I did return to try the food and unfortunately I was not impressed the food was subpar to what we were expecting. We ordered the salmon and returned the food as it was undercooked and gewy in the middle. The ceaser salad and dessert were good. Unfortunately we will not be returning.
Best oysters and vibes
I eat the best oysters ever! I have no idea if it was the mood, the vibe, the champagne or the fact that i mixed them with slice of pizza…i just love the place!!!

Wow! I'm sorry impressed with the food here! Service was also pretty good. Decor is really well done. Crazy tall ceilings makes it feel like an indoor/outdoor space. Will definitely be coming back! Dishes: Hamachi Crudo - 9/10 Frito Misto - 9/10 Branzino - 8/10 (soft and tender, cooked well. Large portion. Just not a ton of flavor) Filet Mignon - 10/10 (literally the best steak I've had in the last 5 years) Cheesecake - 8.5/10 (creme brule top is a nice touch) Stratatella Gelato - 9/10 Mango Sorbet 8.5/10 Nothing I didn't like.
Disappointing Service and Food
We expected a lot more from this restaurant given the reviews and the general food scene in Vegas. We were sorely disappointed - not only was the service slow, unattentive and disinterested, the food was equally disappointing. We ordered the giant meatball, which from the review, looked fantastic. When we cut into it, we discovered it was dry and cold inside i.e. it was reheated from frozen. Needless to say, we sent it back. We ordered the calamari intead - it was a huge serving (dare I say, American-sized), with a light batter, but unfortunately, far too salty to finish, to the point where I drank 4 glasses of water just to cut the salt. Although we had planned on ordering proper mains, just to make sure we didn't go hungry - we ordered a wood-oven pizza - this was the best part of the meal as the crust was nice and airy and toppings fresh. Overall, between the service and the food, I would not recommend this restaurant, and definitely will not return the next time I'm in Vegas.

Once again, I returned to Lavo and had another five star experience. This time was in the bar/lounge area and enjoyed their wonderful happy hour having delicious pizza, wine and salad. Perfect evening lovely environment great service - a perfect way to end the week.

Really beautiful space.
Top notch service. We loved everyone we had the pleasure of being served by. We had the salmon, steak and green salad. The affogato was a delightful and to the meal! Highly recommend. Will come back!

Celebrated my friend's bachelorette brunch here and it was exceptional!!! Walking in, we were greeted respectfully and seated right away. We made a reservation prior. The inside was so beautiful and spacious, and there was also a DJ (revel), he was such a vibe playing R&B music. Our server was great as well, checked if we were good constantly. Now let's get to the menu, we all got the pre fixed menu and for the price, everything was tasty. Started off with pastries, then I got the burger with salad and fries and everything was cooked to perfection. For dessert, we ended with a stracciatella. 10/10! Great experience, great food, great service

This restaurant is beautiful! So aesthetic, even more beautiful when the sunsets and the table candles are lit up. The service was great! Derric made his recommendations & continuously checked on us! He is very animated, which made our experience that much more delightful. We ordered the espresso martini and Lavotini to start, both were very good. For food, we ordered the caprese pizza & the penne alla vodka. They both were delicious. Would come back to try their brunch menu

I celebrated a birthday here with my family so there were 7 of us . I can not say enough good things . Drinks were tasty . The food was remarkable . They have a whole baked fish that we ordered and it is the BEST I HAVE EVER HAD. We tried many different dishes and all were delish, tuna tartar , the black truffle fries the pasta dishes were excellent. Mostly I must say they had epic service ! Our waiter was SO attentive ! Wish I could remember his name ! We left a 25% tip! Can't wait to go back! Thank you Lavo for a memorable night !

from when we walked in carolyn at the host stand greeted us immediately which was such a great first impression! our server Alex was the sweetest! she was very knowledgeable which was very nice because we had never been to LAVO. when our bottled water came they had a plate with grapefruit,lemon and lime that was such a nice touch i loved it!! Brian the servers assistant was just as incredible. they both made us have such a lovely experience they made my birthday extra special! i got a passion star martini and it was deliciosos! we got truffle fries, broccolini, mushrooms, round potatoes for sides for the table. the truffle fries were the perfect amount of crispy and not an aggressive truffle it was perfect! i got the filet and it was so mouth watering and amazing! for my birthday dessert they brought out a mango passion fruit ice cream which is my favorite and tirimisu which was such an amazing experience i loved it! must get so you see what im talking about!! all the staff was really on top of it which made it such ana amazing experience!! for sure will come back!!!

