Came to Jeju Noodle bar after snagging a reservation on resy after having notify on. The menu was a hit. The interior has high ceilings and beautiful lighting. We sat at a table near the windows and loved our experience. Let's get into it: 1) Toro Ssam Bap paired with seaweed to make your own rolls. Flavor profile and textures were amazing. Caviar and Toro complement each other so well. I watched the video of how this dish was created on Bon Appetit. Effective and creative. 2) Gochuchang Bokum - didn't realize there was so much rice in this one. We would have got an alternate to this since we already had the Toro. 3) Wagyu Ramyun - the wagyu was so tender and tasty. I would go back for it whenever I could. 4) Kyung Yangon Donkatsu. Pork was cooked to perfection. THAT TOMATO MUSTARD REDUCTION. *chefs kiss* We paired the meal with a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc which went extremely well with the dish. The service was phenomenal and our servers checked up on us during our meal periodically. Pricey place but great value.

Solid ramen spot in the west village situated in a beautifully crafted space. The minute I walked into the restaurant, I was impressed by the interior design, the seating arrangement and the music playlist. I'm used ramen places that are often in a shack, so this was a pleasant surprise. The host and waiters were friendly and helpful. We ordered the wagyu ramen and the fried chicken. The fried chicken is a MUST. It was perfectly crispy and the garlic sauce that accompanied it -- was incredible.

I was expecting to be blown away from this place given the wait and the prices but it honestly was just, not bad. We sat after a 1 hour wait for a seat for 2 at the bar and ended up spending $100 per person which included 1 beer a person. We ordered the Chicken Wing + Caviar, the Toro Ssam Bap, Wagyu Ramyun and the Lamb Ramyun. Favorites were probably the Chicken Wing + Caviar (chicken was crispy, sauce was good and who doesn't love a good caviar dollop) just know that this is why it's expensive. If there wasn't caviar offered with the dish, I think I would've opt'd for that. The Toro Ssam Bap was actually very delicious, the seaweed was very crispy but the price $50+ for this small appetizer leaves me wondering how much of a margin they have on this. The Wagyu Ramyun was pretty rich, while the flavors weren't incredible, we ordered it because that's what was recommended by the staff, and while this is one of the most popular dishes there, it didn't blow me away. Happy to have tried Jeju Noodle Bar but the value isn't there for me.

Earthing so delicious and love the service and ambience. Great location too.
Be the first to ReplyJeju noodle bar took a few months for a seating.
I got my hands on bar seats which I didnt mind. The atmosphere is pretty nice and quiet with dark lightning. It felt like walking into a nice lounge with a bar. The service here was on point. Everytime the food came out, the server that brings it will tell you what it is and how you can eat it. Service 10/10 Fried chicken 8.2/10 Gochujang 9.2/10 Wagyu ramyun 8.6/10 Family ramyun 9.2/10 Overall good experience and will try to come back incthe future for some dishes that werent on the menu.

Adding wagyu to ramen should create a new incredible flavor/taste. But when added to average ramen, it's almost a waste of wagyu. When eating here, get appetizers and skip the entrees. Or at least the ramen. Very good - toro ssam. Good - truffle domi, a bit too salty. Skip - ramyun. Especially wagyu and gochu
Be the first to ReplyFinally got a coveted resy at this restaurant.
We arrived early and were the first in line. The hostess was definitely "in character" and very serious when she seated us at a four top table even though our res was for two. They ended up having to split the table and move the other half so another party could be seated. We ordered the fried chicken- overly fancy with caviar and meh. The red snapper truffle dish was a winner and full of flavor. I would definitely order that again. I got the carafe of sake- be warned it is a small-ass carafe and no where near worth it for $42. Someone else mentioned alcohol here is not worth it and I gotta agree. I ordered their "famous" wagyu ramen and my husband got the pork ramen. The Wagyu ramen was underwhelming as the broth had no "oomph" or depth of flavor. The pork ramen was flavored much better. We also added the soy marinated egg for $4 and it was so worth it. Overall pretty good food- I would order a different ramen with the egg and get the truffle dish again but would skip the wagyu ramen and chicken. Oh!- and get your alcohol buzz before you arrive.

