Jean-Georges Philadelphia Reviews from The Last Year
A bit more care on the food balance and would be remarkable
Wonderful location, the view is incredible. Very good table service, waiters always prepared and very careful. The menu is interesting (also with some italian contamination), with fresh ingredients: the flavours tend a bit too much towards the international cusine, spoiling a bit the taste (e.g. the octopus was excellent exept for a dressing that was way too acid and hence overwhelming for the whole dish). Good wine list. Overall a good experience.
Restaurant worthy of a date ❤️
Incredible restaurant, with a wonderful view of the city, we were very well served, all the waiters were super attentive, the food maybe I didn't choose correctly, I ate deer meat maybe I should have chosen something different I would enjoy it better, but I intend to go back to the place, photos were taken beautiful

The three stars is simply for the ambiance, the views, and the amazing service we received. The food was horrifying, the lobster was not cooked throughly and the sea bass was lack luster. But again, the views are definitely worth seeing for yourself, such a beautiful restaurant, I wish the food matched.
Stopped by Jean-Georges before hitting the spa.
We were supposed to have dinner but ended up only getting a desert. The ambiance at 930p was great, not too crowded and the view is amazing. Menu looked interesting so i can't wait to try again
Birthday Lunch

Staff is incredibly rude and the views are always obstructed by obnoxious and incompetent individuals that aren't even dressed to the proper attire requirements. Menu is extremely limited and overwhelming overpriced for the microscopic portions that you receive. Don't waste your time at this wanna be restaurant!!!

If you're ever in Philly, you definitely need to make reservations at this restaurant! The service was amazing, the ambiance was stunning, and the food was to die for! Especially the sea bass. I could've at like 10 of those plates! Thanks again to all the staff I encountered! Jean, Maxwell, Rosie, Nick, and Berto! (Sorry for any incorrect spellings). See you guys next time!
A Must Do in Philly
I had a fantastic time at JG SkyHigh, the restaurant/bar atop the swanky Four Seasons Hotel. It’s worth a visit alone for the awe inspiring, turbo charged glass elevator ride, which fires you up 60 floors to the gloss & gleam of JG Vongerichten. Once there, it’s a stunning, airy space of wraparound glass, with THE most amazing views in the city. Food was delicious, & given the high end surroundings, I didn’t think, hideously expensive. Service was speedy, polished & free of pomp. You can come for breakfast, lunch, supper or just drinks & snacks. Food was delicious.
Amazing anniversary dinner, highly recommended
9/10. Ambience and views are outstanding. The food was excellent, with a varied selection for the 6 course tasting menu (which ended up really as 9 courses). Service was friendly and the meal was served at the correct pace. Some of the wine pairings had a great stories, but lacked in quality. Still, a highly recommended dining experience in Philadelphia, easily equivalent to the flagship New York restaurant where we have dined many times.
I saw an episode on YouTube of Joshua Weissman and JG
I saw an episode on YouTube of Joshua Weissman and JG cooking challenge then i realized i havent finished writing my review here, so Im here to finish what i started. My cousin was visiting from Chicago and i wanted to take her somewhere special and get some good views and photos while we were at it. I've been here at least 2 times already prior to this visit, so it was certainly an experience i wanted to share. I was carefully planning to arrive early enough to have seating without a reservation and still be able to experience the sunset. Chester was very welcoming and he showed me around and got my promptly seated at a beauutiful spot that overlooks the bar and the scenic view. Drew was my server and he was very attentive and accommodating. If your guest doesnt drink, they can actually make mocktails for you - its not on the menu, but you can actually tell your waiter what flavor you want it to be and what you want mixed into it. Same thing for cocktails - name it, they can make it. The food was delicious and very presentable. The flavors were very distinct and you can taste everything it was cooked with. Its not overpowering. It is to my liking. It was like a work of art. I had the great opportunity to meet and shake hands with Alessandro Picardi, the assistant general manager of their establishment. I had to share with him my praises for their quality and overall great service. It was a very unique experience, highly recommended and definitely worth a visit with your special friends, family and loved ones.
First off, the views are just incredible.
On the 59th floor of the Four Seasons hotel, which is the tallest building in Philly, you can't get any better views than that. We went at 2.30pm after lunch and before dinner so it was a light bites menu. We got to see 360 degrees view of the city during daytime, sunset and the city lights at night. The elevator up to JG was definitely a ride and an experience. The decor as you enter during the holiday season is just prestigious looking and the interior decor was beautiful, especially with the reflective ceiling mirrors. Now for the food, we had the hash brown caviar, kale salad with salmon, sea trout crispy rice and wagyu cheesesteak spring rolls. The $68 caviar hash brown was good but definitely not with the price. I thought we would at least get a few pieces of hash brown but it was just one small piece. I did like the soft and flaky hash brown but I've never understood the priciness of caviar. The cheesesteak spring roll was good though the meat was rarer than I expected. I'm used to normal medium rare wagyu but didn't expect for the spring roll to have that though. It had a light cheese inside and personally I prefer it that way. It came with a very vinegary tomato chutney type of condiment which was good but I ate that separately instead of combining it with the spring r The kale salad was refreshing and had a light drizzle of dressing. We added the salmon to it and that was cooked pretty well and soft and flakey. The sea trout crispy rice wasn't as crispy but I didn't mind the less crispy texture. The sea trout tasted like spicy tuna but with a stronger flavour. However, I've had better crispy rice tbh. Overall, definitely an experience to have. Reservations are hard to get for lunch or dinner. The downstairs bar area open just after 5pm.
First the view is spectacular.
Second the tasting menu was phenomenal, supported by a great personal (Jean-Paul and Michael to name a few) The chef is very innovative and the harmony she introduce in her creation is awesome. A palate explosion!
I've been to Jean-Georges Philadelphia twice.
The first time with my wife for brunch just prior to the pandemic, and recently with my parents and wife for dinner. They offer valet parking for $35. The elevator ride to the top of the building is an experience in itself and I suggest you go during daytime to take in the views. I also suggest you request a seating arrangement near a window so you can take it all in while you're there. The service is top notch although you should plan on being there several hours if your selecting from the tasting menu. My one nit is the food we had for our dinner experience. When we had our brunch everything was amazing, the flavor profiles were all very interesting, and it all just tasted superb. During our dinner, a lot of the items tasted bland, and others were extremely over salted. Like over salted to a point where they shouldn't have been served. Dessert was good though. Can't go wrong with sugar. Ambiance is half the price of the meal. Who knows what rent is at that location. They need to get their seasoning right though if your gonna charge a thousand dollars for four people for dinner!
Excellent experience
Excellent dinner. !st time at a JG restaurant. Served several of his classic dishes. Service was impeccable. Great wine list with several at reasonable prices. View is spectacular . Highly recommend!!

Came here for lunch and unfortunately couldn't enjoy the bite too much because it was during the wild fire. Food was just ok but the ride up the elevator was awesome and the cows during a normal day would be amazing hence the 4 stars. This place is all about the ambiance and views. Someone in my party did mention the food was much better for dinner so that may be the case.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.

I have a similar question, it seems like when money is refunded it doesnt go immediately what is the process of this since its essentially a debit card and not a credit card
