Really enjoyed our meal here last night.
From the small bites to the entrees, everything was bursting with unique and delicious flavors. There were four of us, which allowed us to try a lot of different items, which I'd recommend. Service was attentive and kind, even though they were full. My only small comment is that the drink list is very limited. Maybe three beers and three Lebanese wines. The Lebanese white was good, but it would have been fun to have other options after finishing the bottle.
Be the first to ReplyA really cozy space and has a neat setup.
You can order from the bar and some staff will bring it over for you. Deserts are good too. The eggplant is delicious, would order it again.

Lebanese dinner at @nabilasbrooklyn ! The staff were pretty nice, and I really enjoyed the chicken rice with their flavorful garlic sauce. The batata harrah (fried potatoes) were also very new to me - crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Yummy! These were too much food for two people though...
Be the first to ReplyThis is quite a unique place.
The food is very good, and it is served in an informal and elegant way by a crow of young people. Everything is exposed in a sort of kitchen buffet, you order from. Try to go with a couple of friends so that you can taste it all. The design of the space is cared and refined. If the entrance area feels like what high-end kitchens are supposed to look like, maybe a bit over-designed; the dinning room is very nice, light and simple. A bit on the shakers' side. Not what you would expect in a Lebanese restaurant. The surprise feels refreshing. Don't miss this one.
Be the first to ReplyI don't really understand all the good reviews.
This place is casual, you order at the front like a fast food joint and the food is premade. Casual isn't bad, actually the neighborhood needs more casual places, but it's priced like it's fancy. A $24 entree but you can't come to the table and take my order. The food is mediocre as well, nothing bad but nothing that great. For half the price, it'd be a great addition to the neighborhood. As it stands, it's just way, way too expensive.
Be the first to ReplyOkay this place is legit.
You know what? It might just be my new favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. The wife and I strolled in for a casual Sunday night dinner around 6, and were instantly granted a table. You order at the front and the staff can provide insight there but the host/food runners are very knowledgeable as well. We ordered the following:- Baba Ghannouj 9/10 (with a dang near perfect warm pita)- Sfeeha 10/10 (just a small bite but maybe the best out of the entire meal. Bursting with flavor!)- Kibbeh Sanieh Vegetarian 10/10 (wife's dish, rly dense in a good way. Filling and tasty, no notes)- Rice Hashwi & Chicken 10/10 (tender roasted chicken with delightfully crispy skin and delicious rice with beef & nuts)- Knafeh Ashta 20/10! (scored with the seasonal pumpkin filled one and it's everything you want in a dessert - fried dough, creamy pumpkin pie custard, drizzled with honey with a dash of attar on top)Oh and best of all, they had a beer from an Iranian home brewer that I've been looking for everywhere! I tried the Persian Lager but def going back for the Sumac Gose. And some more dishes like the Sheesh Barak dumplings and the Batata Harrah. So yeah, what more could one ask for? Vibes are immaculate and feels like a family operated establishment through and through. Will def be back and if you've read this far you should go too!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely delicious.
Sophisticated flavor. Everything was so good. Get the potatoes dish, it's amazing. Will come back for sure
Be the first to ReplyI got the atayef ashta to go and enjoyed it.
It's my first time trying it so I don't have anything else to compare it to, but it wasn't too sweet and had a nice fried crispy texture. The service upfront was quick and attentive for takeout, and the interior looked nice. I will come back again to try the other foods.