Okay room. (They are shutting down in August to renovate so maybe it will get some character?) Service was excellent. Wine list pretty limited. Now the food. Octopus was hammered - like chewing rubber. Branzino equally overcooked PLUS stuffed with lemons making it taste like … lemon .. white stuff. Spaghetti with meatballs also a miss. (Meatballs were good - sauce was flavourless. Complete miss.

Ate here with 10 people for a business meal. First off they won't seat anyone until ALL the party shows up. One person was 20 min late and they made us wait at the bar. Thats reason alone not to go back. Second they say 10 of us at a table literally not large enough for 6. It was comical. They said this was the only table available. Service was SLOW. Food was decent. The meatball and garlic bread appetizer was probably the best. Bathroom attendants! ARGH. I won't rush back.

Very nice restaurant, the ambiance was very appealing, the wait staff was very attentive to our table. The food was amazing. The Crispy Chicken “Dominick” was delicious. The servings were well above what is served at other restaurants.

Ive been a few times and i hate how you never get sat at the correct time. There is always a wait to be seated here. My food (spag carb) was highly average. Hardly any bacon/pancetta, way too creamy and no pepper. My partner loved his chicken parmigiana. I mainly brought him to try the oreo zepolle and it didnt dissapoint its so delicious. Service was ok, nothing outstanding they done their job. Atmosphere was fine, and didnt wait too long for any courses.
excellent service
We had the most wonderful service from Kayla (from Chicago) and Andre (actually from Las Vegas!) at our dinner. Food was great and they made the dinner with their professional service and knowledge. One item to note is there is zero dress code, we actually took what they said to be true, business casual. We were one of the few tables not in cargo shorts, flip flops and t-shirts. So wear whatever you want, it doesn't matter. Too bad, would have made the evening much more classy.....

We had a large party for dinner. The atmosphere is beautiful and relaxing. We ordered appetizers and shared some meals. Portions are large. The garlic bread could have fed 2 tables. The chicken parmigiana and spaghetti and meatballs were excellent as was the lobster special. We also shared awesome desserts (strawberry tiramisu was out of the world) and a few bottles of wine. We were able to keep the bill at about $70 per person including tip. This was our favorite meal during our trip.

I LOVED coming to LAVO Ristorante.
I was in town for work and my hotel was nearby so stopped by and host graciously took my name and showed me to table. The ambiance of this place is sooooo damn cute and intimate makes for a perfect date night or just a night out. They play cute 90's music which juxtaposes the decor which sets a nice fun chic tone. The food was delicious. My waiter Johnathan was super helpful and gave some amazing recommendations. I got a ravioli dish that made me want to slap someone it was good. It was Spinach, ricotta filled with a butter garlic sauce, calamari and then dessert with ricotta doughnuts and cookies and cream gelato and a latte. I can not wait to come back and try more. If you're looking for a spot this is it.

This is a beautiful restaurant. Service was below average. Food was also below average. Too crowded on Friday evening meant unreasonably lengthy dinner. Never received dessert we ordered so we cancelled it and left. No excuse for that especially when 1 meatball is $31 and garlic bread is $20. Multiple better choices for Italian at the Venetian for far less money.
Not a good dining experience
It started off OK, it’s a nice room, good energy, maybe a bit loud. My friend has a pizza, the Angry Maria. It wasn’t just spicy it was burn your lips hot with chile oil. I ordered the lasagna which I always enjoy at a good Italian restaurant. It was terribly dry, warm not hot, and no sign of cheese. I had to request extra tomato sauce just to eat it. It didn’t help much. They were nice enough to take it off the bill. We asked the waitress for a dessert menu and that’s when things fell apart. She brought us the check. We told here we were interested in dessert so we got the dessert menu. We ordered an expresso (double), a coffee and a gelato dessert. First came the hazelnut log dessert we did not order. We sent it back never to dessert again. Then a like warm single espresso arrived with lukewarm coffee. We asked the waitress to correct the situation. We eventually got a hot coffee but no expresso and no gelatin. The frustration mounted so we finally asked for a check. I will never go back. The couple at the take next to us had an even worse experience and they just got up and left. Find another place for Italian food in LV.
Terrible experience
We went to have a special night. Our reservation was for 8:30. It was not crowded but we were not seated until after 9:00. We had to ask for the bread three times before finally getting some at 9:30. Appetizers were delicious. However the main meals were awful. Chicken was overcooked and dry. Pasta dish was also overdone-tasted like it had been thrown into the microwave to reheat. Very disappointing meal.

