Cocktails are great, but I come more for the views.
Beautiful indoor/outdoor patio lounge on the 6th floor of the line hotel. Pretty decent happy hour too. Definitely not a dinner spot but has good small plates and apps for snacking on!

"Underwhelming" doesn't begin to describe our experience. The food was over priced, and under seasoned for small portions. The drinks were good but the service was horrible. In the single hour we spent there, it was very disappointing. The views are amazing and the ambiance fair. I'm so surprised NOBODY has mentioned that the rooftop is SURROUNDED BY VENT FANS! It's so loud, the music is so turned up forcing you to scream at whoever you're with. I get it, "you pay for the ambiance" but this place IS NOT WORTH IT!!!

Made a reservation to enjoy some wine our last night in Austin. You can't beat the vibe or the views! On Sunday they do sip well Sundays so bottles of wine are $20 off. The staff was friendly, the ambiance was gorgeous and I loved the bathroom ceiling homage to our Texan musicians!

I love brunch! We were excited to check this place out as I also love open seating. The pictures made the view look amazing. I must say, we were both disappointed. The restaurant was not nearly as upscale as the photos. The view was also partially blocked where we were seated. The pictures looked so pink and beautiful. This place really needed an upgrade. The servers were in regular street clothes which also gave it a cheap feel. The menu was extremely limited. I enjoyed the salmon but it wasn't anything special. The price was pretty high in my opinion too. I honestly think they need an upgrade. There are way too many amazing brunch spots in Austin to not be one of the best!

I have gone to eat and have drinks at this spot two years in a row for my birthday. Is slightly overpriced and portions are too small for my liking. Waiting staff is not very friendly here either so the only thing that really makes this place worth going to is the absolutely AMAZING VIEW of the lake and Congress bridge and south austin as well as the unique and cozy decor of the hotel lobby. Valet is discounted for 3 hours and is validated by P6 after dining. All in all one of my all time favorite spots to watch the sunset.

I went for a friend's birthday and the layout of the restaurant and the views of the lake were super pretty! We ordered drinks and some appetizers for the table to share. They were pretty good, but I would definitely come just for the views and to take cute pictures!

The view of Town Lake at P6 makes this a wonderful place to meet up with friends, celebrate a special day, or show off Austin to someone new in town. Friends and I have enjoyed a few birthdays here. The space is a long terrace with living room style seating from one end to the other. At sunset you have a clear view of the bats coming out en masse from under Congress Ave bridge. The low ceiling and missing wall overlooking the lake remind you that you are actually on the top floor of the hotel's converted parking garage. Nevertheless, you can't find a better place to enjoy a breezy evening after a hot summer day. They offer small plates and cocktails that enhance the experience but don't necessarily Wow visitors. Their chocolate cake and P6 martini, however, are a perfect way to finish a night. Valet is validated by the hostess. To find P6, enter the lobby of The Line Hotel, and take the elevator to the 6th floor. In the summer book ahead.

Celebrated a birthday here and it was amazing!! Our server was so kind and made sure my bday dinner felt special. Great drinks & delicious shareable plates too

Did the mixed charcuterie board. Everything was great, service was decent, vibe was great. Epic view!!!!

Exceptional service and very knowledgeable about their menu/sources. Great cold brew martini and the tartare was delicious. Beautiful view of river as well

