Where do I begin ๐ฅบ
Where do I begin; - insulted within the first 60 seconds - served $17 glass of faulted wine that was ignored - heaviest beer was IPA?? - after all this I had to carry my own drink to the patio to seat myself Wtf?? For that priceโฆseriously You should just give up Brewmaster status and convert to a bar โฆplease

I dined at this restaurant with a friend. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation, but because they were still having a staff meeting, they asked us to come back later, which didn't feel great as it was freezing cold outside. But during dinner, the service was attentive and the food selection was intriguing. While the portions could have been a bit more generous for the price, the overall experience was enjoyable.

We took friends out to celebrate their engagement. We were disappointed as they didnโt let us bring a cake we bought to celebrate. We tried almost everything on the menu to share. The salmon was the best and favourite drink was the blood orange with tequila. The other ones were too sweet. The non alcoholic one looked very good too. I would recommend it as its in quiet neighbourhood. It is expensive as there is no spectacular view but itโs cozy. .

After seeing a review of Land and Sea from a YouTuber, we knew we HAD to eat here on our vacation. It's a bit hard to find, especially in the dark and especially for non-locals, because it's not in the "normal" touristy areas (it's kinda out by the airport). But it's worth tracking it down! The Beef Carpaccio was divine. And the Unagi Risotto was beyond anything!!! The cocktails were lovely. I thought I would like the Chili Crab more than I did, but I think that's only because it was spicier than I like -- I guess I should have known based on the name, but I thought I'd be able to taste the flavor of crab more than I did. Nevertheless, this meal was tied for "first place" among all the restaurants we visited during the week. (My only complaint is that it was very chilly. They had people seating in the covered, "heated" patio, but it was still very cold out there, and the cold air drifted into the restaurant as they left the double doors open the entire time, and our table was right next to that doorway. We wore our coats the whole time.) In particular, the staff were really great -- friendly, just attentive enough, accommodating, helpful with our questions about the drinks and dishes. Perfect.

The vibe is very hipster, yet upscale and the restaurant just looks special. Service was friendly and just adequate, not very attentive. Food is outstanding, except for the tiny oysters. Carpaccio was delicate with nice runny egg. Bolognese pasta was perfectly el dente and rich. Duck breast was excellent with great accompaniments on the plate Unagi risotto had great umami and rice was el dente. Sable fish was delicate and tasty. Both panna cotta and sticky toffee deserts were very good. Great meal. We spent more at Wynona in Toronto, a Michelin guide recommended restaurant and food here was superior.

We finally made it to check out this fantastic spot. Saturday night of the long weekend and it was packed. Great vibe, great service, fabulous cocktails and the food was inventive, bursting with flavours and incredible to look at. Top to bottom a great dining experience.

The dining experience here was amazing. The food was great here and the drinks were so good. Definitely worth checking out, the atmosphere here are unreal too. The wagyu carpaccio, steak and pork was our favourites, but everything we had was so good.
Be the first to ReplyOutstanding to Say the Least....
It was difficult to obtain a reservation at Land & Sea Restaurant, but after an extended period of time and attempts was able too. On arrival, the establishment was extremely loud to the extent of unpleasantness with children crying abound and not the most comfortable of settings. Needless to say, we were ready to depart before the onset of dining, and how unfortunate that would have been.
The menu is designed for sharing and our family took the liberty of sampling a large selection, and were not only not disappointed to say the least, but more than pleasantly surprised.
The cuisine was utterly exceptional with each and every sampled dish being brilliantly prepared, extraordinary and incomparable. The chef serves up some of the most creative and delicious dishes available in the City. Unfortunately, both the servicing and seating leave something to be desired and detract from the culinary experience.
With that said, the writer will decidedly return for many more engagements to enjoy this truly excellent fare. Kudos to the culinary genius behind this establishment!
Not impressed.....
Limited menu, their Wagyu is overpriced ($80,00) for literally six small pieces of meat that come alone in a big plate, the rest has to be ordered a la carte. We went there with another couple and we all agreed that it was a very disappointing experience and will never comeback.
Be the first to ReplyPhenomenal Service and Food!
My friend and I visited Land and Sea last week and had the pleasure of sitting at the bar and meeting Aaron and Juheon (Juheon is the beverage pharmacist at the restaurant). I truly cannot say enough good things about the restaurant (or Aaron and Juheon- they were absolutely incredible). We had the most phenomenal evening and it was made that much better by the service and the people! The food and drinks were also amazing. We especially loved the Ora King Salmon Soba, Udon Bolegnese, and Wagyu off the menu. Drink wise- we tried the Half Blood Orange, Yuzu-Kissed sour, and an espresso martini shot. Juheon's drink creations are fantastic and if we had more time here we would have tried more! If you are in Vancouver visiting Land and Sea is a must! Excellent all around.

Browsing " the Village " with girl friend #1 almost all day , so I choose the Land & Sea restaurant for our early dinner , previously occupied by " Senova " which they close down in 2019 , it is next to Choices Markets , restaurant is very upscale open kitchen dinning , atmosphere is relaxing and spacious airy , menu is very creative with West Coast Japanese concept , lot of selection from land to sea , price not too expensive , my Ora Salmon Saba and wonderful done , interesting taste , the broth little under flavour , my girlfriend's Crab Ravioli is a master dishes , fresh lot of crab meat inside the ravioli , she love every bite , the foods
takes a little too long from the kitchen , due to the current pandemic , staff hard to find , over all , the quality and the creative dishes is fantastic , I will be back for sure , close on Monday , but comes Dec they will open 7days a week , also they are delaying the brunch opening till next year , reservation must , give your self a lot of time to enjoy one of the best upscale restaurant in W. Kerrisdale .
