I've had my fair share of Michelin experiences but this one was definitely one of my favourites. I heard about this Taiwanese centered restaurant a long time ago, back when they were located in a strip mall! They only have the choice of one tasting menu with the option to add a wagyu dish. I checked the reviews and many people recommended to skip the add on so I did They didn't give us the breakdown highlighting what we had that night so, from what I remember:Amuse bouche: all 3 of these were delicious! Sweet shrimp, chicken liver, A5 wagyu tartare Hokkaido crab caviar: this was unbelievably good, the crab meat was sweet and plentiful, in a creamy sauce and served with warm, fluffy milk breadDuck: some of the best duck I've ever had. The skin was crispy, meat was tender and the peaches were so sweet and juicy and went well with the duckDuck fried rice: this was so full of flavour and they were very generous with the amount of pulled duckUni puff wrapped with prosciutto: I found this to be salty because of the prosciutto. The uni puff needed to be eaten very quickly since the filling was leaking outSnapper: the flavours were nice but the broth/consomme it was in was saltyShaved boba dessert: this was phenomenal. So creative, full of flavour and even though the "boba" were more like tong yun they were perfectly chewyThe service was also amazing, they were hospitable and not overly stiff unlike a lot of Michelin restaurants. I'd definitely recommend to save this for your next LA trip!
