Noz Market New York Reviews from The Last Year
My first time getting omakase and let me tell you, it's
My first time getting omakase and let me tell you, it's good.. but it's $$$$$$. We came here to celebrate mh friend's birthday and the experience was super cool - you get a set course and the chef prepares it in front of you. My favorite was the Miyazaki mango which the chef says they sell one mango for $100 (not sure if he was joking though). I also really liked the toro cuts and the hamachi hand roll was yummy! The seaweed here is very crispy and fresh. Our bill for 3 people came out to be $1,100 since we also ordered a bottle of sake and more sushi on top of the omakase. The omakase is $185 per person for dinner and like all places, you probably need a few more pieces on top of the omakase set to be full. Overall, cool experience, awesome staff, but hard for me to come back unless it's for a special occasion!
Might be some of the best sushi I've ever had.
Nori perfectly toasted, rice perfect and the fillings on each hand roll was *chef's kiss. What a great way to get a little nibble of something amazing without having to commit to an entire omakase menu. Wish I could give it 10 stars
Came with my bestie after work to catch their handroll
Came with my bestie after work to catch their handroll happy hour. Even it's happy hour, you're only able to order each handroll once for $12. Afterwards, it'd be original price. Honestly, there's nothing special about the handrolls. Each one had so much rice in it that we both were so full after 5 handrolls each. We're stuffed but not satisfied. In addition, some handrolls were over seasoned. I'd go Kazunori for my handroll fix from now on.
Best in nyc.
Hands roll down. Extremely fresh and such pleasant staff. Recommended for a fun stop in
Literally the worst sushi experience I've had in my life.
Got super sick, absurdly no piece tasted about a 3 out of 10. Expensive compared to the longstanding NY staples. Never again- there are so many better options than this place. People were nice enough- not their fault but shocked at how awful this was.
Very nice and lowkey spot.
One side is omakase/a la carte seating and the other side is a stand up hand roll bar. I loved the quick hand roll bar concept and the handrolls were so fresh, as the chef waited to make the next handroll so the seaweed stayed fresh. I went for happy hour for $10 handrolls and I would definitely go back. Would love to try the omakase section.
I haven't tried the omakase (one day I will)- my review is
I haven't tried the omakase (one day I will)- my review is for the standing bar right by the entrance. My friend told me about this place and since we were in the neighborhood, we stopped by. You'll need a reservation for the omakase but since we were totally fine with standing, we went promptly... err stood? parked? (what's the standing version of seated?) at two spots at the handrail counter. It was after peak lunch time on a Saturday so we were the only ones at the counter. Check out the menu- they have several "set" handroll menus and you can also order a la carte. I got the set of 4, which included tuna, grilled salmon pate, scallop and plum shiso/cucumber handrolls. The scallop was my favorite, followed by the plum shiso/cucumber roll as it was a really refreshing way to end my meal. Fish was fresh and the nori was crispy! Wasn't blown away but would recommend if you want a quick bite.
Hands down my new fave omakase in the city that's under
Hands down my new fave omakase in the city that's under $100. For $85, you get 7-8 pieces of nigiri + a handroll + miso soup + dessert (Tamago + fresh fruit), which is enough to sate even a hungry gal like me. And if you want more, order a la carte, where you can choose from the handrolls that they're currently going viral for (I got the scallop + caviar and the king crab + anchovy). Chef Taka was SO SWEET and chatted with me throughout the meal (I was alone because normalize dining alone ); we exchanged restos to eat at and I found out he's literally been a chef for 30+ years of his life, which makes sense because his movements were ART and DANCE but in the form of sushi making. I was so in awe I didn't even wanna take vids lmao. Cannot recommend enough. Definitely will be coming again and will hopefully be able to try Sushi Noz next door in the future
Noz Market is an outstanding restaurant.
I went there for lunch and had a great time. The sushi is fresh and the chef is knowledgeable and friendly. From king salmon to belt-fish to the shrimp, everything was exquisitely prepared . The lunch comes with about 9 courses and towards the end you can add additional items at various price points. From beginning to end, I enjoyed the vibe, experience and food.
Cute little standing counter upfront where you can order
Cute little standing counter upfront where you can order items and takeout boxes (the hand rolls are counter only). Further in the back there is an omakase option, which is more of expensive. Service is fast and the hand rolls are tasty. Bonus4 pretty baby friendly at the counter! Would swing by more often if closer!

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.

Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it? |
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid? |
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted. |
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from? |
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered? |
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
How to list a Nobu Malibu reservation
Hi, I have a reservation to Nobu Malibu, but since they don't do text or e-mail confirmations I haven't been able to get my reservation posted. I have posted a screen shot of the phone conversation on the listing, but it keeps getting rejected. If anyone has an idea how I can get it approved that would be much appreciated, thanks!

Give the best answerConcierge change fulfillment time
I posted a request for a reservation this Thursday between 6:30 and 8 pm and initially the potential seller said it would be fulfilled by today. Now they changed it that they will only fulfill it by 5pm that same day. Basically I would have an hour and a half to get to the restaurant. Is this allowed?

Give the best answerApp
This app is a catfish and overrun by people programming “bots” and algorithms. It makes it frustrating for someone not well versed in this to have any movement. I thought this would be a fun side hustle, but unfortunately it’s become like any other “side hustle”. Don’t waste your time with this crap. Not a question, just a suggestion. Also don’t pay these fake “gurus” hundreds of dollars to teach you. Might as well sign up for a software class. 😕
