Pizzeria Griglieria Su Cursu Oliena Reviews from The Last Year
Experience Hotel is an excellent choice for travelers who will be moving from the northern to the southern part of the island
Initially we planned to stay on the coast, but on the recommendation of our guide we booked this hotel and did not regret it. This authentic hotel is located in the heart of the island with magnificent views and natural surroundings. The rooms here are clean, cozy, original and very comfortable, equipped with everything you need for a pleasant stay. The professionalism of the hotel staff deserves special mention - they are always ready to help with any questions, providing a high level of service. A wide selection of dishes for dinner will delight gourmets. We recommend choosing accommodation with breakfast + dinner - you only pay for drinks and save on the choice of dishes. The local wines here are simply incomparable - be sure to try them! Wi-Fi provides a stable connection and works great. Among my wishes, I would like to note the need for more signs, since the hotel is quite extensive, and at first we even got a little lost. Overall, everything is great! We recommend Experience Hotel for those who value comfort, originality, natural beauty and good service!
Average and disappointing
Disappointing for the high price. Perfect welcome and beautiful room in the main building. But very old and frayed bathrobe, chipped dishes at breakfast and above all: 1) unkept outdoor common areas including pool area 2) an absurdly pantagruelian half-board dinner, presented as typical, but frankly not very good, including meats grilled in the fireplace. In short, not good value for money in my opinion.
Very nice experience
Magnificent hotel made up of multiple small buildings perfectly integrated into the vegetation, with numerous pieces of art by the owner. Comfortable rooms and good cuisine, very welcoming staff. Nuragic site to visit a few kilometers away.
Good but not perfect
The hotel is unique for sure and you can read all that on other reviews. Maybe because it was off season… not as many experiences available. Dinner in the restaurant was just ok. Staff was not that friendly except for the front desk who doubled as check in check out and booked Tours. There did not seem to be a dedicated concierge desk. This place is popular with the active senior crowd.
Magical Place!
This place is a really magical rustic resort. It's built into the hillside, every nook and cranny has been designed. It feels as though you are in a tiny art village. The owner has added her artist touch to the hotel. Each room is dedicated to a different artist and no two are alike. You can feel the Sardinian culture and they offer many opportunities for experiences to dive deeper into the local culture. We were able to hike in the valley and have lunch with a local Shepard, and learn how to make pasta. They offer a number of dining options and the food was incredible! The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
A magic
A magic colors light flavors fauna vegetation sea relaxation what we needed after our very difficult moment. Peace, tranquility, professionalism, love, attention to detail, cleanliness of the fantastic pool, very kind staff, the wonderful hostess
Fabulous place
We stayed here for two nights and we wished it could have been more. The property and the grounds are very attractive. Sardinian art is displayed all through out the hotel. Our room was not big, but comfortable and we had a small balcony. There are multiple common areas to congregate or just relax. We loved the rooftop bar with nice countryside and mountain views. The hotel must of have been built in phases, as there are a number of different buildings, so it was a bit confusing to navigate. We also ate both nights in the hotel restaurant and the food was exceptional. There were plenty of traditional Sardinian dishes on the menu. The breakfasts were also good.
A spoon of tar in a barrel of honey
6 years ago, when I was here for the first time, the hotel and the restaurant made a stunning impression on me. That's why I decided to use their services again. While the place itself still captivates with its unique beauty, something terrible has happened to the hotel cuisine. For dinner, I ordered the flagship Sardinian meat, i.e. kid in fennel sauce. Unfortunately, the dish turned out to be a total mess. Basically, I gave the waitress what I received, because the bones covered with meat remnants were simply impossible to peel with a knife and fork (the cutlery slipped off the bones, and the latter, as we know, is not eaten). For the first time in my life, I complained about a dish because, despite the course of the dinner, the waitress did not notice that it was inedible. Ultimately, the complaint was accepted and I ate a very average orecchiette. However, the conditions in the hotel are still perfect, the staff goes out of their way to ensure maximum comfort for the guests, which neutralized the aftertaste of dinner.
Reject room 78
The hotel has already been described in many pictures in brochures and travel magazines. It is definitely a special and colorful place where nature and architecture come together. Unfortunately, we were given room 78, which gets practically no daylight. This is fine for sleeping, but if you want to use the room during the day, you can only do so with artificial light. The corresponding feedback when paying for the room was then presented as our problem. We could have asked for a different room - room 78 would then have gone to someone else. But the reception preferred to throw themselves into other work and forego saying goodbye. It's a shame for the place.
At 50%
Classic ROOM: I have never found pillows so hard. Very noisy air conditioning motor, all afternoon and evening the air conditioning remained on but the room never cooled down, so we opened the windows, unfortunately the kitchen extraction towers (I think they were those) turned off after 1am😲 so we slept with the windows open, (luckily the nights in September are not as humid as August) ; The telephone in the room was isolated (the telephone does not suddenly isolate itself, certainly the problem remained in the list of maintenance to be done, but the problem was not solved and they did not intervene, perhaps the employee had already removed? RESTAURANT: the meal took place in a beautiful restaurant on the veranda, with a wonderful view of the swimming pool, with a beautiful panorama of the local Sardinian countryside, beautiful light, beautiful colours, well furnished as befits a restaurant of that structure, as is also the case of the internal restaurant, more wintery, full of very interesting Sardinian furnishings. As for the menu, as a good Sardinian that I am, I can say that I have seen better, the dishes did not amaze me either in terms of taste or presentation, I would have eaten better in any other trattoria in Oliena or in the neighboring villages . The location, however, greatly reflects the artistic taste of the owner, attentive to detail, who brings out the spirit of Sardinia with the colours, the astonishing garden and above all with the splendid and wonderful furnishings. My gaze, my sight, was the only satisfied sense.
Truly was an Experience
Stayed for three nights in one of the cottages near the art shop. Our room was spacious, well equipped and even had an outdoor bath in our little garden. The decor was tastefully Sardinian and had coffee and tea facilities. We ate all three nights in the hotel, the first night in the “Bread Nest” where our tasting menu was prepared and cooked by two ladies using a wood fired oven. All courses had a bread base and were delicious. We ate in the main restaurant the second night and had the amazing suckling pig. On our last night we tried the vegetarian tasting menu sat in the vegetable garden. During both tasting menu nights the food just kept coming and a carafe of wine and bottles of water were included. All of our meals were very good value for money. Breakfast was ample with plenty of choice. The pool area was very pleasant to relax in and has a bar area close by. The Magico Tablao bar was very stylish, had a great atmosphere and served amazing cocktails and also three different excellent craft beers ( bottled). All staff were friendly helpful and professional. It is worth just wandering around the hotel to see all the different areas where works of art have been tastefully placed. We could find no fault with hotel at all and would thoroughly recommend it.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
