PizZando Healdsburg Reviews from The Last Year
A coworker of ours suggested Pizzando for lunch and not
A coworker of ours suggested Pizzando for lunch and not knowing where it was located I typed it into my GPS. Once I arrived I realized I had walked by this restaurant a million times unknowingly. We came by on a Thursday with a group of 5 after a spa day. No reservations were needed, we were sat within minutes of arriving, the restaurant is modern although I found the space felt limited. The open window concept allowed for lots of natural light while we sat indoors and people watched. Outdoor seating looked lovely but weather was not permitting on this day. We ordered numerous apps, entrees and pizzas. And of course, a round of drinks (or three). At the end of lunch we wanted to try the gelato but were told the machine had been down for a few months which was a bummer. For entree I had the lobster cannoli, I had a few bites and took the rest home as I was full from all the apps. I reheated my left overs at home and found it to be even better reheated than at the restaurant! Overall I give Pizzando a 8/10. It is a great lunch spot with prime location. I'll likely be returning and hopefully trying the gelato.
Love Pizzando, I come here regularly.
There are many delicious options and I haven't met an unfriendly server yet. Also love the atmosphere and frequently run into other locals.

They make a superb Caesar Salad and the pizza is 9/10 most of the time. The current pic reflect two weeks ago where the pizza was crispy, flaky and bubbly just what I expected but on may 20th it was stiff like it had been reheated so 9 stars for that plus the staff really wasn't on it they left us out there for at least 15 minutes before taking our order. I usually pop in here after a bike ride and I'm always satisfied so the one bad pizza day won't end my visits.
Although the food and drinks are very good, my partner was
Although the food and drinks are very good, my partner was pick pocketed when paying for our meal. The head waiter said it happened there all the time. We won't go back knowing the staff may be harboring a thief.
We're locals, and have been coming here for years.
Eggplant parm is usually great, but this week it was half the size it normally was, and the focaccia was the size of a bagel, while it's normally a healthy size fluffy bread. Then we're waiting for the bill, and they didn't bring it, so we finally went up to pay and the POS was down. After over 20 minutes sitting at our table waiting, not being offered any extra drinks/dessert, (good customer service says you at least offer something while we wait) they finally had us come inside to pay the bill. No discount, no free drink or dessert.
OK, it was Mother's Day so it was kind of busy.
We finally asked for menus and the young man literally threw them on our table, no words. We ordered the appetizer with the pears, prosciutto and ricotta. It was pretty good so we were hopeful. There were only 2 other tables inside besides ourselves in the restaurant and they had outside seating going on. One waitress was walking around crying. What is going on in that restaurant? No one was friendly. We were sitting close to the door and there was a steady stream of people on the street coming into the restaurant to use the restroom, so that was weird. We ordered and the food took FOREVER to come out. No one checked on us, in fact, we were wondering "who exactly is our wait person?". 2 out of 3 meals came out, then the final one. The food was nothing to write home about. So, we wasted about $90 on this meal. Very disappointing, mostly from a customer service perspective. I see lots of positive reviews about service? Not today.
Probably the worst pizza we ever had just few crumbles of
Probably the worst pizza we ever had just few crumbles of cheese, hardly any sausage lots of plain pizza sauce and crust had no flavor (I think someone forgot to add salt to dough)The staff and service was excellent though so 1 star for that. The pear and ricotta appetizer was just OK.We had the orange cannoli and vanilla donuts wasn't the best. I don't think we'll be back
The lettuce had brown spots on it and the pizza dough was
The lettuce had brown spots on it and the pizza dough was WHOLE WHEAT (which you don't get to find out until your pizza gets there). Anything but authentic. If you're looking for real Italian pizza, just avoid. I'd you're hungry and anything warm will do, enjoy. Oh and I'm pretty sure the cheese was jack cheese. Definitely not mozzarella.
I pass by this restaurant often, but it is so populated
I pass by this restaurant often, but it is so populated with tourists that I've never had a meal there. My wife and I drove by on a Monday evening and noticed that it wasn't crowded at all and there was parking, so we decided to give it a shot. We were seated right away and the wait staff was very attentive. We got our menus and drinks immediately. Right off the bat, the menu has a lot of items that sound amazing. We decided to order a few of the most popular dishes to try, and we were definitely not disappointed. We started with the lemon Parmesan Brussel sprouts. I'm normally not one who enjoys Brussel sprouts, but let me tell you, these ones are to die for. They are roasted to perfection, and the combination of Parmesan and lemon really complement each other perfectly. I highly recommend them as a complement to any main dish that you order. For our main courses, my wife ordered the wood fired pepperoni pizza, and I ordered the herb roasted chicken panino. The pizza is, hands down, some of the best pizza I've had in Sonoma County. The sauce is made with San Marzano tomatoes, which brings out that bright tomato flavor and really makes a difference. They use real mozzarella and fresh basil as well. Wood fired to perfection, but not too charred like you see at some places. Delicious! The Panini has grilled chicken breast and bacon with fontina, red onions, pesto, and aioli. I was skeptical to try because I do not like mayo, and the aioli made it look like it had a lot of mayo on it. But I gave it a shot anyways, and the combination of garlic aioli and pesto was on point! If you are a fan of strong, bold, flavors definitely give this sandwich a go. It comes with fries, which I recommend upgrading to truffle fries because they complement the garlic flavor of the sandwich really well. Our first experience at Pizzando was a hit, and we will definitely be back to try more dishes, and dessert. You get a lot of food and it's not pricey at all. If you are in the area, make sure you stop by, you won't regret it!
Second time going in for ice-cream only.
Stood there for minutes as 3 employees were 'working' and no one addressed us. Even the manager came next to me to clean some seats and still no acknowledgement. Waited some more when finally a young employee came up and said 'you want sole ice-cream?' Just top notch service.
Fab
Dropped in , modern restaurant- fantastic pizzas ,caprese salad was amazing , great staff , knowledgeable on wines , highly recommend
Bad pizza
We have had pizza from this restaurant over the last several years It was always good. We have had 2 pizzas from there this summer. The first was a vegan. It was bad, but we thought it was because it was vegan and not vegetarian, which we got last year and enjoyed. So tonight we tried the prosciutto pizza. If you like eating a bunch of not so good crust with barely any cheese ( prosciutto was ok) then this is the pizza for you! We will not be returning.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
