Ok so I'm not sure whether this is still the same restaurant or whether they have been bought over/changed cooks. We went here on my colleague's recommendation and he swore up and down that this restaurant was good when he tried it previously, and of course, there are some good reviews for this restaurant. But when we went here for lunch, honestly the food sucked. The ambience was nice and the restaurant was pretty large so our group of 5 didn't even have to wait for a table although the restaurant was pretty crowded. We ordered set lunch and we were very disappointed with the taste. Not sure if this was because it was set lunch (which is still not an excuse IMHO) but you could get way better Korean food for the same price literally just few STEPS away. There are lots of Korean restaurants in Telok Ayer, and there better ones than this restaurant.

The BBQ is great and the side dishes are so nice !! If this is the Korean restarant that you go, you will probably not eat any others out there again. The only thing is price is a little steep, we ate till $60 per person but still ok because we ordered a lot of BBQ food. The only thing I dislike is the smell. I smell like BBQ after heading back to office. Overall, if you are there for the food, its a great place !

Tucked away along Telok Ayer street right opposite the Raffles CBD area is Mana Korean restaurant, which is an authentic joint offering great affordable Korean dishes. It's already pretty famous in the area, so be sure to come early or avoid the usual lunch rush hours to get a good seat. It is a walkable distance from Raffles Place MRT, so it's more of finding your bearings rather than fearing a long walk. The owner is a friendly and bustling uncle who often serves up additional free side dishes to patrons to keep them happy and coming back - smart move! Be sure to try their Seafood Bean Paste Soup, which is more of a thick broth mixed and eaten with plain rice. It's thick and salty, with lots of ingredients like veggies, onions, tofu and fresh seafood. They serve a delicious Kimchi Jeon, which is a savoury pancake dish with kimchi pieces stirred into the batter. If you're feeling too stuffed from the meal, you can always order this for take away and re-heat it using the office microwave when feeling peckish during the afternoon.

This is definitely one of the lousiest Korean Restaurants that I have ever been to. I cannot emphasize and express my frustration with this restaurant. Firstly, their Korean BBQ is not authentic kind. Their waitress will help you to cook the meat you order. My friends and I order chicken and beef. She simply throws the whole plate of beef into the BBQ hotplate, leaving it to cook and she went off. So by the time she is back, the beef is already overcooked. Obviously, she did the same for the chicken meat. The reason why we ended up in this restaurant is because they stated that there is a 30% discount for standard chartered card member. Before ordering, we asked the waitress if we were entitled to the promotion. She said she will check and let us know. Instead, she went to place our order without our consent. (We are still totally fine at this point in time.)But when we were about to pay our bill, the manager actually told us that we are not entitled to the discount. My friend tries talking to the cashier regarding the matter. The worst part is despite all the negative services, not only did the manager come to apologise. He simply stood there and laugh at my friend for the complaint he made to the cashier. This is totally ridiculous. He doesn't show any basic professionalism to his work. By word of mouth, we will definitely tell our friends to boycott this restaurant.

Another recommendation by a friend who returned from a semester in Korea and thought this place serves good Korea cuisine.I really enjoyed their very generous range of servings of side dishes which includes different types of kimchi, vegetables and different types of pajeon, which is lovely to munch on. Refillable, as usual. Also finally got to try the acorn jelly was happy with it!Head down to Manna if you are up for grilled meat, we ordered some meats and a whole bunch of vegetables to go with it which made for a very enjoyable meal as the ingredients were fresh.Top up your meal with ddukbokki and ginseng chicken soup. The ddukbokki was made with a good hint of spicyness and the rice cake had a good bite to it. Also, loved the ginseng chicken soup for its flavourful broth.Bring your families here if you are feeling up for treating them!
