Here I had the best pizza in a long time - I highly recommend the one with the roasted corn. It's really expensive but big enough to share between two people. The atmosphere here was intimate and I'm was so thankful that it was open late.
Just a heads up.
As locals, we had booked reservations for tonight and it did not disappoint! Food and service was amazing as always . But I was horrified to watch a couple in front of us who apparently had no reservations treat the hostess in the worst way possible. The hostess clearly explained they were booked for the night and could not accept a walk-in. This couple proceeded to be loud and obnoxious and point to two empty tables saying they could sit there. The hostess explained they were reserved. The couple demanded to know her name and then threatened her with a bad review. The hostess, I think her name was Tatum, handled it so professionally. I am so sorry that restaurant workers have to deal with this. And for those going out to dine- just because there is an empty table, doesn't mean it's yours.
Great food and great service.
The pizza with the chili oil is the best pizza in Napa. Highly recommend! The meatballs were also delicious.
good wine, good vibes and good food! would say the pesto
good wine, good vibes and good food! would say the pesto pasta was better off without the pancetta (cause it felt like burnt bacon) but the burrito was sooo fresh and exactly the appetizer you need for summers in Napa! meatballs too were yummy and warm. dessert was decadent and beautifully presented!
Delicious pasta in a great spot! Everything here is a good
Delicious pasta in a great spot! Everything here is a good choice, and the pasta is fresh and delicious. We shared two appetizers and three pastas between three people and came home with leftovers. Portions are a good size, and we each had a different favorite pasta so you really can't go wrong. They were swamped when we got there, but our server was apologetic and was clearly working hard to attend to everyone. I would absolutely come back!
Nice location.
Beautiful ambiance. Great place to visit for getting a taste of Italy. Good service. Reasonable prices. Easy parking.
If you like the smell of smoke and like smelling of smoke
If you like the smell of smoke and like smelling of smoke when you leave you'll love this place. The chef was cooking a rack of lamb out front on the sidewalk to attract instagram photo takers. Every now and then she would use the front door, where the rotisserie was placed, to return to the restaurant, letting smoke in. I have dry eyes and my eyes were so red and watering when we left. The food was good, for pasta, but way overpriced for the amount you were served. They should really think about how to improve plating the pasta. It must have been the waiters first day. I ordered wine when I ordered my pasta and it didn't arrive until after my pasta was served...and I reminded him.
Got reservations at 4 pm on a Saturday night-should have
Got reservations at 4 pm on a Saturday night-should have taken that as a "sign". After initially being told we'd have to sit outside, a table was found and we ordered cocktails and appetizers. The apps showed up but our drinks didn't make it to the table for 15 minutes! Food was good - burrata nice, but no bread? Wont go back anytime soon... for $250 per couple, we were disappointed.
The food wasn't bad, but what bothered me was the service.
There was no support for the single server, other than the manager, who seemed more intent on being part of the party rather than being helpful. Will not be going back.

Was in the area for the day and we found this place on Yelp so we made a reservation just in case it was busy on the weekend. We arrived early and it was busy so they sat us down right away. Our waitress came over right away, gave us some waters, and took are drink orders. We ordered some wine from a couple local wineries and they both were good. Our main dishes were the Cresta Di Gallo, Trumpetti Pork Rago, and the Pancetta Wrapped Rabbit. All of our dishes were cooked great, nice flavor, noodles were al denti, the rabbit was tender, and the rago was delicious as well. The service was great regardless of the restaurant not being busy. Our desert was also delicious. I forgot the name of our desert, sorry.
Nice meal super waiting stafff but seriously…..
Don’t normally review: Arrived on time were directed to a table. Requested another and were told very pleasantly that it was reserved. We were second last to leave the restaurant and the table remained empty all evening . Had a delicious meal - had salad and pizza - requested chilli oil . A fairly usual pizza condiment. ???? 4 dollars on the bill ….. Are you kidding ??? Apparently not. Call me British but WTF!
Found ourselves walking downtown Napa early Sunday evening.
