Local Loaf Charlotte Reviews from The Last Year
I randomly found this place taking a walk in the Noda
I randomly found this place taking a walk in the Noda neighborhood. The man at the counter was real nice and as well as the server. My breakfast was very good. I will be back.
I'm giving this a "round up" 4- I'd say it's closer to 3.
5-3.75. I came here with my friends on Friday around 7pm; it's one of their go-to spots. Very cute all around, bright, open inviting. They have beer, wine, pastries, and a good food menu. We opted to split a pineapple orange juice mimosa carafe ($25 weekday special). I ordered the beef empanadas and my friends had an order of that as well along with the calamari. Took a bit longer than expected for our carafe to come out, but the food followed shortly after. I'm not picky about the bubbly brands/flavors, but my one pet peeve is when mimosa/champagne isn't chilled, and that was the case with our carafe. I hadn't had pineapple OJ before, so I enjoyed that blend, but I really wish that it had the crisp/chill to it. The empanadas were very tasty, but seemed slightly underfilled (very airy, maybe 50% filled with meat). I enjoyed the dipping sauce though. This is a solid spot that I would return to to try some other stuff on the menu, but I do think there are areas for improvement!
So delicious! Shrimp and grits were fabulous.
Pancakes were unexpectedly unique. Good, but sweet - they would have been great as a share for the table. Breakfast burrito was top-notch with a southern take on the usual.
Adam's food is always incredible.
Today we had the tuna tartine, the roti canai, and orange chicken (the best version of this dish I've ever had). Last week we did the cheese sticks (how's he get the outside crispy with gooey inside?), chips and dip, and empanadas. The suggested wines (Portuguese white tonight) pair incredibly well each time we visit. Local Loaf is in my honest opinion the best food in NoDa at the moment.
Cute, neighborhood brunch spot.
Go for the breakfast sandy and steak& eggs. Dog friendly.
My bagel sandwich was ROCK hard.
I almost broke my jaw trying to chew this thing. My boyfriend didn't believe me and took a bite out of it too which is why there are two bites. Idk if we got a bad bagel or what but it was terribly hard. We got the apple oats which redeemed this place
This place made me cuss after my first bite.
This place is absolutely fantastic. I got the kickin' chicken and boy that's the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. It was stacked high and every bite was full of chicken and flavorful. Anyway, I found this place because I randomly googled "Best Chicken Sandwich in Charlotte". That definitely lived up to the name...I mean look at that chicken sandwich. That could be on a magazine. Also, we got mozzarella sticks. Definitely worth the $10. Flavorful and crunchy with a cheese pull that was in yards. Here's some pro tips: there's no waiters. You order up front where you walk in and they call your name out for someone to bring it to your table. Also, the cookies up front are massive and delicious. Definitely pick up a few on the way out. Everything about this place is a home run. The vibe to the food. Make yourself happy and come here.
This place was amazing.
Come for lunch!!! The service was so good and the people that work there *chefs kiss*. The salads are sooo good we just loved it here.
I've had this place on my list of places to try for a good
I've had this place on my list of places to try for a good while now, but the hours/location just never worked out. Well it finally worked out for a Sunday brunch and it was a cute place to grab brunch before an event in NoDa. The day we went was rainy which kinda sucked because I think part of their big draw is the large outdoor patio. You order at the counter, then if they have an open table you can grab one. Your name is called from the area by the kitchen and make sure you're listening because you might miss your name! My only complaint about this was that everyone's dishes came out at completely different times. I got the pancakes, eggs and bacon. Bacon was crispy, the eggs buttery, and the pancakes were like muffins they were so thick. I would definitely visit again and hope to sit outside.
Loved my experience here The staff was awesome.
The food was delicious. They have lots of options, small or big, depending on how much you plan on eating the restaurant/café itself was clean a very social atmosphere, just make sure when you get there look for a table because it's first come first serve.
CALL FIRST!!! This place is the worst!!!!!! This is the 3rd
CALL FIRST!!! This place is the worst!!!!!! This is the 3rd time in a row I've driven 30 minutes to eat here and they are ALWAYS closed for some bullsh@t reason. Never again! Matter a fact, just stay away till they learn how to update would be customers
The thing that stands out to me the most about this
The thing that stands out to me the most about this charming neighborhood restaurant is the location. It is tucked away on 35th street right amongst the beautiful houses of NoDa. If you don't look twice you might think it is another home! I have long passed this place while going on walks around the neighborhood and have been waiting for the right time to try it as unfortunately they are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Finally decided to stop by while working remote. Their breakfast looks fantastic but it was lunch time so I went with the chicken sandwich. Very large portions of juicy tenders between a bun and covered in a spicy sauce. Delicious! I plan on stopping by for breakfast one of these weekends so I can get the full experience.
Excellent food! Would highly recommend.
We had the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito. They do an excellent job of serving great food with a lot of flavor. The coffee is great too!
Cute little neighborhood spot.
Decor and vibe are very basic, but also charming. My group sat outside for breakfast and really enjoyed our meals. I got the shakshouka which had properly runny eggs and good flavor. Friends got biscuit sandwiches and the fried chicken. Both were great and we especially loved the biscuits!
Wanted to hit up a decent breakfast/lunch focused place
Wanted to hit up a decent breakfast/lunch focused place before we left charlotte after our coffee at "The Hobbyist" (also stellar). Very unassuming place on the outside, local musicians were playing. Once inside, you order your food upfront, their menu is what I would consider very unique and visually appealing. After that, you sit down until they bring the food to you. Bonus points for not having to worry about dealing with a waiter or waitress and the subsequent tips required. Food was delicious, I decided to go for something a bit more unique to this place, the Spanish Migas. It was all extremely fresh, very dynamic and flavorful. Presentation was superb, and the service was great, especially considering there was no assigned, waiter or waitress. I will say there was a bit of dust floating around in my glass of water, as well as my wife's, but everything else was so superb that, I don't feel it's fair to deduct a star for that. Parking is fairly easy on the street, and free as well.
Great spot! Loved breakfast! Can't wait to come visit my
Great spot! Loved breakfast! Can't wait to come visit my son again and try lunch menu!!

The site doesn't have resources to properly execute a reservation transfer. Some places allow it however the best bet is to open a chat on the listing from the seller and communicate there

Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
