Mirabelle Roma Reviews from The Last Year
Wow Vow Renewal
We held our vow renewal here last week and it was simply amazing. The staff (with the exception of one very stroppy lady who told us to stop playing our music) were absolutely fantastic, particularly Sandra and Weslie who made our day so much better. The food was incredible, we had a completely vegetarian meal and it was so delicious!! The ceremony was held on the terrace of the Mirabelle restaurant which has the most fantastic views over the park and you can see to the Pantheon and the Vatican. We had the best day and thank all of the team at the restaurant for the brilliant food and service.
THE GREAT DISAPPOINTMENT
Unfortunately disappointed, we went for Mother's Day and had a brunch knowing the price per person was €80. It's not a question of money otherwise I wouldn't have gone... but a 5 star hotel at €80 per person must bring me much more refined products... very cheap jars of jam or single portion butter from a 3 star hotel... or juice of orange instead of freshly squeezed juice... the first courses were very good... but too little for €80 per person. The view is beautiful but in Rome it is full of terraces the price does not justify anything of what is there... I'm very sorry, I wanted to try it for a long time.
Use on honeymoon
When I made the reservation, I requested a table on the terrace, and they seated me with a great view. The food was delicious, and the sommelier carefully selected my wine.
Dream restaurant for kindness, view and food!
We returned to this enchanting place after many years. We were welcomed impeccably, with class, attention to detail and attention to the guest truly from another era. Food doesn't need any particular comments: even a simple Caesar Salad can be a delicious dish, if prepared properly. And this was… The different types of bread and focaccia were also excellent. Thanks for the wonderful experience!
Good experience
A really nice view spot, with excellent food and wine. Deserved Michelin ranking. We took 2 menus with 2 cops of wine, received a lot of compliments from the place free, paid 280€ two of us 🔥
Wish I could get my money and my time back
VERY bad food for what you paid. Over €300 for two people and what we got were two completely normal starters and each a spaghetti (which was worse than what you cook yourself at home) and a glass of prosecco each. Absolutely fine view but this may have been the biggest blow. NOT worth the money at all. Go somewhere else and get 3-5 nice lunches for two somewhere else.
Expectations exceeded
Very attentive service All courses tasted excellent The wine pairing was very appropriate View of Rome - breathtaking
Don’t go here ;)
- Food was ok, nothing special. I would give it a 6. - View was amazing. - Service was terrible - our attendant coughed into his hand and removed my wife's plate while I was still eating. Paid 560 for 2. (€17 euro for a half glas of wine; and this was the cheaper wine) - I was there at 19:00 and had to leave at 21:00 I felt pretty ripped off afterwards. ! ! ! Do not go here! ! ! :)
Mmm…
We were a little disappointed with this restaurant. The food was absolutely average, but the wine pairing was excellent. The mise en place is a bit cheap for a place of this level, with a plastic vase and glitter and a lamp. The price is very high but nothing to say about this, too bad it doesn't correspond to the food we ate. The hotel of which the restaurant is part is wonderful, elegant and precious in its furnishings. The restaurant… well… it could be better.
Mirabelle Rome A Mess
The evening began with a pretentious and rude greeting (No “Good evening and welcome.” Instead, a surly “You must leave your table by 9pm.”). It ended with the service of a nice but overworked and rattled waiter dropping dirty silverware on my shirt. This place is a mess. The view is fantastic and the food — when the kitchen eventually got something to the table — was good. The rest of the experience was so bad, it was almost (not quite) funny. It was 45 minutes between courses (A kitchen meltdown?), no wine service after first 30 minutes, pounding DJ techno music from an upstairs bar, the remarkably rude hostess, and wait staff on the floor wandering around and hiding because they didn’t know what to do about the collapse. This seems to be a place hanging on to its past reputation while struggling with serious service and management issues today. You can do far better finding a great meal and view at a fraction of the price elsewhere in Rome.

View was nice, one of the only good thing about this place.
Asked for the tuna and it came out still flopping and with a heartbeat (not literally but it felt like it). Service was ok, cut up my food so it looked like I ate it and he came over and hovered over us with a hairy eyeball. I don't personally care about the dress code but saw people arguing with the waiter over their relative not being allowed in because he had shorts on (would like to say dress code is pretty clear though). Wouldn't recommend.