We Felt like Italian so made Open Table reservations at Oenotri. Usually reservations are slim pickings but surprisingly there were wide open spots available. Arrived and we noted the restaurant was half full. Service at first was a bit slow but then picked up. Service was good, excellent recommendations food arrived temperature appropriate and our pasta dishes were flavors bomb. I thought my pasta was a bit salty for my taste but not enough to send back. Not sure why the restaurant was not packed but it worked out to our Favor. We certainly will be back It's a solid pick for Italian when in Napa. Might be in general tourism is a bit down but give Oenotri a god. No photos of pasta unfortunately because I forgot
We were there with a group of 7 plus our 7 month old
We were there with a group of 7 plus our 7 month old granddaughter. We had the pizza which was good, but to be honest it was not a must have dish. The drinks were good and the service was excellent! They were very patient with our infant, who was very curious that evening! We sat out in the courtyard, which worked out well on a nice, but warm evening.
Good Italiano spot in downtown Napa! We went to dinner here
Good Italiano spot in downtown Napa! We went to dinner here with a group of friends and we had a great time. The ambiance was great and the food was good. We ordered a pizza for the table and it was delicious. (Gotta add the chili sauce, it was fire quite literally) My wife and I ordered two different pastas and split them. My pasta (pictured below) was better than hers (she got a seafood pasta) so I forgot we were supposed to split it and I ate it all myself which did not bode well for me but we survived the evening. Overall, I gave it 4 stars because I think it was a little over-priced and the menu was a bit small but nonetheless it provided us a good meal and a great time with friends!
We must've driven up and down 1st Street a hundred times
We must've driven up and down 1st Street a hundred times and passed by Oenotri with its unassuming location. It was a warm day in Downtown Napa so stepping into Oenotri was a refreshing oasis. We started our lunch with a glass of pinot noir and their Classic Bowman. We were on a mission to find a wood fired pizza, so we opted for the Margherita pizza. And because we were also tasting some pasta, we asked if they could also put together a Cacio e Pepe. For one I would say that that this restaurant was very accommodating for our off-season ask. But it wasn't the greatest. It was more of a salt lick than anything. The saving grace of the meal was the Margherita pizza. Simple, delicate and just plain perfect. We punctuated our meal with the recommended Strawberry granita which, to be honest, quickly cleansed our palettes; the Cacio e Pepe was a forgotten memory.
July 6, 2024.
100℉ temperatures in Napa. This restaurant did not have the AC on. We asked our waitress about the AC situation and was told "We have an old system here that is malfunctioning." Restaurant has a wood fire oven, no AC, one fan from the bathroom area and the doors open with no airflow. Seriously? This is absolutely negligent and cruel towards your staff, let alone the customers. As great as our food was, the lack of AC and watching your staff sweat was incredibly awful.
Shockingly bad: ruined birthday celebration This used to
Shockingly bad: ruined birthday celebration This used to be one of our favorite restaurants in downtown Napa so we took our good friend and his family here to celebrate his birthday. Experience was shockingly and disappointingly bad. They gave us burnt pizza not once but twice. What ruined the experience was their attitude. Server and owner Tyler were totally unapologetic and made it seem like we were imposing on them that they tried to push subpar quality pizzas to customers. On this same trip, we had far better pizzas for less at Kitchen Door and Live Fire.
We came here for a celebration of a friend's bday.
We had reservations for a party of 6, we were sat right away. Now keep in mind the menu changes daily so it doesn't matter if you look in here or if we post the menu because when you come it will be different. There is no meals with chicken, only produce they offer is sausage. Wasn't seeing anything that caught my eye on the menu so the server asked us usually what do we like and order. We I formed her Alfredo sauce and server said we can make you Cacio de Pepe with sausage. Not in the menu but she could have them make us it, I agreed with no hesitation. Friends ordered 2 margarita pizzas to share. Now something happened to the pizzas, everyone at the table got their meal but them; not sure if it was the kitchens mistake or the servers but boy did she make up for it, she gave us every appetizer on the menu at no cost to make up for the mistake and provided my friend another glass of red wine. I would definitely want to come back but the only hesitation is that the menu changes daily and with no chicken... but the sausage was pretty good, even though I'm not a fan of it.
Dined here today.
