We ate here three times in eight days! Make a reservation the day before for a table outside. This was the least touristy restaurant we found in Minori. Fell in love with our waiter, an older gentleman who was a real pro. We feasted! Mixed fried fish - enough to feed the neighborhood - for antipasto. Beautiful homemade pasta ribbons with mixed seafood in a red sauce - to die for. Everything delicious, although one night the secondi - steak and veal scallops - were not seasoned properly. Finish with shot glasses of ice cold limoncello for the table.
Be the first to ReplyLovely setting and very busy for a Tuesday night.
We seemed to win the heart of our grumpy server who finally smiled especially when a cat ran in with a pigeon in it's mouth. Oh, and yummy food. We had lots of things: raw fish antipasti, melon with ham, caprese salad, scampi, pizza, ice cream (in a cocoa-covered ball with vanilla ice cream in the center. Excellent choice.

Hidden gem! I must've passed this place a few times before noticing it during my stay in Minori, but I'm glad I finally got to try it before leaving. I had the fried seafood mix and it was one of my favorite meals throughout this trip. The seafood was so incredibly fresh and plentiful it could easily be shared between two people along with an appetizer. It had two small snappers, sardines, calamari, and prawns. All very lightly fried and super flavorful yet but fishy. I also had the house red, and white wines and they were fantastic. Had I had more time in Minori I would've definitely gone back to this place. 10/10

Be the first to ReplyThe server looked right at us and ignored us.
We stood there for five minutes waiting for someone to help us get a table and they never did. Certainly aggressively fighting off English speaking tourists. Fine. We went out and got a spectacular dinner at Giardiniello.

Great restaurant! It was recommended to us by Joyce who we met and has been coming to Minori for years. In the 8 days here it was the best meal. The fried calamari was very fresh and very tender which we had as an appetizer. My husband had the lemon crema chicken and I had the grilled fish of the day which were both delicious. Going back before we leave.
Be the first to ReplyWe arrived shortly after it opened for lunch.
We ordered a caprese salad, which came with bruschetta. Both were good. This place relies heavily on seafood, so, if you aren't hip to it, your options are limited. My gnocchi were just okay. My wife's seafood pasta (fusilli) were clearly homemade with a sauce that was a bit bland. I'm pretty sure our bottle of water we requested was tap water in a used bottle (common tourist trick). Better to order sparkling water to be sure. The service was adequate, if unenthusiastic. In general, this place was my third instance of such treatment in a town that is spoiled by tourist dollars and now seems to resent the hand that feeds it.
Be the first to ReplyA perfect little Italian ristorante in a hidden location.
We asked some kids (one was the owner's nephew) how to get there & they delivered us there. Without them it would have taken a lot longer. Come to find out, the chef owns Casa Maria Torre where we are staying. Try the pizza, gnocchi, clam & mussels, caprese salad, or wing it - everything looked good.

In a tiny village in Italy and I need a restaurant. Found la botte on Yelp and it was great . Wonderful light gnocchi , fresh swordfish and lovely zucchini with a nice local ( up the hill local ) white wine. Thank you Yelp community .
Be the first to ReplyOk so this was my first real Italian meal.
Great way to start. The restaurant was bright and clean. Nothing fancy and nothing to write home about. I believe it was the owner who served us and he was pleasant even though his English was minimal. The menu was in both Italians and English so pointing was fine. The bread was virtually cut on site and fresh (but not warm). Nothing to go with the bread (ie butter, oil, plates). The gnocchi was delicious and more than plentiful. The dumpling were very good. The sauce was to die for. Real italian sauce is what it all about.Decor 3, service (with a language barrier) 3.5, food 5.Only real downside was that pizzas are not served at lunch.
