Excellent food and service.
Excellent food and service. Only it is without air-con, partially the tables & chairs were placed outside of the shop but there was a cosy atmosphere overall. My favourite is their Hokkien Noodles and the the Hakka Yong Tau Foo. We also had salted eggs bitter-gourd, fish in yam steamboat and steamed chicken dish. Overall food is delicious and would highly recommend this place in Bukit Indah.

We came here from Puteri harbour for dinner as my husband is a typical Chinese that needed Chinese food and we couldn’t find any at Puteri harbour. They have 6 signature dishes on menu. As someone from KL, we didn’t think that the chicken and Hokkien mee would be worth trying. So we ordered the bitter gout fry with salted egg, Yong tou fu and the teow chew fish head pot. The salted egg butter gout felt strange as they added in big garlic and dried shrimp. The soup for the fish pot was good, but there wasn’t much meat inside. There were more yam than meat in it. So if you are a seafood lover, suggest you add more fish. The Yong tou fu had the home cook taste which was good. It was overall a not a bad choice on a rainy day night.

We had the hokkien mee, yam & fish head soup, bitter gourd with egg, vegetable and century egg soup, and farm chicken. It was fantastic. Then LCM brought musang king for dessert. Such a local delights extravaganza! Service initially slow then everything suddenly arrived. Kerr pow 💥 to the taste buds.

All of their signature dishes are awesome. They have just upgraded their ordering system whereby you can place your order through your handphone.
Be the first to ReplyYong Tau Foo and Fish Head with Yam
Yong Tau Foo and the fish head cook with yam is always the main dishes we ordered apart from the hokkien mee.

Don't expect fast service because the restaurant is almost always packed near regular dinner time (7.00pm to 8.30pm). They don't have dedicated parking space so it's free for all on the road right outside the restaurant. Ask the order captain on what their specialties are. Our bill came up to about MYR17/pax.

We went to the outlet in Mt Austin. It was crowded at lunch time but a couple of spare tables were pulled out when more customers arrived. We ordered the free range kampung chicken, bitter gourd with salted egg, KL Hokkien noodle and Yong Taufu. The chicken were tender and flavorful while the bitter gourd with fried with salted egg till little moisture left. Some in the group likes it drier while I prefer otherwise. The Hokkien noodle was very good with the extra lard which was fresh. The YTF was much better than I had expected, in fact probably quite a star in its own. Unfortunately the fish lips are unavailable and look forward to ordering it next. Excellent outfit and very happy with this new find.
Be the first to ReplyYou Wanna Fish Lips?
In JB Bukit Indah there is this restaurant that serves Fish Lips with 1 or 2 fish eyes. YUKs? No, delicious, all the cartilage, collagen, ( smack lips). Normally don't like black hokkien mee malaysian style but this one tasted good. Some restaurants have all bad food, some have few good and most bad and some everything good. I would say this is most good. Everybody seems to be eating these 5 dishes, Fish lips, Hokkien Mee, Kampong Chicken, Bitter Gourd, and 1 more couldn't recall. For RM135. Fair price I would say. If you love fish lips and eyes ... don't miss this place.....

My boyfriend and I visited the Bukit Indah branch on a weekday evening. It wasn't busy and the dishes were served quickly. We two gluttons ordered (and finished every morsel): KL hokkien noodles Fried bittergourd with salted egg Kampung chicken Braised Yong Tau Foo Sour plum and lime drinks All were delicious and very affordable. We paid about SGD20 for the lot. Location is not very accessible if you don't drive but Grab can get you there.