The menu on their website is not the menu you're given at the restaurant. No chicken or shrimp and no French fries. The pizza was really good, light and crispy. The salad with the Meyer lemon dressing was nice. It's $17 versus whatever the price is on their website.
Didn't catch the hostess name working 6/13 evening but
Didn't catch the hostess name working 6/13 evening but thank you for accommodating our reservation. Food was outstanding, service top notch. Thank you Tracy you rock! :)
Oenotri, nestled in the heart of Napa, is a gem for Italian
Oenotri, nestled in the heart of Napa, is a gem for Italian cuisine enthusiasts. Renowned for its Margherita pizza, this spot takes the classic to new heights with a crunchy dough and a savory crust that perfectly balances texture and flavor. The addition of a chili oil sauce adds a delightful kick, making each bite a harmonious blend of spice and authenticity. Beyond pizza, Oenotri excels in its pasta offerings, showcasing a mastery of traditional Italian dishes that leave a lasting impression. However, the standout is undeniably the Margherita pizza. Whether you're a local or a visitor, a trip to Oenotri is a must for experiencing this exceptional pizza.
Good Food
We did not have a problem with getting a reservation mid week. We had a good meal here. The steak pizziaola style was excellent. The Beef carpaccio was also excellent. The service was very good. I would eat here again.
Oe-NO-NO-tri.
We have eaten at Oenotri many time over the years since it first opened on our trips to Napa. It has always been a fun and a delicious dining experience until tonight. Tonight was a horrible experience. We made a reservation two days in advance and we let them know it was our Anniversary. Obviously, no one read the notes in our reservation that it was a special occasion. While I was parking the car the snooty hostess tried show my wife to the worst two top in the restaurant, stuck in a corner up against a wall. Finally, after my wife said we would like another table we were shown to two other tables. That she was told they were "reserved" prior to that. No one from the staff told us glad you are with us on your anniversary or offered a cheap glass of sparkling wine. The straw the broke the camels back was when five people sat down at the table next to us, They were immediately presented with amuse bouches. That was it for me. I went and sought out the manager telling him what had happened. He made up some lame excuse and apologized. He offered to send out something for dessert on the house. I told him that was unnecessary as the damage had already been done and we had eaten their two days prior and didn't even like the desserts on the menu. Anyway, I asked the server for the check. Before she returned back with the bill two desserts and two glasses of dessert wine were brought to the table. Happy Anniversary was written on the plate. Happy Anniversary indeed! Do you know that the manager didn't even have the courtesy to take a minute to come to the table and apologize to my wife. That would have gone a long way more than some desserts and dessert wine that we didn't even like or want. Also while I am at it the server didn't even bother to give us new plates and silverware when the entree came. Needless to say the bill came I signed for it, left a substandard tip (which I never do), we got up and left their peace offering uneaten on the table and bailed. What a crappy way to spend a happy occasion. Very disappointing.
We had reservations and due to the poor weather our Uber
We had reservations and due to the poor weather our Uber was late. We called them twice to keep in touch and make them aware of the situation. We were told they will not hold our reservation. We went anyway because it turned out we were about 10 minutes late. The dark haired hostess with the glasses was completely rude to us. She looked down her nose at us and said that she gave our table away and she will see what she can do. Then the manager came over and was very nice. He explained that a large party was just leaving and they would get us in. The large party left and they seated us at a different table. If our waiter was not as fantastic as he was the night would have been wasted. He spoke broken English and was from Italy. He was fantastic. The food was very good as well but we would not come back because of the hostess. There are many restaurants equivalent to the level of this one with friendly staff.
If you love Italian cuisine make your reservations now
There are so many reviews for this exquisite restaurant that I wonder what more I could add. Suffice to say, get yourself there for lunch or dinner ASAP, the food here is unique and sumptuous; like the white pizza with pistachios…>>insert expletive here<
This is a lovely place for dinner in the downtown of Napa.
Fun vibe and very good food!

Oh my gosh so bummed we wasted a precious dinner in Napa at this restaurant. We arrived early to a completely empty restaurant, only to be sat behind the hostess & the freezing cold air from the outside. There were so many employees working, yet it took over 20 minutes to get water. Waitress was unable to comprehend a request for sparkling water and juice. Our food arrived after 75 minutes and was completely inedible. The pork was a pile of flaccid flavorless fat, brussel sprouts were dripping in oil, and pasta from Costco would have been more palatable. We couldn't wait to leave.

