Really not great!
Restaurant level: we ate well, it was very good: service level: cold waiter and waitress, not smiling, Siberian... downside: price of drinks 14 euros per glass of wine... Hotel level: disaster: lousy reception (poster on the door, you have to call to be told that the key is on the room door....hello reception) The room: basic, really basic (fortunately, the bathroom saves the lack of comfort of the room): level of cleanliness: we noticed, on the floor, brown stains which remained there for 3 days!!! the bath towels.... holes as big as 2 euro coins, the moths must have been there...and a lot of moths!!, Microscopic parking except that you are told that there is another parking lot, further away in the property: no lighting in the evening: you are told to go and put yourself in this parking lot, in the dark full, far from the entrance where no light either and then, icing on the cake, no space in the microscopic parking lot near the entrance to the restaurant and the hotel because spaces occupied by the car of the boss and that of her employee (who tells you it in the eyes!) oopssss Non-exhaustive list of negative elements concerning this establishment where the potential is immense but very poorly used. To close: we unfortunately forgot a toiletry bag in the bathroom: we sent an email asking for the said kit to be returned to us, at our expense obviously: you understand: we did not even receive a response to our email There you go: not at all used to this kind of comments but enough is enough!
Great time
Very nice experience, we were treated to a very warm welcome followed by very refined dishes and quality service. Dinner as a couple, the room has a modern and elegant decor. We were treated to very good advice on wines, of very good quality. Thank you for this timeless moment.

Very good cuisine that goes off the beaten track, and beautiful presentation of the plates which whets the appetite, pleasant setting and the staff takes great care, a lovely gourmet evening spent in this establishment We will come back without hesitation.
Amazing stay
Wonderful stay both in the restaurant and in the hotel. Dedicated and passionate staff! We will come back with pleasure. This relaxing setting a few kilometers from the city is very bucolic and relaxing. My wife and I appreciated the listening they offered us. We'll come back!
A stay …. Nothing more
Arriving around 6 p.m. as requested by management, we are in a courtyard, without lighting, it is already dark. Our contact on the phone tells us to enter the hotel and the room key is on the door. Difficult to orient yourself in the absolute darkness. Room ok nothing more, but very clean. Small closet with 3 old mismatched hangers. At the restaurant we eat correctly, nothing more… served by a nice waiter but who is more of an automaton than a human. The sauce for the beef fillet on Monday is identical to the sauce for the chicken breast the next day…. The atmosphere there is very cold, literally and figuratively. The breakfast, the drinks of which had to be ordered the day before, is frugal and resembles during the 3 days the one served in flight in economy class (2 mini-pots of jam, 1 of Nutella, 3 slices of Gruyère… 1 small bread and 1 croissant. All placed almost to the millimeter in the same place. The place has great potential (old mill) which the management does not know how to take advantage of…. The staff acts like robots. Nothing warm emanates from them.
Huge disappointment
So where to start, the best or the very mediocre? Come on, the best will take much less time to describe….. very beautiful place with this old water mill renovated into a hotel but there you go, at a level close to the low end. (and yes, it’s already over for the better!)…. No services in the room, no fridge, coffee machine, safe, no temperature adjustment possible, so no air conditioning obviously, just a bathroom a little more up to date, for the rest, go your way ! Moving on to the catering part, I had booked an outspot package which included 2 nights for 2 people as well as dinner on the first evening and breakfast. We just enhanced our meal with a plate of foie gras for 2 people, 3 glasses of wine and a plate of cheese. All this for….115€ extra! €14 for wine by the glass. Even a Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant cannot afford a pricing policy of this ilk. We understand the state of mind from the first breakfast (included in the formula, I remind you), when we read on the menu that ham and an egg are extra. Times are hard….. To top it off, having an electric car, I plug into an external socket at the hotel because having spent 115€ + 250€ in this establishment, I tell myself that a short night of charging costing 3€ at the most will be fine. cream, well…. No ! Greed takes over, I find myself 2 mornings in a row with my vehicle unplugged by a member of management, probably considering it stolen. The hospital that doesn't care about charity. I will never set foot in this place again, far from everything and close to nothing.
Worth a detour
Excellent restaurant. Very good value for money. Stayed open for our late arrival at 13.30 Cannot comment on the hotel, which is separate from the restaurant, but is looks very quiet and pleasant They have a huge wine list: many quite expensive but we had a lovely Croze Hermitage at €55-.
Excellent (& Stylishly Minimalist) Restaurant
Reviewing the restaurant as opposed to the hotel. Sunday lunch was a real delight. 55€ menu was just right - smallish portion sizes but fine since there are three courses, plus an amuse bouche and migniardises offered as part of the menu (coffee extra). Very good ingredients, cooked just so and good presentation combining a variety of contrasting but complimenting flavours. Very nice patrons/owners/chef and a lovely location by the river and former mill. Very good service despite being full and we were able to take our time when we wanted but when ready, service speeded up so that overall the pace was just right. Modern decor in the dining room is stylish and works for me to create a subtle & cool ambiance (dining chairs are great and v. comfortable). Definitely will return next time in the area.
