The Tin Building along side Pier 17 is amazing!! Worth a visit for sure!A full marketplace inside!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing spot.
Took my girlfriend here for a date since she loves Christmas. Started off with our Santa hats and then got sat down. Jason was our waiter and he was amazing, very attentive and patient. Beautiful spot for pictures

Visited Pier17 for the first time and loved it!It was such a nice and refreshing place in the city especially during this fall season. My main goal really was to see their Pumpkin arch and it was beautiful! From where it is placed, you can also see the Brooklyn Bridge and both together just comes out as a beautiful view. The place can get crowded though but otherwise still fun. There are restaurants such as Malibu Farm and Momofuku and more options inside the Tin Building. The best time to visit may really be fall season where its not too cold and not too hot. Definitely a little less crowd with the kids back to school as well. The entire place is kept fairly clean with lots of space and chairs/benches for crowds to just relax and spend some time there. Its definitely a cool spot and a place you can bring family/friends and visitors for a nice sightseeing option.

Came here super early yesterday as I wanted to beat the crowd and look at the beautiful pumpkin arch. I figured with the night sky and the arches glowing lights- it would be amazing.Look at the amazing and gorgeous views (photos I taken). Just beautiful. I caught the sun rising around 6:22AM on the pier. I wish I could have stay longer but I has to get to work. Waking up an extra 30minutes earlier made these views worth it.
Be the first to ReplyI've been to this pretty venue for several events.
This is a great rooftop, especially on a nice summer day. If you look south you can see the Statue of Liberty. If you look north you can see the Brooklyn bridge. I find drinks served there to be watered down and nothing to write home about. Food I've had there. While good can be quite surprising. At one event we all ordered empanadas and the people who didn't eat meat got meat empanadas. The people who ordered meat empanadas got meat empanadas. The people who ordered any other empanada got meat. They really just didn't care what they handed people despite clearly placed orders and transactions. The lines for food are so chaotic that it feels like you are lucky to have the privilege of purchasing food at all.Other than that it is great.

My rating is from a concert perspective at The Rooftop venue. The building is nicely lit at night and easily noticeable along the East River from several blocks down. The backdrop of the concert has a beautiful view of the Brooklyn Bridge. You can take as many pictures as you can by the waters with the bridge even if you're not attending the concert. I arrived at 6:50 to line up for a concert that started at 7pm and got in around 7:20pm. It felt like I had a tour of most of the outside of the building and snapped some nice pictures of the Brooklyn Bridge while I was at it waiting on the long line. Security was really thorough with the bag checks, which contributed to the wait, but that is appreciated from a safety standpoint. The show was cut short because of a thunderstorm, so it doesn't seem like it was a rain-or-shine venue like it said online -- again it was for safety reasons. It is an open venue on the rooftop and there is no cover. However they did hand out ponchos when it got really bad after the show.

Great venue for a concert but relatively poor execution with the entrance/security check. For a concert that was scheduled to begin at 7pm with doors opening at 6:30pm, we arrived at 6:45pm and waited on a line that circled around the entire complex (and with a lot of people arriving after us). We finally got in at 7:25pm. Ticketmaster had also sent instructions to add the tickets to your wallet on your cellphone and show them from there but the person checking tickets said that didn't work and had everyone go through the Ticketmaster app.Once inside though, the experience was great. There was a good amount of space, the acoustics were fine and food and drinks were readily available for purchase.

I went to an event here and the view from the 4th floor was beautiful! The 4th floor is a nice sized space where you can see the Brooklyn Bridge!
Be the first to ReplyMust say, the experience at Pier 17 was great.
However, be careful if you are going there for a concert. My girlfriend and I were there for a concert not too long ago, and despite a large inside area, we were made to stand outside in a line for hours before the show started. If it wasn't raining and a bit cold, it wouldn't have been much of an issue. That being said, however, Pier 17 is a great venue and a great time. It has some great little restaurants and shops, and the venue itself on the rooftop is an incredible experience. Would highly recommend but prepare for a slightly arduous experience if you go to a concert there.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambience for an intimate date night.
The drinks and food were delicious. I highly recommend the tomato soup and grilled cheese combo. The highlight of our visit was our waitress Ana. Amazing service!

