and that's fine if I am sitting at a restaurant....but this was take out.....and so this woman took it upon herself to signal no tip and had us wait exactly 41 minutes for this take out.....SMFH....and it probably would have gone longer if not for myself to approach the window and ask how long for 5 sandwich's...totally ridiculous.....but anyways I was still waiting expecting a great tasting sandwich but was let down by the dry over toasted bread the meat which completely salty and tasted more like left overs.....so this was my opinion on my sandwich as for my party of 4 that were with me, it was not a great Cuban and even the mango smoothie had no taste...better food and better service at the Old Havana restaurant.....so take my review how ever you like.....but this was my first and last time I visit this place..... on a rating from 1-10 I give this a 0......
Be the first to ReplyThis is simply an "oh my god" sandwich experience.
The Cubano is the best I've ever had. All ingredients made in-house, including the sandwich bread. Definitely go out of your way to go here. But get there late morning or you'll be waiting a bit. They serve roughly 600 sandwiches a day.

During this Miami trip, I tried Cuban sandwiches at two places- Sanguich and Versailles, and hands down this place came up on top.Now let's be clear, a Cuban sandwich is a simple thing- roast pork, ham, cheese, pickles, and mustard. So it's only going to get so good. But the execution here was magnificent. The bread was perfectly toasted with excellent crunch. The meat was juicy (no dry meat here like at *cough* Versailles) and the cheese pull rivaled that of any grilled cheese you might see on the gram. The pickles and mustard added the perfect tang to cut through the richness without making the whole affair soggy.Simplicity is a beautiful thing sometimes. We did have to wait 30 minutes for it (order ahead!), but I'm mighty glad we did.

The service was good, the girl at the window who took my order was nice but it took like 30 mins to get one sandwich. The parking was good because it was a Sunday and all the other stores were closed. Didn't sit down to eat but it looked packed inside. I had the pan con bistec and did not like it. The red mojo sauce tasted strange to me. The meat was good not dry or anything. Would have liked a side of French fries but the only have sweet potato fries.

cubaNO way i could leave Miami without trying its most popular cubano?+big portions, good for sharing. we got 2 sandwiches and croquettes for 4 people!+banana batido is so fragrant! it looked like they were using fresh banana puree?+counter seating was fun, we got to watch all the prep+cubano was better than the pan con lechon in my opinion (latter was kinda dry), but take it with a grain of salt. this was my first cubano :D(-) queuing is a little confusing because they basically follow the honor system. make sure you go inside, let them know you want a table, and remember who lined up before/after you. (-) the girl taking orders was serving a bit of attitude to first-timers :/ (-) small joint, so there's always a line/wait. if you don't care to eat there, order to go online! (-) I don't recommend for parties larger than 4. also not a place to catch up with friends. definitely an eat-and-go situation. MISC:- seemed like there was a good mix of tourists and regulars there, so seems legit?- you can ask for more of the white sauce/spread(?) on the side. we followed a couple regulars' lead on that one, and I'm glad we did! - they have their own hot sauce you can ask for, too. it's not too spicy, but adds a nice, slightly sour element to the sandwiches. - bathroom looks newly renovated. really clean and they have fun wallpaper lol