The best Caesar salad you will find.
Dressing is great and croutons are so fresh. Unfortunately it was the only good thing we got. The margarita pizza came out nice and hot but the sauce was flavorless. The salmon very bland , fishy and it didn't look appetizing when it came out. However , ambiance is upscale and very nice and the booths are very comfortable. Waitress was really nice too.

Very good food
Nice restaurant. The food was really good and they give you good portions. We ended up waiting over a half hour from our reservation time but they gave us 1 free round of drinks for waiting so was fine. It’s a busy place and gets loud during dinner but we were fine with it. Highly recommend going here.

First of all, I can appreciate when we can pull up to a restaurant and valet parking is available. Great idea as parking in West Hollywood can be challenging. My boyfriend made reservations for our monthly date night at LAVO, a restaurant I had bookmarked for quite some time. I was glad that we finally made it. We were greeted by the host and seated within minutes. I loved the whole vibe and aesthetic of LAVO. The place felt intimate even though it was a busy Friday night. Our waitress was very respectful and checked on us frequently. The DJ was playing old-school hip-hop and R&B; I was enjoying the music. To start we had the yellowfin tuna tartare- delicious started. We also ordered the sesame garlic bread-so soft and buttery. For our main course, we had "the meatball"- which is the 1lb wagyu meatball- this dish is a must! The meat was exquisite. Lastly, we had the scallops alla puttanesca. For drinks, I had the Lavo-lini, it had a nice presentation. My boyfriend ordered an old fashioned. This place is great for a date night or a girl's night out.

During the day, this place takes on a much different atmosphere, where patrons dressed Much more casually than they would during the evening hours, and there were also more children than I'd normally see (during this visit, they were here for someone's birthday). For the first course, I went with something off the Sfogliatelle cart (one butter/one chocolate croissant) and a fresh juice (I think it was orange or pineapple; regardless it was good). As for the main, I went with the Prime Burger w/ truffle fries. This was one hell of a good burger, not something I was expecting from an Italian place quite frankly. Prepared just to my liking, I savored the heck out of this thing. The fries were something I was looking forward to and although they were decent, I was craving more out of the burger. I did request the calabrian chili passata on the side and this wasn't too bad, but I don't think I'd want the food saturated with it. As for the third course, I ended up taking the dessert to go (bombolinis) and passed them off to my co-workers. Well, they didn't eat them so the following day, I helped myself and they were absolutely delicious. I wasn't too keen on this initially but knew I had to order something as the third for the prix fixe. No regrets here. Staff was also on it the best they could be; I found out later they were actually from The Fleur Room, and were covering since there were a lot of no-shows. For the most part, I would have never picked up on this. The only minor questionable thing was when I asked for lemons; he simply set them on the bar, minus a napkin, toothpicks, or anything to set them off of the surface which I found odd, but it wasn't a life or death situation, just not something I would expect from this caliber of a restaurant. Okay, I returned within a month and finally enjoyed the penne alla vodka which lived up to the hype. Due to the fact I have zero restraint when it comes to good food, I also repeated the bombolinis. I'll be damned if I say they weren't better the following day, and without the accommodating Oreo Frappuccino but I'm going to finish them anyway. Can't wait to return for another favorite! (I still wish they would offer the garlic bread as a half-portion since either I'm solo, or the people I'm with won't eat bread, God forbid). Their happy hour-if they still offer this-would be a great time to offer such a thing...)

Overall, it was great! The food was incredible, and the ambience was fun. It was packed, but we could still talk to and hear each other without issue. The only unfortunate part was we ordered the popular chocolate/peanut butter cake and there was a hair in it.

