Gorgeous place with beautiful flowers everywhere with a unique layout. The staff and the food were really good.

What a fabulous place!!! Gorgeous outside and the inner patio and inside the restaurant... the lovely Jessica sat me down early and turned on the heaters for me as I awaited my guests!!! My brother and his wife Beth.... they are on their way to Japan and stopped off in California to see me and then tomorrow they're off on a jet plane. This was a perfect spot to eat at, had never been here before and my dear friend Mer suggested we go here for lunch!!! Started off with hummus and amazing pita bread! Can pita be amazing? Yes-it ha ha can! Anyway, my brother and I had martinis ? Vodka, olives and a little dirty! Our main dishes were orzo bowl with salmon for me NO CILANTRO ( do not get me started)...OMG delicious. Andrew had the ravioli stuffed with spinach and cheese... it was mouthwatering! Waitstaff Nick was amazeballs! Fun and helpful and just a pleasure! I can't say enough about the surroundings, the experience and the fact that I will be back very soon. It's a little pricey, but worth it because the ambience is extraordinary close to the beach and close to my home. Paloma is a jewel on Venice blvd. Plenty of street parking. On the weekends, make a reservation... still savoring my meal hours later!!!! My new GO TO place for a special meal!!!
Be the first to ReplyThis replaced the old zinque and boy are we glad.
Yummy plain rain chips and pita bread that's addicting.. the menu was so amazing it was hard to even choose. Margaritas are solid as is the ambiance..
Be the first to ReplyLoved the food, service was great.
The environment is really nice, there is outside area and in. I set outside so there is breeze and sunny.

Paloma was the best meal we had in our visit to LaLa land! Great atmosphere and ambiance. I never finish my plate and I nearly licked this one clean! (Spinach ravioli). The hummus was amazing too! Definitely worth a visit!
Be the first to ReplyI had the opportunity to dine at Paloma for the first time
I had the opportunity to dine at Paloma for the first time this past Easter weekend and it was very lovely with all of the fresh greenery and open space including the amazing service by all of the wait staff and I even had the opportunity to personally meet the Owner, Managers, Chef and Wine Director. I was very impressed how much knowledge in specifically the Wine Director had about the food in which I ordered the Penne Paloma and He suggested the wine pairing with the Ken Forrester Petit Cabernet Sauvignon - It was delicious. Looking forward to going back again soon to check out their Brunch and Lunch!!
Be the first to ReplyService was great otherwise but I heard the wine
Service was great otherwise but I heard the wine specialist(I believe his name is Henri?) make some really inappropriate comments about someone's appearance. He should not work in hospitality
Be the first to ReplyVibe is super Venice-fun, busy and a little bit loud.
Service is friendly and helpful. Tasty drinks. The food is delicious. I love all the salads-so fresh tasting. I love the chicken paillard -both at lunch and dinner. We had a great 30th birthday dinner there.
Be the first to ReplyCame for lunch with da girlfriend.
Was greeted and served by Matthew who was super cool, knowledgeable of the menu, and had a great flow of service with no pressure. We got the Fig old fashioned Lychee Martini Calamari Ceviche and chips Hummus with pita Everything we tried was delicious. Bartender makes some damn good brinks and the food was really tasty and came out fast and hot. Would definitely return. Thnx Matthew & Paloma !!

The food service was good but the creative director was not a nice person. I came here with my friends and I noticed how disrespectful he was towards his employees in front of customers, very unprofessional. Really enjoyed the food but in the presence of a rude manager.

Horrible service, it took 30 minutes to just get a glass of wine. They also asked us to move tables when the restaurant was empty and wasn't a situation where it would have allowed them more room for a bigger party. The food was somehow bland and over salted at the same time. There are way too many other amazing restaurants in the area to give this a try.

I decided to go out for the dinner last minute Thought I'd try Paloma, with ZERO expectations I showed up and was surprised how beautiful the setting is.Food arrived ( we ordered a few dishes, Pasta, Salmon, and Branzino ) WOW, the portion size was great and the food was really really good. The desert was equally as good Thank you, Paloma I WILL BE BACK
Be the first to ReplyI have only been here once but I'm annoyed when there
I have only been here once but I'm annoyed when there aren't enough reviews so here I am. We went today and had no issue getting a reservation at 11:45 am on a Sunday for any of their areas. Ordered the hummus, eggplant, and orzo salmon protein bowl. Liked the hummus, eggplant and pita bread was just ok, orzo bowl was good with a generous size salmon portion. Very cute decor, each area is different; looks like a good event space. Staff was very friendly. It was definitely not a "scene" but maybe it was the time of day? Didn't realize they were soju cocktails until after the fact but it tasted ok! Valet ($12) or street parking only.
Be the first to ReplyI unfortunately think this location is cursed.
So many promising restaurants have tried and failed to make this location work and I think Paloma is just anther one.... The positive stars I gave are for the decor (super cute, they clearly spent a lot renovating the patio), staff (very nice!) and the ease of getting a table. Given the vibe this place has potential, the menu is just very off. We started with the wood grilled smoked eggplant and it came with whole wheat toast. The bread was okay but the eggplant was also ice cold and it just was a weird texture, I would not recommend (and I LOVE eggplant). We also tried the meatballs, which were okay but again it came with just toast and was just meh. For my main I got the spinach ravioli, which I didn't even finish because it was so below average. I will admit, it's possible we didn't order well....but with the level and quality of the other restaurants on Abbott Kinney, I see no reason to come back here.

