In my opinion, a little overrated
A perfect place to let yourself be guided by a surprise 5-course menu. Good products from the chosen wines (a little expensive however) A perfect evening until the addition of 315 euros at 4: 4 menus and a bottle of wine. We were kindly but insistently asked to leave as the second shift was waiting. 315 euros for 1 hour 45 minutes of dinner is still steep!!😞 We would have preferred three dishes instead of five and a little less expensive, that would have given us the impression of not being taken out right after dessert... In my opinion, you can find better in Marseille

Delicious, original, delicate…words fail me! Thank you to this friendly team who delighted us A real moment of happiness!

It's very good, the service is efficient, sometimes a little long but you can wait with a drink. A good address in the very noisy 1st arrondissement.

Impeccable service, attentive to detail. 5-course evening tasting (consistent with the price offered on the site), excellent paired wine recommended by the waitress. In the various reviews I read that someone complained about the price increase considering that the dishes are vegetables etc. I also invite you to consider that having a business in the center has a cost, as does having a welcoming place with attentive service, plus the great work and complexity involved in preparing the dishes (some look like paintings, judge for yourself). Very good, definitely recommended. Oh, we also tasted the cheeses, which were excellent. Regarding the dishes, from the oyster to the rhubarb ice cream (if I'm not mistaken, but still very good) all very tasty.

Excellent food, excellent wine, excellent atmosphere! We had the 5 course tasting menu and everything was fully balanced and very delicate. The wine was also formidable. Go go go 😊
Be the first to ReplyDisappointed...
What can I say.....a disappointment, in many ways....unnecessarily pretentious cuisine for the result ultimately below expectations, 1000 places from the Instagram page. In the end, cooking of food not controlled, staff spending their evening eating in reserves and drinking in the fridge, I think the restaurant is a very sad image for the customers. So let's talk about the meal, ultimately full of fuss for a cuisine that aims to be innovative and creative but which is only an assembly of ingredients that are often poorly seasoned and poorly cooked....a restaurant that will please the bohemians who are pames in front of an uncooked carrot placed on a reduction but which is far from the promise made
Be the first to ReplyA broken promise
The promise of a quality dinner is not kept. A restaurant that aims to be simple and friendly but ultimately pretentious. The chef and sommelier pictured on the site are no longer those who work in this restaurant, without any information on this. The dishes are unbalanced and become inedible, either too little or not enough. The products are fresh but simple and not cooked, or even poorly cooked, and in small quantities. We leave hungry (those who know me know that I have a small stomach 😉). It's very expensive, a menu at €65 without being able to choose, a menu cache should surprise customers and not disappoint them. The manager noticed our lack of enthusiasm and offered a commercial gesture after we paid, and they told us they needed the table in 10 minutes. Unless he sees their restaurant copy again to flee.

The place is very nice, as are the staff. Nothing to say about the quality of the very efficient service. And with a smile. The dishes offered were very fresh, well cooked but lacked taste, flavors, personality, emotion.... Also note a wine list with fairly high prices. A disappointment all the same but it was only the first time.

Excellent food with fantastic service. We sat at the bar as the restaurant was fully booked. Believe the reviews and enjoy great food and service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat service, great food, great wine.
A really good restaurant. We went for lunch(€38 for 3 courses)- was so good we booked for dinner the following evening, a 5 course tasting menu for €65. Would love to describe our food in detail but I don’t have that sort of vocabulary or recall- however it is safe to say the dishes, without exception, were just right. Interesting, beautifully presented and tasted really good. Not fussy, but had real depth of flavour. We sat at the bar and were looked after really well by a really professional and knowledgable team, led by Pauline. Joan in particular really looked after us and her guidance with wine in particular made the (2) visits a particularly enjoyable experience. A must do in Marseille.
Be the first to ReplyA celebration of autumn flavours
Amazing 5 course tasting menu with optional extra cheese plate. Very inventive flavours and combinations - a celebration of autumn produce. One of the best meals we've had around the world. A definite destination in Marseille if you love local fresh produce and exceptional cooking.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional cuisine in a lovely and lively area
This casual and friendly restaurant offers a five-course meal ( no choice) of inventive, modern seasonal and local ingredients. There is an air conditioned dining room with a kitchen on view and a terrace shaded by large umbrellas. Service is friendly and enthusiastic. Greater knowledge and discussion of the wines would be appreciated. The fix pice of €62 for five courses is very reasonable and excellent value. A “taco” of a spinach leave with a fried aubergine croquette accompanied by a roasted red pepper and tomato salsa kicked off the meal. A mixture of crab meat with cherry tomatoes was napped with a lovely mayonnaise and fried bread crumbs. A Superb mackerel filet sat on a mixture of sweet green tomatoes and sautéed jalapeños. This was the outstanding dish. A composition of pork, red peppers and peaches was too sweet but nonetheless perfectly cooked. And to finish a wonder it choux with hazelnut and almond cream and a watermelon sorbet. Outstanding food. While the terrace is charming, the theater of the chefs preparing the meal enchanted.
Be the first to ReplyGood food, interesting wine pairing, dynamic team
The food was really good. The menu we had showcased summer vegetables and fish, which we really appreciated and enjoyed. My favourite dish was the grilled courgettes served with a bell pepper almond milk puree, ricotta cheese, and almond. Every element was executed with perfection, and all the elements came together really well ! As for the wine pairing, we didn't quite appreciate how they paired with the dishes. But, we got to try some very interesting wines, e.g. an orange wine from Italy, and one tomato liquor ! As for the service, Léo was really friendly and attentive, and explained every dish and wine to us in perfect English !
Be the first to ReplyCreative delicious food
Excellent. There is small seasonal daily menu to choose from, and dishes are creative and delicious. It's also a good place to eat alone since it has a bar overlooking the open kitchen, where you can watch the chefs work.
Be the first to ReplyA Jewel NOT to be Missed for Foodies
The best meal BY FAR, we had in 10 days in Marseille and Arles (with a close second La Chardon - their other restaurant in Arles). The wine parings were so well thought out and delicious, I highly recommend this restaurant. We had the 5 course dinner with mostly local seafood and organic vegetables, topped off with the most exquisite desserts. The service was spectacular. Every server was able to explain the dishes in English, a bonus since our French is comme ci, comme ca! You tell them anything you don't eat, then you just have to TRUST the results. You wont be sorry. Harry Cummins was a gracious host too! We will be back!

Hidden place in Marseille.
Well balance, very cool wine by the glass, super friendly and professional service.
For less than 40€ you can get 3 courses and a glass of wine.
