Le Baoli Cannes Reviews
Horrible customer service
The most insulting night of my life. After invited few friends over, the stupid short bouncer at the front with his body guards refused to get us in due to not having a reservation, but there were younger crowds that he lets them in. He was very prejudice.
THE MOST RACIST PLACE IN ALL CANNES
The worst treatment I have ever received in my life, they are RACISTS, I was going to dinner with some Portuguese friends who had a reservation, there were at least 20 of them, I arrived a little after them and they simply didn't let me in because of my Latin appearance, my friends paid more than €10,000 for the reservation and even then they told me I could not enter because they reserved the right of admission, but any other person with European appearance could enter... Behavior like this from the French is detestable, they believe they are superior and that I have a very good status, a good physique and I am a public figure in my country Costa Rica, where we do know how to treat tourists well, we are PURA VIDA, one of the best countries in the world, happier and where many would like to live... I would never go back that country in general!
Friday night in Cannes
We went on a Friday night, had a table booked for 9pm. We booked the gold package at £100pp minimum spend. The food was delicious and the whispering angel was lovely. Reasonable prices for south of france - a bottle of 70cl whispering angel was approx €80, with a 3l bottle costing €320. Atmosphere was a vibe, although I would recommend booking a table ever so slightly later as it didnt really start until 9.30-10pm,
Very disappointed
I recently visited Baoli with my friends, and had a thoroughly disappointing experience. First, the food was subpar at best. The sweet potatoes were served cold, and the overall quality was far below what you'd expect for the prices they charge. Adding insult to injury, the entrance policy is clearly biased. It became apparent that they select guests based on their perceived wealth, creating an unwelcoming and elitist atmosphere. This is not the kind of place I would recommend to anyone looking for a fair and enjoyable night out. Definitely won't be coming back.
Horrible experience
absolutely appalling experience Manager of Cloud 9 was disgracefully rude we will never go back. No customer service or any idea how to treat clients and guests. Rude and they overcharged us and made a mess of our night.
Horrible and racist staff
Horrible experience. The staff is extremely rude and racist. There was a group of white girls (7-8 girls) in front of us with no reservation who got in immediately, he was very smiling and talkative with them. We had a reservation for 2 (we are both middle eastern) and from the moment we stepped out the car and walked towards the entrance, the bouncer looked at us as if he was disgusted. When we got there he said “absolutely not”. We got denied access because apparently our clothes was not revealing enough. He told us we were “too covered up” and that they don’t access people who are covered up while pointing at our dresses that were long sleeved. He told us if we wanted to get in we needed to go back home and change into something fancier. We explained that we’re staying in nice at it wasn’t possible, but they didn’t care. Apparently you have to show up almost naked to eat sushi. Extremely rude staff, can’t recommend to anyone and if it was possible i’d give 0 stars
Avoid it - not worth it
The place is definitely overrated, first when you arrive, the guys starve at you like you’re fresh meat, ok you’re there to party but they advertise themselves as classy and in Cannes, for their price you’d expect some looks less vulgar and more courteous. Passed the entrance, the location near the water should be great but all stuff are clearly on the cheap side, Old, dirty, not well maintained and provides an overall nasty impression against which you fight as you’re there expecting to enjoy the night and have fun with friends. But no, still not: floor is dirty, toilets smelly and people urinated on the floor… no soap. Once inside, you’re clearly invited to spend money and frankly that’s what you’re there fir and we had almost no spending limit, but again, the courteous side of a classy place is non existent: we silky are an Amex card with legs and the only thing they want is rip you off as much as possible. The music was average, the overall stay deceiving. We left quickly … avoid at all cost !
Lovely bouncer.
After paying the booking for a table of 4 and having 2 people bailing out, the gentleman at the door felt like my husband and me were not interesting material for dining in and suggested us to go to the beach in front at 22.45 👍🏻
The smell indoors is disgusting
Our table was booked for 8pm. We arrive at the restaurant at 7:55pm and was told restaurant isn’t open yet and staff inside not ready to welcome guests. We waited by the door until they finally opened at 8:10pm. We were given a table indoors. The SMELL was unbearable from the disgusting, dirty and old carpets . Clearly the carpets have not been cleaned or changed since the place opened years ago. We asked to change to an outdoor table because the smell from the carpet was so bad, but we’re told we would have to pay a minimum of 250 euros per head and anyways because we had 2 kids with us it would not be possible as kids not allowed outdoors!!! What a joke!! Best part , the restaurant was EMPTY so it was silly that they didn’t even try to accommodate us. The waiters and service could have been more pleasant and helpful which they were not . The food was good but not good enough for us to go back . Overall , disappointing . Baoli, change your carpets or have them ,cleaned ed. It’s unhygienic and disgusting .
Time limit on tables due to cultural issues
Too much religious culture and it’s too many who doesn’t buy alcohol that contributed to our poor service and time limit of tables. It’s disturbing to say the least.
Racist, rude, do not recommend
**** EXTREMELY RACIST ***** Wouldn't give any stars if I could. Me and my friend arrived right behind a group of "white" girls who did not have a reservation and were all wearing sandals. The guy at the door was very chatty to them and then informed them that on weekends they do not accept sandals, however he proceeded to still let them in. Then it came to me and my friend who are both mix raced. We were both dressed in appropriate dresses and heels and were asked the same question that he had asked the group before us: if we had a reservation. We said no just like the girls had before us and he replied with "have a good night girls". He could barely look at us in the eyes as he knew exactly what he had just done. This act was clearly racially motivated and is utterly unacceptable in 2023. Please, stay away from this sad sad place.

Let's say Peter has a great morning and decides to take his three friends to Le Baoli Cannes at 6 PM the same day.
He checks the restaurant's website and sees that no reservations are available. He then looks at the Le Baoli Cannes page on AppointmentTrader, but finds that there are no user postings either.
That's where the community-driven bid process comes in.
Peter can place a bid on AppointmentTrader, which serves as a reward for any community member who chooses to work on securing the reservation. AT then notifies experienced users who may be able to help.
Step-by-Step Process
1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)
* AppointmentTrader uses historical data to recommend a reasonable reward amount for securing a reservation - let's say $100.
* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FluffyStar64, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FluffyStar64 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FluffyStar64 for any questions Peter may have as FluffyStar64 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FluffyStar64 now uses their connections at Le Baoli Cannes to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FluffyStar64 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FluffyStar64 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FluffyStar64's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Le Baoli Cannes!
* As with all transactions on AT, disputes and no-show fees are handled through the platform's community-driven resolution system. Users with a strong track record are incentivized to fulfill bids successfully, and community members can report issues to maintain trust in the marketplace.