Went here for a girls night out and immediately regretted it. The chairs were extremely uncomfortable and it was more of a lounge than a place to have dinner, so poor advertising on their part. The views were pretty but as soon as it got dark there was no decent music or decor that was special enough that set it apart from all the other amazing places in Austin. The cocktails were some of the worst I've had and at $16 a pop, it was not worth it. The only options we ordered were an overpriced cheese board with some hard pita crackers and blueberry jam. We also got bread with lemon ricotta and the ricotta tasted so artificial like them using a flavoring rather than juice. It was decent but not worth $25 by any means. Would not go back. Love this hotel but this "restaurant" was a total miss. The service was also terrible as well. The waiter was always nowhere to be found and our drinks were constantly empty.
Be the first to ReplyGreat wrap around patio.
Had a friend in town and tried to make it there in time to see the bats. We missed them but still stayed for a drink. Didn't order food but drinks average at about $15 per drink.
Be the first to ReplyWent to breakfast at P6.
I highly recommend their bloody marys. They were so delicious and refreshing. We got the patas bravas and the steak and eggs. Both dishes were so delicious we completely finished them. The biggest plus of this place is the view from the roof which is over looking the river and absolutely stunning. It is a very picturesque spot with friendly staff and delicious food.
Be the first to ReplyCute rooftop bar at the line.
Loved the view of the river and service was great. We went here when it got really windy last month so the experience wasn't the best, but I'm sure when it warms up more it will be great! Some items are pretty pricy so recommend going during HH.
Be the first to ReplyI wanted to love P6 but it just didn't do it for me.
Are the views amazing, is it decorated to perfection, are the cocktails Instagram-story worthy? Absolutely. Unfortunately, the food is not memorable nor is it worth the cost. I have no problem paying more when it comes for good food and delicious cocktails but everything I had was mediocre at best. My Sunday brunch started out here with warm mimosas, not my idea of a PickMeUp when hungover. The plus was the hummus as the veggies served on the side for dipping were fresh and crunchy. But everything else was just okay, and my party and I were disappointed in the mimosas/overly thick micheladas/cocktails and lukewarm pitaquiles (their take on chilaquiles). We had semi-descent service (our server would only check in sportatically), and the views really are pretty, but the cost was not worth the plate-fulls of food we unfortunately left behind as we were not happy with the taste. And we definitely guzzled down our drinks despite the fact that they were warm because we all know it's a sin to pour out alcohol. P6 is trendy and offers some great views but it's an overhyped brunch spot with overpriced food and average, cocktails that look spectacular but lack taste. But hey, at least we got some good pictures out of it.

We were excited to try P6 with a group of friends and family and sadly disappointed. Service was great (by initial waitress), yet the guy who took over her spot was lacking tact. The place was not that full and he kept asking if there was anything else he could do and then basically said we can switch you to sofas since we have another party coming in. There was another large table available....why would he do that? Rude. Your patrons are having a good time talking, enjoying the vibe give them a chance to enjoy and perhaps we would have continued to order even more drinks. The bill was over $400 what is the problem? Just all in all not impressive. There are many other bars in Congress Avenue in Austin which have better food and definitely much better customer service.
Be the first to ReplyLittle too expensive for what it is.
Your paying for the view not the food/drinks. Both the food and drinks were mediocre. But damn you can't beat this view

I had grabbed reservations here for a Saturday afternoon and it was a perfect location as we were walking along Lady Bird Lake to take a break and enjoy an adult beverage with my cousin and her husband. The crowd skews younger and it's very Instagram oriented with cute decor and a beautiful view. The drinks were good and the service was also good... I would recommend this spot... this location was formerly a Ramada but has been heavily upgraded.
Be the first to Replywho run the world? Girls.
What do they run on? GALENTINES DINNY AT P6. ladies. It is indeed the spot. Little gem Caesar had zesty chicken, the spuds were doused in a tasty romesco/cream situation, and the APEROL SOUR tasted like strawberry jello which, controversially, I mess with HEAVY heavy. LASTLY our server Izzy must be sore from absolutely carrying the team!!! we will b back 5sure
Be the first to ReplyI was excited to bring an out-of-town visitor to this spot
I was excited to bring an out-of-town visitor to this spot for its beautiful views of Lady Bird Lake. While the views are quite nice, the food and drinks were disappointing. We came for brunch on Sunday, and the menu options were limited. My friend ordered a biscuit, which, unfortunately, was not all that appealing looking or tasting. We also wanted to order coffee, but the espresso machine wasn't working. When asked about tea options, they only had one black tea to offer. I was surprised that such a nice place did not seem more prepared or set up. It is possible it was an off morning, but hopefully in the future or at different times there are more food and drink options.