W.O.W. I mean, wow. Here on a Saturday night, it's busy, and people are waiting. I have the advantage of dining alone, so was seated at the "pizza bar" (not limited to pizza). I had a birds eye view of the hustle and bustle happening on the front line of the kitchen. Like being live on an episode of "Hell's Kitchen", without the angry chef, lol. Espresso Martini was divine. Fungi pizza with added Calabrian chili crisp and pancetta was amazing and prepared literally right in front of me. I am bringing all of my friends and family here to witness this! So much fun!!!

Overall, the ambience was good and the service as well from the staff. The dishes we got for dinner were the INTENSO: CREMA, PARMIGIANO-REGGIANO, PISTACHIO AND RED ONION and PORK RAGU LASAGNA: TOMATO, GARLIC, RICOTTA CHEESE, PARMIGIANO-REGGIANO. Unfortunately I was disappointed in both the dishes. The parmigiano- reggiano was over powering most of the other flavors that came on the dishes. I usually love pizza and pasta but they weren't worth finishing. The pizza dough seemed uncooked for being super thin already. The pork on the pasta had no flavor but the pasta was a good texture. Hopefully all the other dishes aren't like this. Thanks for the experience but I rather have to ox& the fox next door.
Disappointing takeout
We had takeout pizza from this restaurant, choosing it because of reviews. Premium prices for what is a small - medium pizza and rather mediocre in Flavour. We had a funghi and a margarita. Staff acted miffed at lack of tip for takeout. Would not return

One of our favorites in Napa! Great Italian food in the heart of Napa. Service was good but it does get a little loud on a weekend. Great pasta dishes and superb pizza. Please... make room for dessert. Salted caramel cream puffs were to die for and don't forget the shot and a scoop! Do you shoot it or drizzle it over the ice cream??? You decide. Overall fun place with good food. Do your shopping at Lululemon then stop in for a bite
We go to the same restaurants we love every time we are in
We go to the same restaurants we love every time we are in town (once a year for my birthday) but decided to change it up this year and try at least one new restaurant and Oenotri was it and it did not disappoint. Ambience: very lively, good/fun music that people were bopping/swaying to, loud (because people were having a good time and celebrating). Just know this place is like this (not a quiet/subdued place) and you won't be disappointed. Service: We had a reservation at 7:30pm via Open Table, was greeted by the hostess, and seated within a minute of checking in. Our waiter was amazing!! Italian guy with a lot of energy, enthusiasm, and love for food. You could see him dance/walking to the music as he went between tables or to get drinks which we thought was very sweet. Everyone we interacted with, from the bartender who brought us our drinks to the others who delivered and took away our plates were very attentive and friendly. Food: We left our fate in the hands of our server and we are glad we did. He enthusiastically recommended the margarita pizza with sausage and arugula and the pork ragu pasta. The pasta dish is not showy in looks but is that good/homey/quality taste you crave in a pasta dish. The pasta was cooked perfectly (that perfect al dente chew) and the flavors were fabulous (apparently simmered for 16+ hours). The wood fired pizza was one of the best pizzas we've had and I've been to some of the best places for pizza in Naples. Light, airy crust, with the perfect amount of char. We actually were not that hungry going into dinner but completely finished both dishes! Our server recommended the chocolate panna cotta. I am personally not a big fan of panna cotta but gave it a whirl as he did not steer us wrong on the entrees. It was good...if panna cotta is your thing, I'm sure it was amazing. We also did try the tangerine granita and that was a perfect ending to a great meal. Light/bright/flavorful and the pieces of fresh mandarin oranges were sweet and juicy bursts of flavor. It was an interesting combination to pair it with toasted marshmallow/meringue. It worked, but I think would have been fine on its own too. Drinks: I had the pineapple mocktail which was delicious! Probably one of the best mocktails I've had (great palate cleanser to start the meal and I feel more reasonably priced at $8 than other mocktails I've had). My husband ordered a Clandestine cab, but the waiter recommended him the Enroute Pinot Noir (same price as his original selection) to pair better with the meal. The waiter gave him a generous tasting to see if he liked it, which my husband did and it did pair very nicely with the meal. If you are looking for an upbeat/lively/casual place with amazing food, you should come here. Recommend making a reservation (easy via Open Table a few days ahead) as it was very busy on a Saturday night. We will definitely be adding this to our annual visits going forward!