To start off this place has an amazing view of the city-instagram worthy pics for sure. Dress fancy- I wore a cotton dress and my husband wore khakis and a button down shirt and while we weren't underdressed, there were full length dresses and suits on most people. We were seated outside for our dinner, which was great. We were greeted promptly and service throughout the meal was great. We dhad pre-booked the 3 course menu, but I got the sense you could change once you got there. The menu included an appetizer, choice of a first or second course and dessert. The stand out for me was the carrot gnocchi ; it was one of the top 2 gnocchi I have ever had, the nuts on top made the dish. My husband had the octopus and while it was difficult to cut, it wasn't tough to eat. We opted to add some dishes for a total of 9 plates between 2 people, and it was the perfect amount of food. The meal was good, but not as stand out as some of the other pairings we have done. Wine pairing was great.
Horrible experience, food and service is over priced.
Waiter was pretty adamant we leave a tip. Our bill for two soups, two glasses of wine and one pasta dish cost euro 300.
Visited for lunch.
The patio is enclosed in glass which makes it more reasonable for those who are not fond of outdoor dining. We were given a prime table and the view was spectacular. We each did a 3-course full menu for lunch and the food was great. Some of the other reviews would have you thinking that this restaurant is all about the view and nothing else... make no mistake, this is fine dining and totally deserving of the Michelin award.
So I can tell they have an issue trying to be a luxury
So I can tell they have an issue trying to be a luxury restaurant but they get criticism for turning away poorly dressed Americans. My experience was the opposite. While awaiting our room we went up for a snack. Others were presented a bar menu as they were attired in flip flops, shorts and tee shirts while talking loudly on their phones, but we were only given the full menu option. It's quite expensive and fine for dinner but the bar menu would have been preferable as we were just waiting to settle into rooms. My takeaway is that they need to decide who they are. Either let in the sloppily dressed and go casual or maintain some standards. But you cannot have it both ways.
Absolute Ashtray.
Sat outside for the views for a big anniversary, turned into a bowling alley. The food is good, but without the side of lung cancer.
This view is amazing! They could cut corners on the food
This view is amazing! They could cut corners on the food and service but this place delivers on all fronts! We saw 2 birthday parties and one engagement (she said yes!) so this is definitely a special occasion restaurant. Get there early enough to have a drink on the top deck, the Sky Bar. I should have taken more photos for my review but I was enjoying myself too much to think about photos! Yum!

I could only think of the rigged Michelin star system as portrayed on the Netflix series "Emily in Paris." They are lucky to have a whole star. The only thing you are paying for here is the view which is nice if the host take care of you and get an outside table. Otherwise you're stuck inside which is not that impressive. Also despite the website stating: "gentlemen are requested to wear trousers and shirts. Shorts, men's sleeveless shirts and flip flops are not permitted in the restaurant during dinner." Yes it's hot in Rome in July but the clientele looked more ready to visit Disney World in Florida rather than a supposed classy establishment with a Michelin star. I went to the trouble of adhering to the dress code despite the heat - it felt more like an overpriced Olive Garden when I looked around. As for the food - we chose the 4 course a La carte. course 1 was a cous cous with a raw seafood platter. It was not bad. Maybe a 8 out of 10. Course 2 was a squid ink pasta with squid and octopus. 10/10 - was absolutely amazing and wish that's all I had was a larger portion. Course 3 (main) a beef filet that was ordered medium rare but came out medium well plus. After the long wait between courses I just ate it. Course 4 was a chocolate of some sort - cheated out of ice cream. And ordered order the soufflé but they were allegedly out. 7 of 10 since cheated of ice cream. 5/10 overall. Buyer beware. Do your research. I bet there are a lot other better Michelin ranked restaurants in Rome to choose from.
After planning an Amazing birthday party- the restaurant
After planning an Amazing birthday party- the restaurant staff totally dropped the ball. The first five minutes went smotthly- and then it was as if they closed our side of the restaurant. We never received our Amuse Bouchè. My first plate was a risotto course- and it arrived cold, and shaped like a square hash brown. Definitely not what we expected. Cuisine was mediocre at best- and we all ordered the 2nd main course of Lobster. It was served cold style and in a salad. More of a luncheon dish and Hardly worth the extra supplement of an additional 30 Euros. We don't mind paying $250 per person for a dinner, but we should leave full and feeling like we were pampered. Neither happened this evening. Our wine sommelier was not very helpful. We had no budget and we each enjoy white and red wines. Typically we order 4 bottles at the minimum- but there was not a chance to order more. We ended up pouring our own wines ourselves and constantly needed to beg for water all night long. Definitely our table of 6 was forgotten about. Typically a good manager roams the restaurant checking on the guests. Not here. Tables around us seemed ignored and looking for service as well. We did notice the outdoor patio tables getting much more attentive service. It's also the smoking section so be warned if you don't like to inhale constant cigarette smoke throughout your meal. Everyone was smoking on the outside patio. I did eventually summon the manager aside in private , and I conveyed to him that I was embarrassed in front of my esteemed guests - who were expecting a decadent Michelin experience. They even forgot the fancy cake that I had special ordered in advance. In the end- the busser who serves the bread and replaces the silverware became our only waiter- and the rest of the restaurant staff began to break down tables, chat amongst themselves and clean up as if the place was closed. The most unwelcome feeling when you are sitting around with your dirty plates and waiting to order more wine, coffee and celebrate with a non existent Birthday cake. My husband had to basically stay behind to settle the bill. He had to actually get up and go find someone to pay. That was doubly insulting. All of our party guests went back to their rooms and not one said that they enjoyed the meal. Only the view. Lesson learned $1400 dollars later. Management knew we left unsatisfied but no one from the hotel followed up with us the rest of our stay. Positive Note: The Bar on The 8th Floor is Amazing. Ask for the bartender Michelangelo. He makes a stellar Pisco Sour. We tipped him $20 Euros each round, he is fantastic and one of the best bartenders I've had in Rome. They serve luxury chocolates with the fine Brandy selection. You won't be disappointed.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