5/5 - Dark & cozy, but we were seated at the bar with stools where I would have preferred a table. We had a reservation & that wasn't indicated anywhere. Service 3/5 - Attentive, but not excellent. The server took away my wine glass and didn't even ask if I wanted anything else to drink. Food 4/5 -Jeju Fried Chicken - Delicious. The skin was incredibly thin and crispy and the meat was SO tender/moist. Unfortunately, eating it was a weird experience. We put it on the small plates provided... but the piece of chicken was bigger than the plate. They delivered it without any additional utensils, but it was SO hot that it was difficult to eat with our hands. Not a graceful experience and we both made an awkward mess. Provide a bigger plate? or a knife & fork without having to ask. -Wagyu Ramen - Just tried a bite and it was rich/ flavorful. -Lamb Ja Jang Myun - Salty, heavy and too spicy for me.
Be the first to ReplyExpect bold flavors and fusion twists on classic Korean
Expect bold flavors and fusion twists on classic Korean dishes. It wasn't spectacular, but it was a delicious, casual meal. The ramen was a bit ordinary, but we enjoyed the other dishes like the lobster noodles with foam sauce and ssam bap. The noodles were bouncy and chewy, and everything was presented beautifully. Reservations are hard to get, and they're only open 1 month in advance.
Be the first to ReplyRamen is out of the world.
Love the ambience, service and want to go back to try the rest of the menu. Bummer it's so hard to get a reservation though!
Be the first to ReplySuch a good bang for your buck Michelin establishment.
Servers are polite and attentive, and the food is beyond delicious. Have been here a few times and their menu often changes seasonally so it's always nice to enjoy new items. Even at a 3pm, they are a full house so make sure to make a reservation as they probably don't take any walk-ins at all as the restaurant is also quite small. Nothing is too oily and their appetizers are maybe even better than their mains. Highly recommend the toro ssam (classic) and the lamb ja jang myun. Returning soon.
Be the first to ReplySo over priced.
Not good. At all. Terrible food. Ramen tasted rancid. Won't be coming back. Had to wait 30 minutes for our reservation in the cold.

Tasty Korean Ramen place with great seating and dishes second to none. Newly minted Michelin Star. $30 a dish. 4.75/5 stars as a dinner spot.

Literally the most amazing flavors and textures I have eaten so far!! The family ramyun had a super flavourful broth and chewy noodles. Not the most special dish of the night though. The buhsut ramen had a mild yet surprisingly cheesy flavor which mixed super well with the clear mushroom broth. The crab special was the crabbiest flavor I've ever experienced. The noodles were all coated super well with a crab sauce. When mixed with the crab foam and eaten with the small crab pieces, it was just crab explosion of flavor but with completely different textures happening at once.

Finally got the chance to try this place! Been trying to score a reservation here and lucked out with a last minute cancellation on resy. The place is quite small and intimate, but the staff is extremely polite. We were part of the 5pm seating, so we sat right as the restaurant was opening. Out food came out extremely quickly, we were done by around 6:10. We started off with the infamous ssam bap which is definitely a must-try despite the $$. If you like uni, I'd definitely recommend getting it as an add on as the serving was fairly generous for fresh uni flown in straight from Hokkaido. We also had the pork ribs which fell off the bone and had a unique marinade. Then we tried to wagyu ramyun which was rich but not too heavy. The lobster noodles were my favorite dish, surprisingly. They recommend not stirring the noodles (something about the emulsion) but the sauce was super creamy and possibly one of the best dishes I've ever had. Only disappointment I had here was finding out they didn't have a dessert menu but served scoops of either dark chocolate or green yogurt ice cream. Would've loved to see what type of dessert the kitchen could come up with! Will definitely be coming back here if I can grab another reservation!

**They only allow 4 people per table, so not the best place to bring a big partyOverall, the place is not bad. Food is definitely good but way overpriced in my opinion. There wasn't really anything special to it in my opinion for the dishes and appetizers to be priced so highAmbience itself was definitely great, staff was kind, and huge huge plus that their music was phenomenal (I even asked the hostess for the Spotify playlist as I left)Will I ever suggest this place to a friend? Probably not. Would I come back again if a friend wanted to go? Sure!

The vibes were great and service was good too, I wish there are more table seating available rather than bar seats so it could've been more comfortable. The famous toro ssam bap undoubtedly is the best dish of the meal. It looks simple with all the high quality ingredients stacked together, but just really delicious!Noodles were good but not that impressive in my opinion. The ja jang myun is non-traditional and the lamb flavor made it special, but the family ramyun is too much like a Japanese style ramen and the broth not as satisfying.

