Dependable and delicious pull pork and other Hawaiian food
Dependable and delicious pull pork and other Hawaiian food that is handled with care and free of food allergy concern. Good operating hours and open late (relatively) are convenient to visitors to the city.
Be the first to ReplyI really enjoyed this Hawaiian transplant restaurant.
The pork was succulent and flavorful. I was excited to see this place open up as I have been to the Kailua location and really loved the food. Sometimes when restaurants expand outside their geographical zone they flounder a little bit. This is not the case with this location. The food is on par with the Island. I definitely recommend checking this place out.

Kono's Northshore is awesome! Great food, wonderful service, and an uplifting venue. Walking in felt like seeing old friends. Love from the Stackhouse team!

My friend and I arrived around 1:30 PM and there was only one other table there. Definitely giving local vibes and friendly staff. They have another room, which looks like it can be used for private events. I got the Kahlúa pork nachos which were just OK. The pork looked like it was overcooked and the guava barbecue sauce was nothing special. My friend got the local bomber wrap with Portuguese, sausage, egg, and potatoes. She said she liked it but would probably get some thing else if she came back. If you check in they give you a free drink. The hot sauces were actually really good. The mango habanero was my favorite and I believe you can purchase these bottles at the restaurant. I would give this place another try.
Be the first to ReplyWow! Amazing food and services.
You must try this place if you are in the mood for Hawaiian food! Great Job Kono!!!
Be the first to ReplyStopped by for a quick bite with my daughter.
I knew the sliders were a good safe bet since it was our first time. She got the chocolate shake which was delicious. The bagel she ordered came with much more but she picked it off. It's a very large space, great service.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious, great service, and a really fun atmosphere.
Will come back 100%, give this place a try!

I have been wanting to try Kono's Northshore for many months but never seem to think of it at mealtime. We finally made it there today for lunch. And my goodness, but we were surely delighted with the delicious pulled pork offerings and the friendly staff! I had the Triple Crown sandwich and my companion had the Kalua Sliders (as well as a portion of my generous sandwich). The pork is seasoned to perfection and the guava bbq sauce is to die for. Although several people came in for takeout while we were there, we were the only ones eating in. This is an amazing hidden gem and I hope more folks find their way in. They won't be disappointed!

Came in for lunch and we were greeted with an aloha and a smile. Second time here so even though it wasn't busy the hope was food was as good as the last time. Ordered the old school which is their 12 hour slow roasted pork, grilled onions, slaw and guava bbq. Also ordered the triple crown which is all of the above and includes ham and bacon. Both sandwiches were filling and hit the spot. The potato chips themselves are addicting as well. They also have 3 different hot sauces on each table. My favorite was mixing the habanero with the mango pineapple. They also serve ribs with Mac and slaw which I will be coming back for!

Service was top tier, the cashier/server, Anthony, was really nice and sweet. The food was amazing, i had gotten the Big Pig Quesadilla and it was 10/10. The milkshakes were amazing, and the juices were tasty! The music lifted up the mood a lot, it wasn't too cold or too hot, and theres even shirts and hats you can buy! Would go here again for sure. Small staff but they got the job done. Anthony was really thoughtful and made sure everything was okay with my group.

Had this in Honolulu so when i saw they were in Vegas I had to have it again. Their breakfast burritos are amazing. The Chun is my favorite but be warned they can get a little greasy, so wear a bib. Had a tiny bit of an issue but the manager went above and beyond and fixed it. Definitely the fast breakfast of choice in Hawaii or Vegas, now they just one (or more) in LA
Be the first to ReplySo good! Great service and food.
Just like north shore but bigger, highly Recommend!!
Be the first to ReplyWent to grab a quick bite here.
Got the Old School. Delicious! Guava added to the sauce gave it a nice sweet tang. Pork was juicy fire! Chips were slightly sweet and crispy crunchy. Was a big fan. Portion size was just right for me. Not huge and obnoxious and not small. Though I'm told the burritos are big big. Service was really great too. Def gonna go again.

Today I came in with my family and the soccer team for brunch right before our next game and the food was great and so was the service the people gave us. We will definitely be back tomorrow! Cannot wait to try different items. Definitely recommend if you havent had it before

Be the first to ReplyFirst off.
You can't ask for a more adorable and comfortable place to enjoy breakfast. We were greeted twice before the door had closed behind us. My wife and I got the biscuits and gravy bomber and the Chung's bomber. And shall we say... nary a bit was left! So good!! The hype that was placed on their 12 hour pork is justified! Overall an amazing meal and we look forward to coming back and enjoying the rest of the menu.

