Easily one of the best pinsas I've ever had in LA! Loved all the dishes and the environment at the restaurant. It's best if you book this place ahead of time or you'd get seated at the bar (like us). All the staffs were friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back for more! The added truffle was all worth it so delicious!

We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon arrival. The restaurant was crowded but not too noisy, everyone was enjoying themselves. The server was amazing and offered menu suggestions. I forgot the name of our appetizer but it was delicious! I danced at the table the whole meal because I enjoyed every part of it. Definitely lived up to expectations and I'd be back.

So glad I finally tried this place, everything was DELICIOUS. We tried multiple different dishes and all of them were a 10/10. Service was amazing, they were super friendly and attentive. We celebrated a birthday and they brought us a tiramisu with a candle which was lovely! The vibes were great, felt very homey and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back to try more dishes.
Be the first to ReplyGreat food and lovely service.
Prices were fair and ingredients were fresh. The pizza was killer and I also had a beautiful beet salad that looked like art on the plate without breaking the bank.
Be the first to ReplyHad a great meal at Oste last night.
I was a little late for the reservation and they were very accommodating. The wine list was great, and they were very flexible in adjusting an entree to make it vegan! Cool spot with good vibes.
Be the first to ReplyWho doesn't enjoy staring at an enlarged photo of Sophia
Who doesn't enjoy staring at an enlarged photo of Sophia Loren, who gave real meaning to real and enlarged. Sophia and the owner, Alessandro Iacobelli, will welcome you warmly. Walk in and say "What a cute place", and it is a cute place without being cutesy. Street parking allows you 2 hours all of which you'll need just to peruse the ambitious menu. The decor is Italo-chic. Spartan but cozy and charming. A few large photos (if you can pry your eyes away from a young Sophia). The lighting warms the dining room and the design of this little gem says authentic and comfortable. There is a Brass and Copper machine to make Espresso and impress oh, it's so Italian. You'll think you've clicked your heels and closed your eyes, and when you opened them, you're in Trattoria dall'Oste in Florence. And...Oste don't coste that much. You can pay much more and get much less around town. You have found a true find. The background music will have your finger poking your Shazam app with each new tune. It's not intrusive like so many places where the loop eclipses all conversation. Not here. It's nice background music. There is a lovely dining room with two and four tops lining the wall across from the Wine Bar and also a street side patio which makes the hustle of the streets fade away. Oste doesn't need a hostee as all the staff will greet you like a new puppy. Your table is ready and while you make your nest, menus appear, but no rush as the table is yours until you need help getting up. The Staff was genuinely happy to make sure you have a great time here with food and wine to match. Oste is so un-Roman too, where waiters are aimlessly roamin' and groanin' about being on their feet all night in pants too tight. This ain't that. Service is practiced and professional, helpful and just plain friendly plus the kitchen knows exactly what they're doing and will pace your meal carefully. The Bar is Beer (on tap), and a curated Wine list offers a great collection and all fairly priced. Now, we have arrived at the magic moment. What's to eat here? Everything! The kitchen is focused and energetic. Seasoned cooks seasoning dishes with confidence and fully capable of serving the best of Rome in LA. The Bread basket at $3 had me immediately. It is full of warm fresh baked stacked slices of delicious bread. It was like a Ciabatta and a Focaccia got sloppy on a Tinder date and created a love child. The secret is Rice Flour, Whole Wheat Flour, and 85% water to create a nice crust and irresistible chew. You're gonna need several baskets of bread to sop up everything on each new plate beginning with the herby olive oil underneath the Carciofi alla Giuda (fried baby Artichokes) as good as you get at Piperno's in Rome on the Sunday night buffet. The Artichokes are hot, crunchy and enhanced by Italian Parsley, Lemon, and a riff on Bagna Cauda (Garlic and Anchovies). You'll need two orders of this too. So, just unravel your travel plans and go to Oste. (Piperno's is too noisy and hard to find anyway). The Insalata di Radicchio e Finocchio has bites of Radicchio and sliced Fennel, Asian Pears, Gorgonzola and Candied Walnuts in a light Vinaigrette that supports the ingredients without overpowering them. More bread por favori, Cameriere. No dressing will be left behind. Now, you need to have a meat-a-ball. Three baseball sized beauties are exceptionally light and fluffy. The meat was handled just enough and isn't that what we yearn for...in a Polpettine? Other versions of this simple yet traditional dish are like gagging down river rocks. These Meatballs have been elevated to an art form. They are served with an intense Sugo di San Marzano Tomato, melted Stracciatella Cheese from Puglia and a sprinkle of Nigella Seeds. They were terrific. These Meatballs have balls and won't disappoint should you take one home and have it for breakfast with a Runny Egg the next day. Or, just hoover the lot with your third basket of Bread. The Pinsa (pizza) is as large as a throw rug. My Pinsa Carbonara had a cracker crust and came with Guanciale, Bacon, Pecorino-Romano Cheese, Black Pepper, and that Runny Egg on top. Perfect for those Glatt Kosher, Vegan friends. (It's worth it to just get new friends as the Pinsa is wonderful). The Lasagna was sheer brilliance too. A simple dish turned into something for Royalty. The loaf was as big as a brick and had layers of al dente noodle sheets, slathered with a rich Bolognese Ragu in between them along with Bechiamella, Pecorino-Romana Cheese, and Black Pepper. Both hands on the serving soon and lift with your legs. Have room for house made Gelato? Even if you don't, get some. Chocolate Gelato and Passionfruit Sorbeto was perfect. You can always cat nap while the CHP writes you a ticket for weaving your way down the 5 Fwy. I can now boaste that I'll return to Oste soon. (Like tonight).