I've heard so many things about Jeju Noodle Bar, and having watched so many youtube videos, tik toks, and reading so many reviews... I honestly didn't think I'd ever be able to snag a reservation here. I'm not really sure how but one of my friends was actually able to secure a last minute reservation 3 hours before our meal, but otherwise this place is BOOKED. Located in West Village, the interior is warm, dimly lit, and surprisingly spacious for how small it seems from the outside. I think my party was one of the first to arrive, cause the restaurant slowly started filling up as we kept eating our dinner. Regardless of the busy service, everyone was so kind and friendly! Our waiter was attentive (poor guy filled my water so many times), provided great recommendations, and a fun touch I really liked was how they had little bins under the table for people to put their jackets in!I ordered the Family Style Ramyun, and shared the Ja Jang Ribs with my friends.Ribs were excellent. The meat fell off the bone so well, and the meat was perfectly tender. The sauce was sweet, but not incredibly overwhelming, and definitely made this meal a highlight of our experience. I also loved the pickles and potato salad that this dish came with as well! The Family Style Ramyun was definitely a lot more filling than I had expected! The broth was rich, flavorful, but definitely a bit on the heavy side, none of us could finish it. It had a strong pork flavor, and I loved the texture and thickness of the noodles. I also appreciate how they don't skimp out on the toppings, the bowl had endless shrimp, and even that itself was so well cooked. With the leftover broth that we took home, I honestly just put store-bought ramen noodles in the broth and it tasted just as good.Honestly I'd rate this place closer to a 4.5/5, but overall this experience was a major highlight of my trip, and I would definitely recommend you snag a reservation if ever possible!
Be the first to ReplyI have heard nothing but amazing things about this
I have heard nothing but amazing things about this restaurant. And it did not disappoint! We started with the Tuna Toro Ssam Bap. Its toto egg rice caviar and other stuff. You dpoon it onto seaweed wraps and make delicious hand rolls. Fantastic! Next was a truffle salmon toast of some sort. Yummy!!!Next was grill whole squid. You really cant mess this up! Perfectly cooled. I could do without their spicy mayo dip. Salt and lemon is all you need!I got the lobster noodle dish (Lobster Myun). This had such strong yet delicate lobster flavor and when I added a soft boiled soy egg and mashed it up and mixed it all together = HEAVEN!My buddy got the wagyu ramen which he devoured. I tried the broth - very good. Get this with soft boiled egg - no brainer. Overall 4 out of 5 stars. Too many michelin restaurants these days - not sure this deserved one but I will go back again. Match with cold sake and IPAs. Compliments to the chefs and the fantastic servers!
Be the first to ReplyNot sure about the hype of this restaurant.
I travelled from outside of US to give this place a try. Reserving a table was like winning the lottery/making a bidding war. The food was just average to be honest. The ribs portion looked different in comparison to other yelp reviews (some photos had less, some had more pieces). I received a larger quantity which made us hard to order additional dishes for a party of 2.The interior light was so dim that I could fall asleep midway during dinner. There was no area or hooks to place your bags. Two seat tables were so close to each other. Another table was just outside the washroom that to could hear the hand dryer blasting. The only thing unique was the ramen broth. It wasn't the standard shoyu or garlic booth you typically get.Maybe I'm nitpicking here because this is a Michelin star restaurant so I had higher expectations.
Be the first to ReplyWe waited a long time to get a reservation at this place
We waited a long time to get a reservation at this place and it was good overall... however, for a michelin star ramen restaurant, ramen seemed just okay. I've had better. Their appetizers were better than their main dishes. I don't think I would go back for ramen.

While there's no shortage of nicer Asian restaurants in New York, Jeju is among the few that truly blew me away. Every dish is creative and well-executed. Come here if you are a fan of Kochi, Ssam bar and the like. The star of the show was the rib appetizer, delightfully smoky complex flavor and just plain gorgeous. Despite having seen the dish on many menus, this may have been the first time I tried fried chicken with caviar and it was perfect. Love that it comes as a thigh and a drum, along with a tangy herby yogurt sauce. For my entrée I had the hwe noodle dish. Nice texture but way too much sauce masking the flavor of the fish. Had a taste of my friend's wagyu ramyun which was delicious. The broth reminded us of a traditional Korean beef stew. Shoutout to the highly attentive staff who ensured an elevated experience through and through.
Be the first to ReplyGood but not great.
The three dishes we got had interesting flavor profiles. The ceviche and truffle scallop had subtle yuzu flavors. The truffle scallop, in particular, was flavorful and unique but a bit overpowering. Wagyu ramyun was good but on the heavy side. Hwae ceviche was my personal favorite - acidic and citrus-y. This is all personal preference so I'm sure others would like it. Would come again only to try other dishes but would only order the ceviche again.
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance here is very cozy and elegant.
The standout dishes of the three that I tried was the toro ssam bap and the ja jang style ribs. They were so flavorful. Surprisingly the ramen wasn't particularly impressive, but it felt wrong not to try it at a noodle bar.