Much like all other restaurants in the TAO restaurant group, LAVO is a vibrant & very lively atmosphere with a beautiful ambiance! Dishes were pretty good and light. Service was great. We ordered the SEMOLINA SESAME GARLIC BREAD, TAGLIATELLE AL LIMONE, GRILLED BRANZINO, WINTER BEETS, and 20 LAYER CHOCOLATE CAKE for dessert (not a hit), plus TIRAMISU (also not great). The first three were our favorite! (Garlic bread, tagliatelle, and branzino) were all very good! My favorite part of this dining experience was the ambiance, service, and music selection. Came in on a rainy night for a dinner date and it started out moderately busy at 5p and chatty. It quickly grew louder and was very busy within a couple of hours. The playlist was GREAT, a nice mix between old and new and all genres. Manager Jeremiah eventually asked us for our table after 2.5 hrs or so but moved us over into the bar with complimentary champagne and dessert to account for giving up our table. The bar area in itself was very much like a club. Happy we had a 5p reservation. By 9p the entire restaurant was packed, loud, and on the verge of turning into a nightclub/eatery. We were later informed that a DJ comes after a certain time so that would explain the clubby atmosphere. All in all, a fun restaurant with pretty good food. Valet was very busy and a bit of a wait to get the car but definitely would return.

Business dinner, bread and water right out. Cocktails and wine by the glass selection is top notch. Jumped right into the main course and couldn't resist the chicken Parm, fantastic as usual. My guest enjoyed the chicken Marsala. Service and timing for the courses was perfect.
It's an okay place to go to located within The Venetian
Been here a few times during our Las Vegas trips. Since the group I normally go with is fine with any food is the only reason we go here, because for me as a vegetarian with a specific dietary requirement I can't have much apart from a pizza or/and maybe fries which is also average considering the price. Atmosphere is good. Service is okay. It is located within The Venetian. There is inside and outside sitting options. Outside sitting has a view of the strip.
Amazing Food & Service
This is by far my favorite restaurant in Vegas. The service was top notch and the food was amazing. Our waiter was friendly, fun and very knowledgeable. We weren’t rushed and really enjoyed our meal. It is a wonderful fine dining experience. Portions are large. The meatball appetizer is a must have.

Excellent service, food quality, atmosphere, especially for a business meal. I love going to Lavo every time I go to Vegas. The waitress went above and beyond. My customer was being difficult and asked for berries for dessert. She didn’t say no, she went and found some. Talk about above and beyond!! I’ll be back!
Excellent steak
Got a table thanks to the concierge at the Venetian. The table was wobbly but one of the servers fixed it with spacers. The food was excellent, steak was tasty and cooked to perfection. Very limited wine by the glass, it seems they want you to purchase bottles, makes it easier for the servers. The table and lack of wine by the glass reduced the rating from 5 to 4 stars
Not a Buono Notte
Excited to get two bar seats last week at Lavo before the U2 show. I was psyched for their Buono Notte cocktail, as it's rated one of the best espresso martinis in Vegas, but was disappointed to learn they had no espresso - the machine was broken. A top rated restaurant in one of the best hotels on the strip and they have no espresso? I get that it's a special machine with special parts, but there are definitely a few short term solutions that could have worked rather than not being able to make anything with espresso for days (bartender said it has been days that the machine was down and was a huge money loser). On to a glass of chianti.....wow.....out of that. Strike two. Wagyu meatball, caesar and garlic bread were all great. Bartenders seemed bothered. Would give it another shot next time we're in town.....I really want that martini. :-)

We were sat promptly and the service was great but the food was lacking. We started off with the carpaccio, which ended up getting sent back. It was disgusting and had a sweet after taste to it. The bread was incredible. If you find yourself here definitely get the garlic bread. I got the pasta which was fine, but the chicken parm had an ok flavor but the breading completely slipped off the meat. Last, we ordered a side of sautéed spinach, and as a salt lover, this tasted like the ocean. It was unbearably salty. Inedible. When we sent back the carpaccio, they offered to replace it with something else which was nice, but we did not take that option. My husband and I are well versed in the Los Angeles food scene and I was looking forward to dining at Lavo but unfortunately we won't be back for dinner.

..Horrific customer service and tasteless ambience...Had a 10:15 reservation they told us another 10 mins---after that they proceeded to tell us it would be another 15 mins. We decided to leave and instead of apologizing the hostess wanted to argue with us. Absolutely unacceptable.

Our waitress Anissa was incredibly helpful From explaining the menu, great recommendations and awesome drink options. She was great from start to finish! The food was great! We order the Penne pasta w chicken and the Lamb chops with butterball potatoes. 10/10. Will definitely be back again

Although this restaurant is very pretty & trendy-looking, it's not worth the price/quality. Had a suspicion the drinks were watered down.. The Pepsi tasted watery, then our $26 Grey Goose drinks also tasted like water which was extremely disappointing considering the price. The pasta pomodoro's sauce was even weirdly watery. The only pro was that the staff was friendly. Skip this place!