Enjoyed the pasta, little gems salad.
The focaccia was amazing. Very good service and great location in the center of Napa town.
One of the best pasta dishes I have ever had was here.
Can't wait to return - such a lovely place and the servers were so kind and warm. Loved the ambiance and walking distance to our hotel in the heart of Napa.
Their margarita pizza - I have dreams about it.
The table next to us heard my partner and I oohing and ahing and were convinced too. Also the lemon vinaigrette salad is perfectly dressed. The sausage dish is a great shared plate too, so flavorful! I've yet to try to salami but that's next visit. Great spot to share a few plates with friends. The atmosphere is the perfect volume, and I've been twice once when it was full and once about half full. Service - generally good! When it's busy, we did wait a bit to be able to order another drink at one point when we already had our food. When it wasn't busy and a group of 5 of us showed up famished that food came out so quick which was a godsend. I'd also say it's a little confusing bc they hand you an ipad thing with the drinks but you don't actually order on it, so a little more clarity on that when seated would be good!
Best food spot for good food and drinks in Downtown Napa!
While exploring downtown Napa, our group met up for brunch at a place famous for its appearances in movies and TV shows. They had indoor and outdoor seating, and we chose the outdoor area to enjoy the beautiful weather. The menu had plenty of tempting dishes, including the chef's special of the day. We tried salads, pizza, pasta, and the chef's recommended dish, and all of them impressed us with their freshness and flavors. The pasta was notably freshly made, and the pizza had carefully selected ingredients that made it really tasty. We also explored their selection of wines and cocktails, enjoying every sip to complement our meal. Our server was outstanding, being friendly, funny, and attentive. She not only recommended excellent food and desserts but also suggested places to visit in Napa, considering our group's dietary restrictions. This place has made a lasting impression on us, and I'm sure I'll make it a definite stop whenever I return to the beautiful Napa Valley.
Very Good Italian
Some very good Italian in a lively setting. The waitstaff were all attentive and made for a fun evening. Our meals were served promptly and at temperature. The mixed greens were really lovely-lightly dressed in a lemon vinaigrette. I am a huge caccio e pepe fan and found this one very tasty. The wine list is reasonable priced. Reservations are recommended and the restaurant was quite busy and loud. They offer outdoor dining which may be a better choice to facilitate conversation.
Pleasant; tasty food and great service.
We arrived early and were greeted and seated at a nice window table. Erin was our server and was friendly and polite and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a very nice dinner, not rushed at all, allowing us time to enjoy the food and conversation. Food was excellent. Ambience was pleasant and not too loud. We enjoyed our visit especially compared to substandard treatment at other “big name” restaurants in the area.
Just OK
Great location but extremely noisy; outside table would be better. Sea bass was a bit overdone and buccatini was WAY TOO HOT; good thing we ordered the spice on the side and avoided it after one taste.
Wonderful Meal - Better Dessert
We enjoyed our dinner at Oenotri. The service was impeccable, our meals were great, and our desserts were among the best we’ve had in many years. Go for the cream puffs and you can thank me later. Legitimately considering returning later in our stay just to get dessert again!
The best Arancini we’ve ever had - everything else was great as well.
Probably the best Italian meal we have had. The arancini were amazing and we could have just kept ordering them but we ordered two pizzas and two pasta dishes and agreed to share. The funghi pizza was great. Everything was. Patrick was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed - thank you.
Delicious and romantic
Delicious homemade pastas. Amazingly fresh salads. Brenda is excellent, friendly server. Nice wine list although few local options!

This was my best meal while in Napa--I wandered in, sat at the bar with a fun group of strangers and ate...and ate...the tuna was the best I've ever had, hands down. Amazing. Pizza was great and drinks were not skimpy--which is common here. I will return every time I'm in the area. Fantastic!!