Heard a lot of good things about this restaurant so was excited to try it. The people who work there are very nice and the food is good. It's focused on sharing and is fancy cafeteria concept. So why the 3 stars? While I must commend the heroic efforts of the host, who operates under tremendous pressure, and the wait staff who do not usually get tipped at the table but still give the highest level of effort and service, and the food which is rather flavorful, the actual experience leaves a lot to be desired. A lot of burden is placed on the diner to "order at the counter" which basically ends up being an 20-30 minutes ordeal when they are busy. Also, the counter display with all the covered dishes cause the ordering customers to ask a lot of info about the food, further slowing down the line. There are actually sufficient staff to take orders at the table. They just need a way to organize the orders for prep. If you go during a busy time you have to wait over 30 mins for a seat then up to 30 mins to order and up to 30 mins for food. Not a relaxing experience to say the least, and for dinner service you just expect a bit more. The acoustics are also not good and they could do with some sound dampening decor/insulation. The food is good but not good enough for the ordeal to be worth it. Hoping they open for lunch / improve the operations, as I won't be back til then. It's a very new place so the potential is there, hopefully they can refine the execution.
Be the first to ReplyShort review: Get the batata harra.
Get any dessert as they are all good. Small portions of pretty good food in general. Would go often for desserts if they weren't open only for dinner for some reason.I've been to this interesting Lebanese restaurant twice. The first time I only had a dessert while the other time I had a full meal. They have an interesting concept where a lot of this stuff is already prepared and it almost feels like a very fancy cafeteria. I would say that compared to other spots, some of the mezze I had could definitely use a bit more spice or flavor but if you're looking for a light refined version of Lebanese food that isn't overwhelmingly rich; it's a good spot. It's also quite a good spot for people who have allergies as they clearly label everything. In general, I would say that the food is for sharing. The mezzes for instance are priced per piece. For drinks, they have a nice selection of Lebanese wines but I went with a BKE kombucha as they surprisingly had a limited strawberry rhubarb version which was $5s and tasty. The service is friendly and I believe I also met one of the owners who also seemed very nice.Mezze And Other Appetizers:Batata Harrah ($10-) Confit & fried potatoes, crushed red pepper, garlic, cilantro This was the newest thing added to the menu and it was by far my favorite thing along with the desserts. The potatoes were a nice mix of crisp and soft and the red pepper had a wonderful spice kick that wasn't overwhelming.Beef Kibbeh ($3-) Bulgur, allspice, cinnamon, and pine nuts Nice tiny version of this. Nice crisp outside from the bulgur. A bit sweet but I tend to find this to be the case with most Lebanese versions of kibbeh. I have had better but it was still good.Sfeeha ($2.50-) Seasoned beef, tomatoes, green pepper, cayenne Also spelled Sfiha, I actually liked how small it was as I find the larger ones to be almost overly sweet. It did lack a crunch however but this was because usually this also contains pine nuts just like the kibbeh. Alright.Main:Kibbeh Sanieh Vegetarian ($15-) Baked, sliced, and served with cabbage salad & yogurt sauce Usually this dish has beef or lamb but this is a good option for vegetarians among the sea of good options here. Good texture with the yogurt sauce adding some good sourness and the Cabbage adding some crunch. I do hope they add the more traditional beef or lamb version as it was definitely missing that extra flavor I associate with this idsh. If they added a meat version, I would definitely order this along with the batata harrah and be very happy with my meal. Desserts:Atayef Ashta ($4.50-) Pastry stuffed with Lebanese custard, fried & tossed in attar This was a delicious version of this dish. Perfectly fried and not overly sweet. Good version of ashta; a custard that I am quite familiar with. I guess my only complaint would be that there isn't really enough pistachios on top but that's more of a garnish anyway.Knafeh Ashta $9 (V NF-) Shredded fillo with Lebanese custard, baked & topped with attar I in general prefer the Lebanese and Palestinian versions of this widely varied dish and they make a nice version here. I am assuming they heat it there but this was what I ordered when I took out once. Nice custard as before and a good texture to the knafeh/kunefe/insert name here. Would recommend as well.Food is solid but a bit pricey for the atmosphere. I can see the good intentions with one of the appetizers, the main to an extent, and the dessert, but it is still a little bit too much.