We were greeted when we walked in immediately! He was super patient with all of my questions! After ordering we sat down at a table booth. The chairs are really comfy! The music makes you feel like you're in Hawaii getting a bite to eat!!!! I had biscuits and gravy and my boyfriend had the bowl! I do wish the bacon was a little larger but I did have 3 pieces so that made up for it. My boyfriend also wasn't the biggest fan of the Guava BBQ sauce but not everyone has the same tastes buds. The chef came out a few times to check on us to make sure we liked everything. Etc. close to the end he gave us 10% off coupons for next time which is AWESOME! All in all I highly recommend this place!!
Be the first to ReplyI'm truly appalled at the reviews of this restaurant.
I realize that places may have days with not the best service, but the food should always reflect the quality of the restaurant and this visit unfortunately did not meet the standards of our expectations. There was only one other party when we arrived. When taking our order, the gentleman taking our order just stared at us until we said something first, then when I ordered he seemed rather short with us. I spent $46 (tipped ahead of time) for a rib plate special, a turkey sandwich, and a side of bacon and seasoned potatoes. Our party had a total of 10 but not everyone chose to eat simply because there wasn't many options, but we continued with our order to try the place out anyway. There wasn't any chicken options. Most were just pork selections outside of the turkey sandwich my daughter chose. The service was slow and when they brought us our food, they returned multiple times to ask us what was missing after bringing us only 3 out of the 7 total things we had. They also told us after bringing out the first set of food that there was no rice, so we went up to ask for a completely different meal which was much cheaper than the rib plate special. They asked with an odd tone if we wanted a refund for the difference. Yes! Of course we do! Then proceeded to tell us they had rice. So no refund. Shortly after that they bring out just one of the rib plates and not the other. After quite some time they ask if we're missing anything to which we replied yes....the other rib plate that my brother ordered separately. We didn't mind the wait, until we received our undercooked, heavily drenched in oil seasoned potatoes that we learned were French fries. My brother also had potatoes in his burrito that were also not cooked. My ribs were very dry and not tasty. The Kim chee slaw tasted like straight vinegar, not pickled, and just not a good flavor. Mac salad was also incredibly dried out and the macaroni was not cooked well. I could have forgiven the service had the food been decent, but it seemed as though the food is normally not good and the staff was not professional. We could hear the cook yelling at the order takers not to accept any more rice orders? That seems odd for a Hawaiian restaurant. The gentleman that brought our food to our table stood and stared at us then whispered the food that was to be passed out (I can understand shyness, but you have to at least speak at a volume where people can hear you). If others have a better experience than we did, that is wonderful. But I can't see us returning to support this business as much as I'd love to support a Hawaiian business in Las Vegas.