Authentic Italian dining experience! The restaurant was super packed, but the service and quality of the food was amazing. Started off our meal with the Homemade Bread and evoo for the appetizer. The bread was super warm and you can tell it was freshly made. The Battuda di Manzo (beef tartare) was made with Wagyu beef, shallots, parsley, and a quail egg. Super flavorful and delicious. The Rigatoni Cacio e Pepe was cheesy and had just the right amount of peppery flavor. Although it was a bit heavy, it was still really good and filling. The standout was the Sofia Mussels. The mussels were in a wine and garlic sauce and the sauce was very rich in flavor. Couldn't stop dipping the bread in this sauce! The food, ambiance, and service were all top notch! Highly recommend this spot for Italian and will be back for more mussels!
Be the first to ReplyReally is an excellent restaurant.
Everything I have tried here tastes delicious. I have recommended it to all my friends and they all love it here also. Service is always great and ambiance is very comfortable.

My boyfriend and I came here on a Wednesday night and it was packed! Definitely recommend making a reservation. We ordered:-bread-oxtail ragu pasta-margherita pizza with italian sausage The bread and the olive oil they served it with was delicious! Pizza was one of the best I've had and the pasta was cooked wonderfully. We also saw the male owner walking around and he was super nice. Great service and food, 10/10 would come again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat ambiance and service.
We ordered the rigatoni, arugula salad and prosciutto pizza with mozzarella and arugula. They did not disappoint! We'll definitely be coming back for another date night!
Be the first to ReplyOste has easily become one of my favorite restaurants in LA.
Everyone that I take here falls in love with the food. Notable dishes are the fungi pinza and the mussels. I don't know what sauce they put the mussels in but it's out of this world. We got the one with bacon in it and the bacon chunks were thick. The ambiance is great here. Perfect for a get together with friends or a date. The service is always amazing. They also take reservations. Truly no cons about this place other than parking... but that's just LA
Be the first to ReplyI come to Oste for everything, and actually came this past
I come to Oste for everything, and actually came this past weekend for my birthday. The food is so outstanding, and true to real Italian style. I usually end up ordering a bunch of appetizers because the menu is so yummy I just want to try it all.We had the Margarita Pinsa and the Potato Pinsa and they were soo yummy. Just fresh and perfect for sharing. For my main I actually had the meatballs (which are technically an appetizer) and they were perfect for a little taster. The sauce was rich and the meatballs tasted perfect. My husband has the mussels and said it's probably the best mussels he's had in LA.The vibes are always great and the service is impeccable. The only downside is they don't have a full liquor license so it's not the best place for cocktails. But besides that it's the perfect celebration or date night spot!
Be the first to ReplyMy go to stop for quality, service and ambiance.
Best pepperoni pizza. Love their bread. And favorite affogato.
Be the first to ReplyUNREAL!!!! I just got back from Italy and was craving
UNREAL!!!! I just got back from Italy and was craving authentic Italian food. We remember seeing this restaurant and wanted to try! It was AMAZING. The food was soooooo wonderful. I'm a lasagna connoisseur, always get it at every authentic Italian restaurant in LA, ate it 7 times at 7 different popular restaurants in Florence Italy last month.....so I know what I'm looking for. And let me telllll yoooouuuuu. This one was top 2! Def top in LA. Better than Antonia Lofaso's Scopa Potato pizza, salads, cacio e Pepe, tiramisu, and butterscotch boudin were all to die for. We licked the plates. The service was also phenomenal-servers were knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and patient ;) One of the owners came over and spoke with us for 20+ minutes about our upcoming trip to Paris (he's French). Soooo lovely. Can't wait to be a regular here. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!! You won't be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyPizza was actually better than what I recently had in Rome.