Mainly getting 4 stars because of the food.
All of the food our table ordered was delicious, although our server was a bit standoffish and unpleasant. Our food also came out all at different times, and about 5 minutes apart, so while we were waiting for all of the dishes to arrive, the ones that were sitting on our table were getting cold. The food is a bit pricey, especially for pasta, but you do get nice portions.
The food here is always good, and has been a show stopper
The food here is always good, and has been a show stopper for over a decade. I have enjoyed their light and airy pizzas - they redefine pizza, and their pastas and wine list are always great. I'm stopping by to mention that I recently bought my dad an electronic gift card here as I now live out of state--he's born and raised in Napa--me too, but he had never eaten at Oenotri, so I thought it would be a nice experience. While we ran into a snag with his email--Hannah, the manager, helped me figure this out very quickly from my end, and I'm sure she sacrificed her time to personally take care of this and hand deliver a physical card to his home. Above and beyond--and I'm grateful. In recent years it's been difficult for locals to watch Napa change into such a touristy spot (my dad remembers the time when Yountville was the part of town you didn't want to be from--a far cry from the gourmet destination it is now!)--but it's nice to see some people still care about the locals and not just the tourists. Thank you Hannah & Oenotri for taking care of my family.
My sister recommended this place in downtown Napa.
Get the Quattro formaggi pizza and arugula pesto pasta! Excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed. It was nice to see some vegetarian options, but I would not necessarily recommend this place for vegans - maybe if you called ahead. Pasta is made in house and you can tell. I would pass on the Grilled artichokes. They were cold unclear if that was intentional and not much flavor in the dish.Contorni section of menu is a great place to put vegetables and I thought that was lacking - artichokes were the only option. While the polenta sounded good we really just wanted some vegetables with our carb loaded mains. My friend is gluten free and they were able to sub any pasta except lasagna gluten free. Not sure about GF pizza. The ice cream is creamy, but not super flavorful. It didn't taste or feel like gelato you get in Italian shops. We tried both the caramel and the stracciatella- which was lacking in chocolate. Not bad just not excellent like our main dishes. What was annoying was that I triple checked when ordering dessert that the ice cream and cookie was a gluten free dessert - the menu listed gelato and a meringue cookie. the server was certain it's gluten free but the food runner brought out a wheat based chocolate chip cookie and insisted this was the correct cookie, that there was no other cookie in house. This is frustrating because had I not noticed the cookie was different, my friend would have accidentally eaten it. The server should have marked the ticket gluten free so it would not even hit our table or be on a separate plate with a heads up that there is a change. I made sure my celiac friend didn't eat the cookie and we started to eat the ice cream. We didn't ask for a manager or anything but he came out anyway and brought a plate of the correct gluten free cookie which is listed on the menu. That was nice.I'm leaving off one star because the artichokes were cold and the allergy mishap. Otherwise ambience and pasta and pizza were great and we would certainly come back.
This was my first time here.
And I was blown away. They didn't have room for us but Olivia made room. Our server, I am sorry I didnt get her name, however she was great. Knowledgeable, nice and efficient. The restaurant was busy however they all took excellent care of us and paid attention to every detail. And the food!!! OMG one of the best pesto pastas I have had in a long time. The Pizza and beet salad was also very delicious. I am mad at myself for taking soo long to come here. Love Love Love it. Will be back for sure!!!
Finally able to try Oenotri - worth the wait! Amazing food,
Finally able to try Oenotri - worth the wait! Amazing food, incredible service, we had a wonderful experience
My cousin made reservations for a girls weekend.
Neither of us have ever been. The ambience and staff were great. Wine was good. We ordered the Brussel sprouts- fabulous. Mixed lettuce salad - good. Pasta with short rib- great flavor but lack luster. Only a couple of pieces of meat. For the price, go somewhere or cook at home for a full meal unfortunately.
Made reservations here on a Thursday evening with a friend.
It was pretty packed. We got sat right away. Service was great, fast and attentive. The ambiance was nice and chill. We ordered pizza and pasta and ultimate not impressed with either. The food was lacking season. I enjoyed my wine but my friend didn't enjoy hers. Overall it was just "ok" I expect more for Napa and the price.