Wow, where do I began? We were at the sports park for a soccer tournament and my sister wanted to try this place out. She said there used to be a local Hawaiian restaurants called cinnamons that she used to go to. From the reviews and pictures, this place looked promising. It is counter served and there are plenty of tables throughout. It was clean and the decor was nice. The cashier wasn't very helpful when we placed our orders. We ordered a rib plate that consists of white rice, Mac salad, ribs with guava bbq sauce. I ordered the tacos which were Kalua pig, shredded, into a hard corn shell. The rest of our party ordered another rib plate, 3 orders of fries, side of bacon, kalua pig, turkey sandwich, shake, and a burrito. AFTER we were done ordering was when we were told there was no rice. No rice at a Hawaiian restaurant....hmmm, red flag. The cook or who we assumed was the cook came out to tell us and let us know that she could substitute it with Mac salad but without the rice, the two rib plates wanted to change their order. She made it super confusing asking if we wanted to just exchange it for something else or get a refund and order other things. The plates were the most expensive things on the menu, of course we would rather get our full refund and order something else of lesser value. As we took some time to figure out what to order instead, we go up to the counter and as we were about to order, she then tells us that the rice would be 10 minutes if we wanted to wait. What? 10 mins, well duh, we would rather wait. She should have said that in the first place. We then hear her yell at the staff, NO MORE RIB PLATES OR RICE ORDERS. Super rude and inappropriate. We started to get some of our orders. Fries, side of bacon, and turkey avocado melt sandwich. The fries were atrocious. All under cooked and completely drenched in oil. It was bad. Sticking a fork in it, the fork wouldn't even puncture the fries and slipped off because of how oily it was. At this time, we had hungry kids and tired adults. We didn't even think it was worth it to ask for them to cook it more as the cook was so rude. They brought out one rib plate and the Haleiwa bomber burrito. The rib plate was missing the guava bbq sauce. We were waiting for the other rib plate as well as the tacos. A guy came out to check on everything and we told them we were missing several items, rib plate, tacos, and the shake. We were beyond annoyed that we spent all this money and all the food tasted like crap. 3 minutes after that guy asked what else we were missing, that cook lady came out and rudely asked what else we were missing. Like what? You should know what you brought out already and what the heck we ordered. The place wasn't even busy, us and another party were the only ones there. They finally brought everything else out 15 minutes later. I don't understand how the 2 rib plates with the rice we had already said we would wait for, didn't come at the same time. The ribs weren't good, so dry, even sauce wouldn't help it. The Mac salad, you could tell was old as a lot of the macaroni noodles were hard, and the kimchee slaw was just plain awful. The Haleiwa bomber burrito was just as bad as the potatoes that they put in there were the same undercooked fries! The tacos were so dry and the salsa that came with it tasted like jarred Tostitos salsa. The guy felt bad and brought us 3 bottles of their hot sauce which was a nice parting gift to make up for the bad service, wait, and terrible food but good riddance. We unfortunately will not be back. If the Kono's manager is reading this, do not let that cook lady speak to your staff like that, it shows no respect and she was so rude. Good luck.
Be the first to ReplyYum! We were at the sports complex for a tournament.
Had the Kailua sliders. Delicious. Nice Hawaiian sweet rolls with slaw and delicious pork. The potato chips were crispy and just the right salt. My spouse had Old School sandwich. Another companion ordered the nachos. Two milkshakes and clean plates all around. I would return if in the area. Friendly service too!

This place looks good and when you walk the atmosphere gives you island vibes, when you go in it's counter service. However, the service was incredibly slow and the food wasn't that great, but the staff were apologetic and tried to compensate for the bad service.b
Be the first to ReplyWow! This place is an absolute gem.
Amazing service as soon as you walk in and the whole way through. Can't believe I didn't know about this place. I literally licked my plate clean. We got the sliders, and the Hawaiian bowl, and a coffee and everything was perfect. The sauces are exceptional. Music and the energy are just right - good vibes. Check this place out soon - you won't be disappointed. Can't wait to come back!

I hardly ever eat pork other than a slice of bacon now and then, a hot dog on occasion, baby back ribs, carnitas tacos, a Cubano sandwich once in a while, pork belly banh mi, sausage on a pizza, potstickers...maybe I dine on swine more than I thought.Where to go for some of the best in town? Kono's Northshore near Summerlin - they slow roast for 12 hours, resulting in very tender and smoky kalua pork. Try the 'bomber' (their version of a burrito), a tortilla loaded with pulled pork, rice, cheese, grilled onions, and a sweet guava bbq sauce. You may recall a local restaurant years ago called Braddah's, which served a very good kalua pork burrito as well...Kono's is equal and possibly better. Make that definitely better, because they're still in business. They open early, at 7 a.m., and the go-to meal at that hour is the breakfast bomber with eggs, cheese, potatoes, and meat in a tortilla. If you can, also swing by between 3-6 p.m. for a happy hour which gives you $4 off their kalua pork plate + drink combo. Their fresh-squeezed homemade lemonade and limeade can be infused with strawberry, pineapple, or guava juice and they also offer a nice rib plate - 4 good-sized flavorful ribs in sauce, rice, mac 'n cheese, and salad.Kono's dining room is very large with a lot of seats and an adjacent room for parties and catered events. Restrooms are spotless....or restroom, I only entered one of them. Although Oahu was always my least favorite of the Hawaiian Islands to visit, Kono's Northshore originated there and it might just be the best import from our 50th state (other than macadamia nuts, Kona coffee, and pakalolo). Find them close to Trader Joe's at West Washington and Buffalo. You'll probably enjoy their food even if, like myself, you don't eat pork very often.
