Old Macau icon is no longer around to be seen
Once an icon of old Macau, famously featured in the James Bond classic - The Man With the Golden Gun (1974), the Macau Palace (also referred to as the Floating Casino) is no longer around to be seen.
For many years, the Macau Palace moored in the Outer Harbour just in front of what is now Fisherman's Wharf. It was closed down in 2007 and hauled away to the other side of Macau where it sat idol in the bay at Fai Chi Kei for quite a few years. However, 2-3 years ago it was removed. Not sure to where the old floating casino was sent or if it was simply demolished. Regardless, the old Macau Palace is no more in Macau.
#1 Reviewer,
could not get a proper location for this on google. When i arrived in Macau i asked both taxi drivers and travel guides the location for this and they all said it doesn't exist anymore. Very disapointed as this is where they filmed a movie location from James Bond, 'The Man with the Golden Gun.'

Nick-named 'the pirate boat', the old casino boats retain their old world charm and atmosphere of the bygone age, when most of the new (or not that new) casino hotels were noy yet built. The name 'pirate boat' was according to losers. It is worth a look as if to see the beginning of the entertaimnet age of Macau, at no cost for a visit.