This place has a really cute ambiance for a relaxed meal (I say relaxed because you shouldn't dine in if you're in a hurry--service is on the slower side). The concept is interesting because you get seated by the host first, then go to the front counter to order your food. Everything has been prepared already and is just sitting behind the counter. Then, after you pay, the servers slowly bring out the things you've ordered to your table. The prices look great at first but the portions are definitely on the small side. 2 of us spent around $30 each for a filling meal.We tried all of the small bites ($2-$2.50). I liked that all of them had their own unique flavor profiles, but I would have liked them more if they were warm. I appreciated that the kibbeh wasn't too greasy. We also got the sheesh barak ($15) which were so tiny! I saw pictures of them online and did not expect them to be smaller than 1 inch in diameter. I loved the yogurt sauce they came with though, which was herby and refreshingly tart. The freekeh & lamb ($21) was a pretty big portion but I was not a fan. The grain was a bit too mushy for my liking and the lamb, while tender, didn't have very much flavor to it. Don't skip the dessert here! We tried the knafeh ashta ($7) and atayef ashta ($3). The pastry was nice and crispy while the custard filling wasn't too overwhelmingly sweet. If I'm in the area and in the mood for a light snack, I could see myself stopping by for some of the small bites or their desserts.

A great addition to the neighborhood!! The space is stunning, service is friendly and food is some of the best Lebanese I've ever had. Everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Some of my favorites were the veggie kibbeh, beet dip, couscous, and fatayer. A great spot for families, with more of a fast casual vibe. Prices are a tad bit on the high side. If it were more moderately priced, I'd be there everyday. Either way, welcome to the neighborhood! I'll be a regular.
Be the first to ReplyBest Lebanese food I have ever had.
Between me and my friend we tried almost everything on the menu and will be back to tackle the rest. The mammoul was perfect, no extra unnecessary dough, just the perfect amount and soft dates and that orange blossom water, so good! I am not usually a fan of Knafeh Ashta but I tasted my friends and it was so amazing. Both kibbehs, beef and the vegetarian versions were so flavorful and cooked just right with that crispy outside. Stuffed cabbage, sfeeha, tabbouleh and hummus also right up there. Fresh, delicious, flavorful, indoor and outdoor seating, great staff and service. Choukrane!

Some of the food is quite good such as the beet dip and the green beans in tomato sauce. The problem is their service model is flawed. It took 25 minutes standing in line just to place the order. Then another 25 or 30 minutes before they delivered the food to our table. Rather mystifying given that all the food is premade and not to order. Then of course you have to send a scout to secure a table so that when your food comes you are not left standing or transitioning to take out. Not exactly the relaxing dinner I was hoping for.The place itself is pleasant enough. What I might call "cafeteria chic". Servers are friendly and do try their best.I suppose I might go again but only if there are but one or two people standing in line. Otherwise there are lots of other fine places in the neighborhood.

Nabila's offers an unexpected and beautiful dining experience. This food is fresher and tastier than anything I've eaten before in the Middle Eastern / Lebanese genre. Classic dishes like kibbeh are insanely good, and the lesser- known side dishes, such as cabbage rolls and egggplant salad, are delicious. Nabila's knafeh - a voluptuous, delicate dessert that cannot be explained in words - transformed this place from a great restaurant to a great experience for me. A glorious NYC dining spot.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is in the old Watty & Meg space on Court & Kane.
It's better than having the space empty but it doesn't matter to us as one visit was enough. I had my reservations upon walking in and discovering the cafeteria style service (you pick & pay and then find a table and food is brought to you). Looking over half empty platters of food sitting out behind glass was not very appetizing but we gave it a go. We has the Fatoush salad (soggy) and the beet Mutabi which was tasty but again I wasn't sure how long the little bowls had been sitting out. My husband had the chicken as well and he said it was just ok. We wanted to have a nice chilled glass of wine (so far only wine service) but again these were sitting at room temp in a bucket without ice or chilled water. We eat out a lot and enjoy a good meal so we were disappointed in this new venture. I just don't get the whole cafeteria service model. It wasn't even hot yesterday, I can't imagine what things will be like when it gets really hot out and all that food is just sitting waiting for someone to order it. Maybe if you come right at 5:30 when they open and things are first put out it would be ok. We came around 7:30-8. I wish them well but we won't be back.
