I finally got around to trying out this place and absolutely LOVED it. I tried the one toast, you toast and requested for a poached egg to be added. It was very delicious and I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu. I came here on a Monday around 12:30pm and it was definitely a little busy but they still had some empty tables enough for more people to be seated right away. There was no line up. I think they do have a waitlist option on Yelp but I don't think they take reservations so do keep this in mind

Have been revisiting 3 times with family to make sure if I was wrong about this popular place as it is so hard to get a seat. But no, I don't think the food was great enough for a line up like 30-60mins waiting. It is just a normal brunch place serve normal food. Tried almost all the popular ones on menu but nothing special.

Great place to brunch! I have frequently visited the one in yaletown, and honestly, I have to say I prefer this location as it is clean, bright, spacious, and less crowded. I came here for a birthday brunch with friends. We had the mimosa flights and it was great! I suggest starting with the grapefruit first. Otherwise, it might be too tart. I love the fresh ingredients and the way the food was prepared. The server was nice. I would say the blue crab benny is my favorite. Their salmon benny is pretty good too! I will definitely be back!

Wow. Extensive menu, lots of great choices and dishes and great service. We had to wait 45 mins for a table but Every dish we had was excellent. Chai latte was excellent. The only reason 4/5 stars was the price was very high for brunch for 4 people.
Be the first to ReplyAlways busy, always good.
We put ourselves on the waitlist via Yelp around 10am, and there was already an hour wait. We were seated around 11:10am. We got the duck club and gold digga. The duck club was delicious. The duck was tender, the hoisin mayonnaise gave it a light sweetness to go along with the pickled onions and the peppery arugula. It was on toasted rye bread, which was a bit too hard. If it was on a softer bun/bread, then I think it would be perfect. The gold digga was good. The Berkshire pork and black truffle goes well as you get the saltiness from the pork and the fruitiness from the truffle. You get 2 poached eggs. I asked for half arugula salad and half potatoes as the base. We would recommend these if you want something other than benny. Next time we go, we will try other dishes to see how they are.

3.5 Stars Busy on a Saturday Afternoon but we were able to snag seats at the bar. Pros: The menu is HUGE and has so many creative inventions and protein options (duck, crab, salmon, etc.) I had the A-Lott A-Lax "Poutine" - I subbed the potatoes with greens so it was essentially a salad with loc, eggs, cheese, and hollandaise. Hit the spot on a day I was trying to be "good" :) BF got the Belgian Waffle ($15) with Fresh Whipped Cream ($2) and said it was the "Best Waffle he has ever had". Nits: Vanilla Latte ($6.5) hardly had any foam and essentially no Vanilla BF ordered two scrambled eggs ($5) while the kitchen was closing and said they were just not good. I didn't try them so I don't have further details. Staff is so cheery and attentive!
Be the first to ReplyAlways love eating at OEB.
Since they opened in 2021, they've always been a go-to brunch spot for my family, friends and myself. Over the years, prices have slightly gone up (what's new though?), but the quality still remains top-notch. Just a tip, if you're visiting on a weekend, make sure to use the Yelp waitlist feature or book a reservation in advance because it's always busy!

Friendly service, fairly priced and good overall food my only complaint it's that when it gets busy it can get a bit messy from long waits to get a table to waiting extra for your food.
Be the first to ReplyThere's always a line at OEB regardless of what day or time
There's always a line at OEB regardless of what day or time you go, but obviously weekends are the worst. It's a great place for brunch, a bit on the pricey end, but the food is solid. I usually get a Benny cause their hollandaise is delicious - rich but not too heavy and balanced by the lemon juice - but I wish they came on something other than that croissant type bun. It's a bit flat and doesn't soak the egg yolks and hollandaise. Their duck fat fried potatoes are delicious, and I wish there were more of them on the plate! Their breakfast poutines are solid as well cause they're made with these delicious duck fat fried potatoes, covered in hollandaise, cheese curds and topped with a poached egg. The pork belly one is probably my favourite. Definitely worth checking out for brunch if you're in the areas, just be ready to wait in line!

we got the wait list and waited TWO HOURS only to arrive on time to be told "sorry, peasant you have to wait another 45 minutes longer. " We had only one window for a breakfast on the weekend and wasted on this......place. NOT WORTH IT!YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Come here for brunch almost every weekend! Great brunch spot and the food is amazing! Only complaint is the wait time, but other than that, 10/10!

I loved the food but unless it's a slow time it's pretty much impossible to get a table. Who wants to wait an hour!

The wait time is crazy but the online wait list was pretty easy to get into. We had a couple hours wait time on the weekend, just have to get up early if you want to make it for breakfast/lunch. It was no problem for us.I had the French Toast Trifle. It was okay, I liked the lemon curd on it but I found it a little dry. You have to pay extra $1.50 for a tiny cup of syrup if you want that. Overall, I wouldn't order it again. My bf had the Holy Crab, it tasted great. I would definitely recommend ordering that if you want something savoury.Service was alright. They sit you down, take your order and that's that. A little hard to get their attention because they're busy but the staff is nice. The place itself has a really bright and homey feeling even on rainy days.

This is the best restaurant to have breakfast or brunch in Metro Vancouver, by far. I still haven't had a dish I didn't like. True, the wait list takes forever but it's worth it. Particularly for the French toast with that orange taste.

I recently visited OEB in Brentwood and tried their Breakfast Poutines dish called Gold Digga. It was a delicious combination of Saint Cyrille curds, slow cooked bacon lardons, and brown butter hollandaise that was topped with poached eggs and herb potatoes fried in beef tallow and half arugula. It was a satisfying and flavourful dish that I would definitely recommend. In addition to the poutines, I also tried their crostini served on a large sliced of rustic French bread. It was a perfect mix of flavours with fresh smashed avocado, garbanzo bean hummus, tomato jam, and fresh herbs. To wash it all down, I had a latte which was perfectly brewed and had a rich, smooth flavour. There was an abundance of natural light in the restaurant, which made for a warm and inviting atmosphere.I was also impressed with the Yelp waitlist system at OEB, which made the process of getting a table quick and hassle-free. I wish more restaurants would adopt this system.Overall, I had a fantastic experience at OEB and would recommend it to anyone looking for a delicious breakfast option. The food was great, the atmosphere was cozy, and the service was pleasant.