They are doing something special with the dough which you can read about on their website, but know that the resulting crust is fantastic. Want to go back and try more dishes asap. Service was friendly and quick without being rushed.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and incredible service! The ambiance was super
Amazing food and incredible service! The ambiance was super cute with lots of plants and a heated patio! The homemade bread is absolutely delicious. The Oxtail Ragu was literally the best pasta I've ever had! Our water glasses were never empty, and I felt like we were taken care of! Even the manager was on the floor, checking in on the guests. This place cares! Can't wait to come back and try more things!
Be the first to ReplyI feel like I'm in a bustling New York restaurant when I'm
I feel like I'm in a bustling New York restaurant when I'm here. Every dish was delicious. We had the squash blossom, arugula salad, oxtail ragu (great flavor just a little too salty for my taste) and delicious crispy truffle fries- their ketchup I did not like! It needs to be Heinz. 4 stars bc the there was a huge wait between the starters and mains and my friend almost chipped her tooth because there was a bone from the oxtail and our server was pretty much like, yeah that happens. The manager came over moments later and said the same thing. I would say, don't put something on the menu if you can't figure out a way to keep the bones out of the dish? They sent a dessert wine at the end as a sorry. I would def come back, maybe just skip the oxtail Ragu.
Be the first to ReplyFrom our first visit the food was exceptional.
The ragu is sublime and really made me consider if they had an Italian grandma pour love straight into our meals... we've since been back 3-4 times and have mainly great things to say. Their tiramisu is one of the best I've found in LA so far while their appetizers are imaginative and delicious. Can't wait to make this a staple in our lives.
Be the first to ReplyMy new favorite place to eat in LA ! Loved the food.

Be the first to ReplyI just got our Pizza,s in the house.
OMG! Now this is what you call a DAM GOOD PIZZA . It got delivered to our house not and hot!! And the Pizza 's were Vert. Wry Good!! I can't say enough. Thank you so much for such a well done Pizza and Delivered Nice And Hot. We Got the Margarita, and Funghi Pizza's . I highly Recommend this place
Be the first to ReplyI came here for dinner last Thursday night with a friend.
We had 7pm reservations. It was packed definitely make advance reservations. My friend and I each got a drink and shared three dishes. We got the Caesar salad it was good but too much dressing. The gnocchi was my least favorite barely had it since I'm not a huge fan of Gorgonzola don't recommend ordering it. The best was the funghi pizza with truffle oil. They are known for their pizzas. Street parking is tough, but they do have valet for $12, and take a credit card if you don't have cash. It was about $55 a person not too bad considering we each got a drink. I would come back if a friend wants to come.
Be the first to ReplyWe went to this restaurant for our friend's going away
We went to this restaurant for our friend's going away dinner and our experience was terrible. The server never came to ask us what we needed, we had to constantly look for someone to get our order/bring us utensils, and had issues with our food (the octopus was undercooked and the pizza was just not it). Later in the night the owner came to our table and told us in a very rude manner that we had reached our 2 hour time limit and had to leave (we had an extra 20 minutes left but we shouldn't even need to explain that). Because of this, we chose not to leave a generous tip. As we were waiting for the valet, the owner came to us and said the waitress had "worked her ass off" and we should have left a better tip. I explained to him that tip is optional and we didn't want to reward our experience, which he replied to say "please never come back to my restaurant again"