What a wonderful experience! We decided it was our turn to try out the fancy igloo dining experience and we were not disappointed. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was top notch. Our hostess, Cora was an absolute doll and hilarious to boot. And our server, Jason, was super attentive and made sure our experience was top notch. We even had a professional photographer take our photos for a truly memorable experience. Definitely worthwhile because the tents are heated and the view is great. Would definitely come back with more people soon!
Be the first to ReplyHad a great time.
The cabin was very comfortable even with crazy wind. There is a tv fireplace inside and it gives you the feeling of being warm. We were very comfortable.Service was quick and friendly. You must create an account and order on your phone. There is a call button if you have questions or need assistance. The portions are not big by any means but they are tasty. The guac and chips was delicious. My daughter had the Mac n cheese and I'd say pass on that. For the price it was not even as good as something out of a box. Overall it was a fun experience. Great places all around the rooftop to get the perfect pic. And the bathrooms are top notch. Not sure there are any better in the city!!

Great time at The Greens! Service was quick, very kind, and I love how they put this all together, socially distanced and all. I wish most places had the opportunity to implement something like this, even pre-COVID and hopefully post-COVID. The only reason why I docked a star is because of the food quality vs. cost. High cost for average quality popular American food. Otherwise the system of ordering was efficient and quick, which was much appreciated.

Came here to meet my date and while I was waiting i got to explore the place. This place looks great. Great ambiance for walking, dating, and get to know the date. Also this place is big and spacious. Seems to be a popular place where lots of people come to hang out and to have fun. It's got lots of stores and restaurants to dine in and check out. Unf. I didn't get to check out any of them as my date didn't go for any of those. We went to one that wasn't great. I regret the decision... :(

The semi-recently renovated Pier 17 is an indoor/outdoor mall at South Street Seaport. As a full-time vagrant, let me recommend this as a place for loitering. There's a variety of outdoor seating options along the pier. The north side has a view of three bridges. The east side has a view of Brooklyn. The south side has a view of Governor's Island. There's such good people watching. So many #influencers doing elaborate photo shoots! A mix of tourists and miserable commuters getting on and off the ferry! So many lost tourists! So many awkward dates! There appears to be wifi, but I was too busy people watching to fully investigate. If the wifi here is sketchy, cross the street and do your downloading at South Street Seaport. Or buy a book at McNally Jackson if you're doing a digital detox. The eateries and bars downstairs are all open to the water, which is perfect for life in the age of covid. There's also the Fulton Market across the street (if it's open, or the Key Food further up on Fulton if it's not). Go ahead and eat your CVS candy and drink your booze out of a Nalgene you found on a stoop, smug in the knowledge that you're not paying $15 for a cocktail and you're even closer to the water.Manhattan is not exactly bursting with public bathrooms. Pier 17's toilets, on the 4th floor, very likely have the best view of any public restroom in NYC. There are a lot of them and the building is new, so they should be nice. Alas, they have been visited by a plague of tourists with weak thigh muscles and bad aim. If you can't handle the hover, please clean up after yourself.

Lots of open outdoor spaces with magnificent views & photo spots. ย Many seats & some shade. ย The new pier is higher end & significantly more expensive than the previous pier. ย It's a shame there aren't vendors at moderate & less expensive price points.

went here for sad summer fest, and while the venue is so pretty, the concert staff are mostly just so incredibly rude. 1 band performed before it started raining, so they sent us inside which was fine. but those of us who were in line since 9-11am & got barricade were nervous because we wanted to make sure we got our spots back when they let us back up. so they told us several times that they'd de-activate the down-escalators so that we can go up that way, and it wouldn't be so congested. many of us waited there for around an hour, but when it was time to go back up, they did not deactivate the escalators like they said they would, and most of us over on that side didn't get out spots back. (luckily i ran up the down escalator before security could stop me and got my spot lmao). they got all bitchy when people got upset but ?? what did they expect by doing that ??? after the concert ended the men on the staff kept trying to get everyone out by screaming about how they need us to leave so they can go smoke weed ... like people were getting water and going to the bathroom (bc we were all there for like 10 hours) and they were just not being considerate at all
Be the first to ReplyHonestly one of the worst concert experiences.
The venue was so unorganized and gave people the wrong information. Good thing I paid over $100 for my tickets to stand in line for over an hour. They change the door time multiple times causing 50% of the crowd to miss most of the festival. If your favorite band is playing this venue I highly suggesting skipping this venue stop.

I've been here for several rooftop summer concert events and dining and I cannot explain how unbelievably beautiful it is! Not only is it beautiful but every restaurant, bar, shop are all tastefully decorated, staffed, inviting and accommodating. ย The views from every direction are stunning! ย GO HERE AND GO OFTEN!!