The worst food and service! Food we tried was either dry/over salty/ bland and takes FOREVER to get to you. They also don't have their full liquor license and so they have "cocktails" made with a gross wine. Waitress was terrible and talked back to us as if her horrible customer service was somehow our fault. We were there for a span of 4 hours as we waited for my friends to be served with what they ordered. Seriously LA has such great restaurants. Do not be bothered by trying this one out. Such a disappointment, not to mention overpriced!

I don't understand some of the negative reviews here, but I went there for food and drinks to catch up with my girlfriends and was impressed with the food, wine, and atmosphere. I used to come to this location before it was Paloma, it was a restaurant called Zinque, and I was really impressed what they did with the place. My friends and I will all be back soon.
Be the first to ReplyTerrible food.
The pasta seemed to be frozen, reheated, and served. The lobster pasta which costs $45 was terrible, it tasted like canned tomato sauce with chunks of lobster in it. The bread was stale. You can tell they spent their money on the "aesthetics's" of the restaurant, but definitely not the food.
Be the first to ReplyProbably not worth a second visit.
The salmon carpaccio was salty. The Linguine Vongole, though tasty, was a tiny plate for a main course. So was the Lobster spaghetti. Not worth the cost. Don't go here for decent food portions.

Dined here last night with family; don't understand all the negative reviews so here's our experience:Drinks:My dad I think got some mojito drink and the rest of us had a glass of wine. There wasn't a huge selection, but the selection of drinks they had were all very interesting and good.Food:Classic hummus - the pita and veggies included were a nice touch. Best hummus I've ever had? No, but it was delicious still and we ate every last bite.Grilled halloumi - very fresh taste with the tomatoes and oregano. Avocado salad - flavor was very crisp and refreshing, but this was something I did somewhat regret ordering due to the size. It's pretty small, but again very refreshing dish Broccolini - got this side and enjoyed the cast iron crisped-up broccolini and broccoli Linguine vongole - my sister loved it and all the clams it came with. Wanted to order bread at the end to soak up what was left of the sauce Pesto gnocchi- not traditional at all in the sense it was a very creamy pesto sauce. The gnocchi wasn't uniformly cooked as some prices were extra soft and some still had a little firmness, but that doesn't bother me. Enjoyed the creamy flavor Grilled branzino - my parents shared this and ate every last bite. Left them satisfied and not overly stuffed.Desserts:Tres leches (not on the menu) - not worth it Soufflé - more like a chocolate lava cake; very good and warm Pistachio semifreddo - one of the best things I had that night. Tart passionate fruit custard with amazing crumbles of pistachio. Waitress recommended it and I'm so glad we tried it.Overall: the food is good. Some minor misses, but mostly good, quality ingredients in a variable menu. Not sure why there's so many reviews complaining about bland food when they offer extra cheese, pepper flakes, and even have a hot sauce (VERY spicy one at that) to add. It could be seen as a little overpriced and competition in the neighborhood is tough, but I think once they find their footing and figure out what their star dishes are, they'll rise up to the top. Cute spot especially the patio area. Will come back, but definitely only when I'm willing to splurge

The "cocktails" on the menu aren't cocktails because they don't have a license to serve alcohol. This "Italian" restaurant wass "out" of Sangiovese/Chianti wines? The seabass in red sauce was flat and no one liked the chicken main in our group of four. Then to be presented with a $350. bill on a payment app demanding a 24% tip? NFW. Go to Scopa, Gjelina, Via Veneto, or any of the other excellent places nearby.
Be the first to ReplyWe've eaten here a few times and will definitely come back.
But it's not all sunshine and roses. The ambience is great - but it's at the expense of so much. It's odd that they were able to get permits for 8-9' perimeter walls, especially on a commercial street and at a major intersection. The walls make for a nice inside - but 8-9' walls are a middle finger to the neighborhood and to the pedestrian nature of Abbot Kinney. Speaking of middle fingers, this property used to have a parking lot. Now it doesn't. Again, it's odd that they were able to get permits when they removed all but two or three parking spots, which we've only seen used by one car (once). How is it that our small home requires three parking spaces - the same as Paloma has, and yet Paloma, which probably has seating for 60+ and has 10+ staff working at any given time, gave up a legit parking lot? Let's get serious: Erewon, across the street, commonly and for years has had a line of cars trying to get into its lot. But Paloma removed most of its parking spaces? As to the food, it's fine - it's not great. (The grilled veggies are great.) But it's ridiculously overpriced for what you get. $30 for a chicken breast - and nothing else. $24 for a Greek salad. Oh, no wifi, which is absurd. Paloma also has the new and trendy practice of offering tip suggestions based on food/beverage AND tax, which is maddening - but at least they (unlike many) disclose their practices on their credit card platform. The waitstaff and bus staff are earnest.
