Walked in to a pretty packed bar on a Sunday night, the bartender at the front told us there was a second bar around the corner. To our surprised we walked into a second room with a wrap around bar. Super neat bar and the meaning behind the patches on the wall make it that much more meaningful. Quick and friendly service, bar food was delicious, overall great atmosphere.

Went to this spot because of its raving reviews, was so excited! My boyfriend and I have never been more disappointed with a pub. First we did not get greeted.. we had to hunt down someone to tell us where we could sit because LITERALLY every table said "reserved" when it was clearly not after being seated and people continuously came in and sat themselves down. After being served our drinks and making our order, we never got checked on for a refill on drinks. My boyfriend got annoyed & went up to the bar for refills to which the bar tender said if we wanted to sit at a bar there was one around the corner. Then we got our food.. "cajun chicken strips" apparently means sliced up chicken breast that were overly seasoned. Hamburger was sub par. Then we wanted to pay.. our waiter was nowhere in sight, yet again, my boyfriend had to get up and hunt him down to pay.

Burger had no flavor and the bun was falling apart like it was old and stale. Bar has a cool atmosphere and friendly staff.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing Irish pub near the World Trade Center.
I love Irish pubs and frequent them quite a lot due to my bf's heritage and this was a great experience. The food was good for pub level, the drinks were generous and the staff was very friendly. The ambiance is also very special, considering the history of it, and the special respect it pays to our heroes. Will be back for sure when in the city!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for some bar food and drinks.
Enjoyed a burger and Ruben sandwich. Waitstaff was spot on!

Visiting nyc out from Seattle and decided to stop in for a pint. Definitely recommend the Coney Island Merman and the shepherds pie. Great service despite being packed because of the World Cup and the vibe was just perfect. Classic old school pub, hope I get to come back soon!
Be the first to ReplyWhat an interesting place.
We finished visiting the 9/11 museum and memorial and asked one of the staff members about a place to have lunch and he recommended O'Hara's because it's unique. We walked there in the rain and it was worth it. I think it was crowded on Sunday with regular customers, but we found seating at the bar and enjoyed a burger and fries. The burger could have been cooked just at titch longer for us, but it was good. Refills of our soft drinks kept coming which was appreciated. It's a typical bar with bar atmosphere, but all the fire departments patches on the walls remind you it's no regular bar in NYC.

A few coworkers and I stopped by after work to grab a few drinks before dinner. The interior of this place was so neat and packed full of history. Sadly, they don't have any happy hour specials but the price of the beer was reasonable. I got the Hawaii wave and it was pretty light and just what I needed after a long day of work. However, towards the end my colleagues and I were rushed out of the bar because someone needed our table which is why I'm docking a star. The waiter at the beginning told us to take our time and then we were rudely asked to leave only after a half hour or so. If you're in the area for a quick drink, I would still recommend stopping by for the ambiance of the space.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is pretty cool.
There are police badges from everywhere on all walls and even the ceiling. Service was good. I only gave it 3 stars because I ordered shepherds pie and it was very dry and honestly not that great. My husbands sandwich was really good according to him
Be the first to ReplyThe ceiling is covered in blue lives matter flags.
If cop memorabilia is your kind of thing, you'll probably enjoy it here? But was definitely quite a bit of a shock to me when I came for the first time.

I loved it! The atmosphere was amazing the servers were so funny and kind! I got a steak sandwich and it was delicious!! It was my first time in NY and 10/10 recommend. My bf is a police officer so absolutely enjoyed it as well. I love the first responder patches around the whole bar! The vibe is amazing.

My daughter and I had tickets to visit the World Trade Memorial. We needed a bite to eat before hand. We chose O'Hara's after a quick walk around the block. We loved the atmosphere. Definitely looked like a fun place to have Happy Hour with coworkers! Our food was ok - nothing too wonderful, it did the job.

Went to this lil spot at the recommendation of an employee at the 9/11 memorial. Good little spot with great drinks, quick service, and good food. There are first responder and police patches from all over the world here. I got the burger with cheese & bacon (added grilled onion), Moscow mule, fries. The patty on the burger was super thick and it all tasted good too.

Sweet place! Saw this place from the hotel window (visiting from the Metro Detroit area) and it piqued my interest so my friend and I went to check it out. We hit this place 3x's in 3 days if that tells you anything! We found a new watering hole in NYC in the Financial District. They are taking Covid seriously and asking for ID along with vax proof, which was pretty typical during our visit to NYC almost two weeks ago. Our first night there we had dinner and drinks, and they have pretty decent bar food. I had a burger and fries and my friend had a rueben and fries and we had a tasty hazy ipa from Brooklyn. The server was pleasant and attentive. The music that was being played was good and the crowd was really getting into it! Our next two visits we just had drinks and had a nice talk with the bartender on our last visit there. Very friendly staff and a cool vibe means I'd like to come back here at some point! This place is like a block away from the WTC, and they pay tribute to that with police badges etc.

The picture is a screenshot of that conversation. I don't know who is in charge of answering online inquiries. I was told to never come back because I let them know that there was nothing posted about them being closed. This person is very unhinged and does not need to be answering inquiries.

Of all the places we went in New York during my trip this was one of my favorites. Not only was the service spot on, the food was really good. The entire pub is decorated with photos from 9/11 showing the damage this establishment received from the towers falling down, and thousands upon thousands of patches from police and firemen. The whole vibe of the pub is inviting yet and a reminder of what happened. We had a great time including a round of shots that was delivered and photographed by the waitress. Definitely would return the next time I'm in New York.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Irish pub downtown.
Great for happy hour or late night drinks. O'Hara's is also great for large groups.
Be the first to ReplyGreat little pub right next to 9/11 memorial.
We got stuck in a rain storm and ended up in here out of convenience and it's awesome that we did. Cute little cozy pub next to a fire station and has patches from first responders all over the world. The staff was friendly and the service quick. The food was standard pub food, nothing fancy but cooked well and delicious. Don't expect anything fancy. But this place delivers an experience worth checking out.

I liked the wings, drinks and the quick service from the one bartender that seen to your needs very quick. He did drinks for the bar and the customers at the tables all by his self. He did a great job. Thinking to go back just for those wings and drinks. Me and my husband talk about that place all the time. It's a great environment. Did I mention the wings .... And Drinks
Be the first to ReplyIf you're in here, you're family.
And are treated as such. Our bartender found out we were from Alaska and brought over one of the owners to talk snowmachining and fly fishing. He found out I was a chef and let me tour the kitchen, meeting their cooks, and even gave my husband and I a couple of O'Haras souvenir T-shirt's. Everyone we met here were kind, friendly, extremely good people. The food is fresh, and the drinks are cold and strong. Easily one of my all-time favorite pubs. Will always make a point to stop by when we're in the city.
